Rate this book
Sometimes the person that you need has been in front of you all along. To the outside world, Dior Ghazzali, was a young, beautiful, ambitious, and possesses everything girls her age dreams of. Yet, to whom much is given, much is tested. Being the daughter of one of the biggest drug dealers to run their hometown during the ’80s crack epidemic, Dior bore witness to a lot of things that her eyes weren’t ready for. After a tragic accident that cost both her parents their lives, Dior was forced to be raised by her big brother, who throughout the years taught her how to hold her head high and play the cards she was dealt. Romelo ‘Grip’ Poitier is every woman’s dream, but possessing the last name Poitier, he was taught one thing and one thing only—Life is like a sandwich. Any way you flip it, your bread comes first. Growing up with a father like his, it was always “get money, and fall in love later.” But how is that possible with a young woman such as Dior being a part of your life? Everyone knows that fate cannot be placed on hold, but what happens when it’s your best friend’s younger sister? In this heartwarming, hood romance, you will fall in love with Grip, a cold-blooded hustler, as he shows an angelic soul like Dior a side of love that she’s never witnessed before. In the process, she teaches him a few things about life as well.

Grippin’ Dior 1

This plot took tooooo long to develop! Being a nativeBahamian, cultural information was not accurate! Food description inaccurate information. Native Bahamians speak a native English Patois and not Haitian Creole patois. I’m an avid reader . Was about to close out the book when Bahamas was mentioned, I perked up but was disappointed about inaccurate cultural information in the storyline. Will be looking for Part 2 to see if discrepancies are corrected.

Good

A good read that I am enjoying reading. Well developed characters, that are likeable, interesting and loveable. There are so many unseen snakes and I can't wait for everything to come to light. Definitely can't wait for part two.

Ok

It’s ok but kind of all over the place to much focus on label dropping instead of key important points of story
