All through the centuries since Jesus Christ established His church, believers have drawn great comfort and blessing from reading the book of Revelation. Through periods of persecution, Antichrists, and world-shaking events, the longing of His people is echoed in the words “Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20).We may feel daunted by the study of such a challenging book. But God will bless each one of us who comes with a mind that is open for Him to speak to us. We need to allow the words to search our hearts and prepare us for times ahead. In approaching the interpretation of the book of Revelation, the primary intention of this book is to present a simple and straightforward account of its meaning. The main aim is to allow the chapters to speak to us as individuals; to challenge us in our walk with the Lord and our readiness for His return. God desires to comfort His people with the sure promise that this world with all its troubles will soon pass away and a new world will take its place.
