Wolfgang Anthologies presents Abandoned, a charity anthology centered around abandonment. 100% of profits go towards helping the homeless.
Stories included: 'The Promise of Feeding Time' by Andrew Bell, 'This Mansion' by Joe Young, 'The Cure' by Tra Cee, 'Gimme Back My Brain' by J. Andrews, 'Forever Alison' by Brian Fizpatrick, 'Mine' by I.M. Horne, 'Her Scabby Cat' by CM Franklyn, 'When Calls the Deep'by Mike Duke, 'Overnight'by Sarah Scutt, 'Look At Me' by Brian Scutt and Brandon Scott, and 'Shhhh' by Mark Tufo.
Obviously I have to plug this, as my short Gimme Back My Brain is tucked within but also because Wolfgang Anthologies have once again compiled some of the hottest authors currently making a mark together to bring us a charity anthology where all proceeds go to help the homeless. Abandoned brings us tales set around some form of abandonment, whether it being a loss, an abandoned place. These tales are all unique and never lose pace. You never really know what horrors and weirdness lurk within these pages.
This group of stories affected me in ways I couldn't imagine. Each story has been beautifully written and are unique in their own ways. Although I found some of the stories to be bizarre and strange, they were oddly compelling, and I found myself unable to stop reading until I finished the last one. I was left on the edge of my seat, with my heart pounding, needing to read more. The authors have done a brilliant job of getting inside their reader's heads. I definitely recommend this book to any horror fans.
