From the World of Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer.
The North Pole isn't exactly as it appears in fairy tales. It has the elves and Santa and his reindeer, but Santa and Mrs. Claus aren't the jolly couple the world believes them to be. The reindeer are all shape-shifters who transform into gorgeous beings in human form and are respected by all.
Luke has always known he was different. He's never fit in with the reindeer or the elves. When long-buried secrets come to light, he has no choice but to run. Forced to hide or risk his brother being caught in the crossfire, he does what he has to do to survive. He stays hidden well until the one moment he makes the mistake of letting his guard down.
Micah Matthews is one of the most loved nurses in the North Pole. He's funny, cute, and good at his job. When the big man himself requests Micah as a private nurse for a special patient, he agrees without hesitation. What he doesn't expect is to find his mate in the process. Micah knows it would be all kinds of wrong to stay as Luke's nurse once he discovers the truth, but is walking away even an option? What if the attacker somehow manages to find him and finish what he started?
Between a matchmaking elf and Santa Claus actually being nice, Luke is convinced he's been dropped into the Twilight Zone. Throw in some Peppermint Whiskey, a super-hot nurse, and a younger brother who may or may not have the hots for Santa, and Luke knows his life will never be the same again.

Wow, the author really delivered on this new addition to an awesome series! This one is full of hot sex, lots of humor and Luke and Micah becoming mates as well as a few others. Willy continues to be the funniest elf this guy has no filter, so let the hilarity commence. Love Luke and Micah and even Santa is turning into a nice guy! Pure unadulterated fun from start to finish.
This was book 6 in the Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer" series. Luke who we met in the last book was a rent boy in Mistletoe Hill who Dylan saved. He was attacked while walking turns out the guy was sent by his father to kill him. He is taken to the new center that Barry opened he meets his nurse Micah who is Willy's cousin and his mate. There was a lot going on in this book. Luke's father worked for Mrs. Claus and he was just as bad as she was and I hated his mother she never stopped her husband from abusing her son and she cheated on her husband with and elf and Luke is part reindeer and elf. When Luke doesn't recognize him Micah excuses himself from taking care of him. Turns out Luke's bio dad Logan tried to help him when he was attacked. Willy and the gang get drunk and Willy begins playing matchmaker turns out he was right Doc and Andrea ate mates. When his brother Drew is held hostage by the man he was hooking up with it is the same guy that attacked Luke. There mother was a gold digger her husband takes of and leaves her flat broke. This was a good read Luke also has been suffering from an eating disorder. I loved that the other mothers stepped up to not only help Luke but Santa Claus also stepped up and got a shock. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Author KC Faelan was kind enough to interview me about the latest Willy the Kinky Elf installment, Luke the Hybrid Reindeer & His Vivacious Elf. I discuss why this particular book is more personal than the others. I hope you'll check it out.
This year's installment introduces the reader to Luke and Micah. You might remember Luke from Dylan the Bad Boy Reindeer & His Virtuous Mate as the rent boy Dylan saved from being shaken down by a rough john early in the book. No longer a rent boy, he's still in hiding for reasons the reader will discover as his story plays out.
Micah is a nurse who's been asked to care for a secret patient. Of course, the reader knows right off that the patient (Luke) is Micah's mate. Micah is also Willy's first cousin, so expect the usual Willy shenanigans and at least one Peppermint Whiskey episode. You even get to meet Willy's mother for the first time ever. Let's just say the apple didn't fall far. ;) She's a blast.
Willy is on a serious matchmaking kick this year, so be prepared. He also doesn't believe in censoring himself. In other words, same Willy, different year. ;)
At around 88,000 words, Luke the Hybrid Reindeer & His Vivacious Elf is the longest book in the series by far. While the story is all about Luke and Micah, it also prepares the reader for the series finale next year, (yet unnamed) Santa's story.
With that being said, Luke the Hybrid Reindeer & His Vivacious Elfcan not be read as a standalone. There are so many characters from previous books that would confuse the reader if they aren't familiar with their individual stories.
Also, expect a new and (somewhat) improved Santa Claus this year. A huge thank you to Dre for suggesting I give him his own story. It's not something I ever considered until she mentioned it. Now, I know exactly how his story will play out.
Due to RL issues, the reading of this book was interrupted a gazillion times... grrr
Having said that, there was another major issue with my reading of this book... SOMEHOW I missed reading Dylan the Bad Boy Reindeer & His Virtuous Mate, so all the way through this book I kept thinking... Why does Dylan have a mate? *headdesk*
So, I will go forthwith and read Dylan's story... but let me give you my thoughts on this one first! It was a bit... bland? It was a nice read, with perhaps a few too many sex scenes? Yeah, I know... I can't believe I typed that either! LOL!!!
My heart went out to Luke and I was sooooo glad that Micah came into his life! We are given a few answers to past questions, but, of course, we were left with a few NEW questions... that evil Ms. Kay! *snort* LOL!!!
Looking forward to seeing how Santa works out his problems, but I will be sad to see this series end! :(
4.5 really. Micah and Luke are wonderful. I'm so glad we got to see Luke again. Secrets are revealed and matches are made. old characters are back and Willy is as hilarious as ever. I hate Mrs. Claus. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next book and seeing Santa get his. It was so odd seing Santa being nice.
This story is really all about Luke. Having met him in the last story I'm really happy to get his story here. He was clearly so troubled and I just wanted to know more. This story was great because you really get to know what Luke's story and how he ended up with Mistletoe Hill.
Luke and Micah were cute together. Micah knew he needed to give Luke space to recover after his attack. He may have recognized right off what they would mean to each other, but Luke needed to heal before he could really admit what was going on between them. But ultimately this story gives these two a little time together, while giving a swift kick to the major storyline with Mrs. Claus and apparently Luke's parents.
I enjoyed how this story came together and the new information we got towards Santa and Mrs. Claus. The whole series has been building up to the confrontation that is clearly going to be coming in the next book.
I am so loving this series and hate the fact that next years book about Santa will be the last.# This book is about Luke, the callboy we meet in the last book and his mate Micah. Micah and Luke meet when Micah nurses Luke back to health after he has been beaten up. This book is longer than the usual ones and that was good because it gave the story time to develop as well as have lots of funny moments with Willy and the Gang and the peppermint whiskey.# Loved it.
Luke the Hybrid Reindeer & His Vivacious Elf is the sixth book in the ‘Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer’ series. This stars Luke, who is half-elf and half-reindeer, and Micah Matthews, a nurse who is an elf. This is told in first person, present tense from Luke’s pov. What surprised me when I read this story, was I don’t remember the other books being in present tense. In fact, this book seemed to fluctuate back and forth between present and past. It could’ve been because while in monologue from Luke’s pov, he spoke in present tense, but the dialogue from the other characters and when Luke interacted with them, read like past tense to me. Usually I dislike present tense, but it didn’t bother me in this book, probably because there was more dialogue than monologue so it wasn’t as noticeable.
I love this series. It’s one of my most favorite to read and re-read. In fact, this review is based on a re-read because I didn’t get around to writing the review the first time. I still enjoyed this book as much as I did the first time. The blurb gives a brief idea of what the book is about but I’ll add a bit more.
Even though this story is humorous, Willy is present so how can this book not be funny, the author also includes some serious topics. There’s discussion of eating disorders, food insecurity, emotional and mental abuse from parents, found family, and making your own family. The author does a good job of having the characters work through their problems and by the end of the story, they have their HEA. However, the problem with Mrs. Claus and what she’s up to still hangs over the heads of everyone at the North Pole.
I enjoyed the characters. Luke grew in the story, leaving some of his baggage behind and looking forward to the future. He does admit he’s going to have to learn to let his brother, Drew, live his own life even if he gets hurt in future relationships. I liked seeing more of Drew in this story because he’s one of the MCs in the next book. Willy and all the gang are back, which means unless you’ve read the previous stories, you’ll likely end up lost and confused. It’s best to have read the previous books in order. We see a newer Santa in this story. He surprises everyone with his kinder, gentler, and more concerned side. That’s not saying he still isn’t self-centered at times, but this is a work in progress Santa who has his own book in Book Seven.
I really liked Luke the Hybrid Reindeer & His Vivacious Elf, and the cast of characters. I’m looking forward to Book Seven dealing with Santa, Drew, and how Mrs. Claus is finally dealt with. I’ll be sad to see the series end, and hope the author will write some short stories in the future dealing with Willy and all his friends. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. I give this, 4 Stars.
Best one yet. We get Luke's story in this one after meeting him in the previous book. He really went through so much at the hands of his family. We get the mystery while the North Pole security team and Santa try to figure out who attacked Luke and why. We get to see more of the depths of the damage that the evil HO HO has done. Micah and his family were so sweet. Of course we get more of the mom's and Willy in this one to bring in the humor and reinforcement when needed. Looking forward to Santa's story now that he's turning into a nicer guy without the evil HO HO.
One thing that I've loved throughout this series (and I know there's a lot of them) is the small tease we get of the main character of the next book. In Dylan's story, there was just a tiny mention of Luke but I already knew that I would love him. I'm a sucker for the underdog and I couldn't wait to hear his story. That was definitely a case of "be careful what you wish for" because I had no idea that his story would break my heart.
Right from the start, my heart hurt for this lost boy who had never known the love of a family. That feeling continued as more of his story was revealed. Luke endured way more than his fair share of pain and injustice. I never thought I'd say this but there may be a woman that I hate more than Mary Claus. Okay, not really. Mary is just pure evil and I really can't wait to see the end of her. Luke's mother runs a close second though. I can't tell you how many times I wished that I could rip her hair out. The indifference and disdain she showed toward her own child made me sick.
Thank god for Micah. He was an angel. He was so sweet to Luke while he was injured. I loved their chemistry and I liked that their relationship wasn't rushed. Micah gave Luke the time he needed to heal and to accept Micah as his mate. They are definitely one of my favorite couples.
I loved how the whole gang came together to keep Luke safe and the introduction of the Mothers was fantastic. I adore those ladies. They're such spitfires.
I am sad that Santa's book will be the final one in this series. I'm not at all ready to say goodbye.
It didn't take me a year to read this book. I read it in December of last year but the real world has been killer. Everything that has happened in 2020 damn sure hasn't helped. This is my first time on this account in a long time.
I loved Lucas and Micah. I even liked Santa Claus a little bit when I didn't think that could happen. The same for Blake Simpson who was a total tool before his story a few books back.
My favorite character is still Dylan. Who doesn't love a bad boy? And he wears leather and drives a Harley. What's not to love???
Oh, and Willy. He had me ugly giggling again. He's so bad.
I'm eager to read Santa and Andrew's story. Drew was introduced in this book. While I think it'll be good (I love this series), the jury will remain out until I read it. I say that because Drew is a little young and Santa is still a total butthead, as Willy my favorite little pervert would say. Santa was nice in this one but he wasn't in the books before. Until Dylan's anyway.
A fun series. This one had more serious moments, yet interwoven with Willy’s crazy humor and the group of moms made this book. Lucas, an ex-rent boy meets his mate, Micha. The hidden secret of Lucas comes out. He finds love and a new family. And just when you think a great happy ending, then Bam! Drama, drama, twisty turns, leaves you wanting the next book!!
Super cute story. It had me chucking frequently while also feeling like I just wanted to hug Luke after everything his parents were putting him through. The series is so much fun, and I am really looking forward to seeing how this all wraps up.
