Firefighter Trent Gage and Paramedic Harlie Atwater have history. A one-night-stand, seven years earlier, to be exact. A one-night-stand she walked away from without a backward glance. Now, slowly recovering from a brutal attack by her abusive ex-boyfriend, Harlie is slow to trust. When Trent finally lets his guard down and gives her a second chance, she realizes he truly is the love of her life. But old ghosts lurk in the background. When Harlie’s past comes back to haunt her, it threatens her relationship with Trent again. This time, there is no walking away, because what is haunting them is determined to destroy them both.

Jennifer Hayden was born in Washington State. During her childhood and young adult years, she spent many hours lost in the adventures of a good book. She began writing her own stories at the age of 12 when she "ran out of books to read at the library." By the time she graduated from high school, she already had a job as a secretary/office manager, where she eventually met her husband, Mike. For the next several years, she wrote in her spare time, sharing her manuscripts with friends and family. At the urging of two good friends, she decided to go for broke and leave her secretarial career behind in pursuit of this magical literary journey. She now has 54 books available.

“I won’t let you down again.”

Paramedic Harlie almost lost her life to her ex. Now with him in prison, she can try to rebuild her life. Firefighter Trent watched the woman he fell for being abused for seven years. Now that she’s on the mend, can they reignite the fire? Or will someone more dangerous than her ex get in the way? Book three did not disappoint. This group of characters keep things interesting and fun. Amazing read! Enjoy!!!

For whatever reason amazon didn't send me an email saying jennifer hayden had a new release like normal. I was thinking of nick and Colby so when I looked up book 2 i was so surprised to see books 3 and 4. This one is my favorite so far and im very excited to see what happens in 4.

A real plot!

Once again, love the characters, setting, and plot. If you are looking for a romantic suspense type book, this series is wonderful. Actually, she has a great selection in that genre.

SUSPENSEFUL

The idea behind the story is very good, but the story itself was choppy. Most of the characters are likable.
