I really liked the previous book but this one was although good, frustrating.
The couple both have issues and although the Hero's previous behaviour to the heroine was awful in this one he is really trying and she just doesn't believe him, accusing and questioning him all the time.
The heroine has her own issues so you knew from that and the blurb that their issues would not just go away but she pushed so much it got beyond frustrating.
It's a difficult line to walk without the reader feeling it's too much or they'd be better off apart.
I bordered on thinking the should walk away.
The heroine was bitchy, constantly shouting and complaining.
HEA. If you can think he can be happy with her.

The Hero says he hasn't been with anyone in a long time.
There are references to previous dates.
There are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.

A great ending

Alexi and Cam by far are my faves of the Carrero series and this has been a great ending to their story. It was a joy to read how the relationship changed and developed.... now just need Alexi's POV

I had been looking forward to reading this book for ages, I love the style of this series, it’s completely addictive reading for me and this book was no exception! From the first few pages I was drawn back into the world of Cam and Alexi, desperate to see how things were going to go with their relationship. I was not disappointed at all, some very definite WTF moments that are Leanne’s trademarks and some unexpected revelations too.
The characters just get under your skin, even when I wasn’t reading the book, I was still thinking about them and their situation, trying to second guess what would be the outcome. There aren’t many books that I completely loose myself in but this series I did. Such strong characters and some emotional back stories that keep me intrigued and interested throughout. So much more than a romance story, it has so many more deeper things going on.
For me, it was the perfect ending for the series, it had everything I had hoped for and more. Now looking forward to seeing who I’m going to become addicted to next, when book ten is written.

The final book about Alexi and Camilla


I’m going to try to do this without spoilers! The most important thing I can say is that if you love Contemporary Romance novels and want to read a series that deals with more than the normal fluff I can’t recommend this series enough!!! I have been reading romance for over 30 years and this by far is my favorite series ever!!! This is the ninth book and each book gets better and better!

We have been on a roller coaster ride with the first two books about these two tortured souls and to say I was dying to find out how their story ends is an understatement!

Marshall pours out her heart and soul while she shares the back stories of Lexi and Cam with the perfect amount of detail to the point as I was reading certain scenes I felt like I was there watching the scenes unfold in person!

This book answers so many questions from the previous two books on why these two have behaved the way they have with each other and if you don’t have an AHA moment that makes you fall in love with them then you should go back and read it again as you have missed something!

Molto bene LT Marshall with another fantastically, amazing book of Carrero perfection! #TeamAlexi

What now...

So the conclusion of this three parter (of nine so far) is a rollercoaster of epic proportions! Everything has been tied in up in a pretty bow. I must say to be honest this three parter is one of my favourites and I think I’ve been converted to the darker side 🤭. Another amazing read, if you love drama, romance and things relating to people clawing their way from abuse and giving them the finger...these books in general are a MUST READ!! Thanks again Leanna Marshall I’ve enjoyed every word of this book I could not put it down! #theyalldie 😂

Couldn't put it down.

Perfection! Once again L..T Marshall has given us a superb end to Camilla and Alexi's story.
We see Camilla grow in this installment and come to terms with many feelings that she would normally run from. Alexi will always be the protector and very much the Alpha character who will not be crossed. I love how we see the little glimpses that tell us he is still human and not used to feeling anything other than anger.

This is my favourite couple out of all Carrero series and can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

Wow! London and her Mafia King go out with a bang!

I’m devastated! Devastated that Cam and Lexi’s story has come to an end but oh my goodness what a book! Their relationship has pulled me in from the beginning with all of it’s dark undertones, snark, protectiveness and combustible chemistry. Both damaged and lonely souls finally finding their way forward together. LT Marshall has created a Carrero world that I just get lost in every time I open one of her books. I’m looking forward to what’s in store next for other Carrero’s. You really need this series in your life!

Emotional Rollercoaster!!

After speed reading my way through the grand finale of the Alexi & Camilla trilogy, I think I need a break. I loved the adventure with these two, but I found it emotionally draining. It’s a good read and a lot of thought went into the development of the characters. I have to admit there were times I wished I could slap some sense into both of them at different times, but I could also empathise with their vulnerabilities and feelings of inadequacy. After a short break, I will settle down and read the series once again in a more leisurely manner with a lot less angst.

If you have been following my reviews or blog for a while then you will know I absolutely ADORE the Carrero Series by L T Marshall. Each couple has a trilogy, and this is the final book in Alexi and Camillas story.

In true Marshall fashion, the conclusion to the second instalment left everyone excited for the next book, and yet incredibly frustrated! I needed to know what would come next! But what made this ending even more clever, is the shock factor was wholly different to the previous, yet was perfect for the couple.

So starting the book, we start in a very different way to the previous “OMG” of book 8, yet no less intrigued to see where this is going. I have adored this couples story, two very troubled people with disturbing and often brutal pasts. You know that the two together are going to be incredible if they can work things out, and in this book we see more of each persons story.

We find out about where Alexi was for the missing months between books 7 and 8 and WOW were they worth waiting for!! In true Alexi fashion, he acted just as you might expect from his Character, yet probably didn’t guess! And that right there is the beauty if this Author. You never know what is coming, but when it does you know it is going to suit the characters perfectly.

Several scenes within this book teach us about Alexis past, about some of the why behind actions and reactions for both Cam and Lexi. We start to see just how these two can work, with the fire between the two in both attitude and sheer chemistry, it all comes together brilliantly!! I won’t say perfectly because that’s just not who these Characters are. Stubborn, hotheaded and full of attitude, you know they’re a perfectly imperfect match that will buttheads impressively! But for them, it is perfect.

Scenes come up that will shock the reader immensely, make you want to throw the book at the Authors head. But hey, she likes it. She THRIVES on our torment, and so we have the traditional moments where we sit back and say “WOW, what?!” That’s why we love it. At least.. that is what I tell myself at 6am when I had to keep reading because I just needed to see how this scene would conclude, and then I just needed to see how the next would... and the next... and oh look, my daughters up for breakfast.

Whoops.

Seriously though, I absolutely adored every page, it was perfectly imperfect for Camlexi. I loved seeing how this would work, they may be stubborn but they’re learning to work together to get past that. Each tries to compromise and reason with themselves to see the other persons side in a situation, sometimes with hilariously understandable and believable results. When you get to the bath scene, you will totally understand. I laughed and sniggered so much there, I had to leave the room so I didn’t wake anyone else. I have since reread it THREE TIMES GUYS and I still laugh at this scene.

I equally still sit at the edge of my seat, tense in moments because my mind is going “NO what?!” Even whilst I know what is going to happen next. This is a book that covers incredible amounts of emotion. I have laughed, cried, called the Author every name under my breath, whooped in excitement and snickered at clever comebacks.

If you haven’t got stuck into Carrero yet, then you absolutely NEED to. If you have, but haven’t read this yet, then GET TO IT. Seriously. If you enjoy contemporary romance, you do NOT want to miss this! WHAT a ride!

I loved the last two books and couldn’t put them down. This one was a drag though and kinds cringy, During the entire book you just want to shake Camilla bc she is so annoying and breaking down over nothing all the time. Like we get it you have issues but come on. I have nothing negative to say about Alexi at all in this one, he was a sadistic prick especially in the first of this series but showed in this one he really did love her and was willing to change for her.

Also something I don’t understand is Camilla is constantly talking about being seen as classy and elegant, this is also mentioned by Sophie in her book. Despise this as soon as his mother see her she is all of a sudden having a ”whore” look. Like I get his mom is a real big asshole but why would her automatic response be that she is a whore if she so classy and elegant?

Camilla has waaaay too many thoughts, way more than in the other two books. Its pages and pages of her dwelling and rethinking everything he does its annoying.
Something I also noticed that wasn’t mentioned all the time in the last books is the term ”mafia boss”, both she and alexi uses it and its kinda cringe honestly. Also with whole queen and king thing.

Honestly the first two books I couldn’t out down and read them in a day. This one was just a drag though, and the series would end amazing with just two books. I think this applies to alla the couples stories in the whole Carrero series though.

Not one for a long review but I will try with this.
Well we're do I start? Actually loved this book although being honest Camilla was kinda getting on my nerves throughout. I really do see were she was going tho with what she had went through all her life and can totally sympathise with her and her own demons but she pulled me back in with her sass as always and loved seeing her be vulnerable as well as Alexi....Alexi? We're do I start...I love that he came through for cam all the way through this book but still kept his bad mafia boss aura about him God I love him haha he really is a kingpin and now I'm going to 're read the 1st cam and lex book again.
Happy reading peeps hope I've fone this right as do not want to spoil it for others who have yet to indulge xxx

I have no idea where to start with this, this is book 9 in the Carrero series and the final instalment of Alexi and Camilla’s trilogy. I will do my best to remain spoiler free, but please forgive me if I let anything slip 😂

I put off starting this trilogy for a year, because I knew L.T. Marshall would leave me wanting more after then ending of each book. Once I started book 9 I was instantly sad because I knew the end was near, but in true L.T. fashion she didn’t make it easy and took us on an emotional rollercoaster.

We got to see more of the past and background of both main characters which helped us to understand why they both are the way they are. It was nice to be able to see why they can’t just fall into each other arms and claim their undying love for each other even though that’s what you want.

As the story develops you see them both starting to open up and relax around the other and even start to let each other in, but again it’s not all straight forward, they give a little and then take a little back. the constant push and pull of it made it feel more realistic and also meant that neither of them lost their true selves in the process! Alexi remained the controlling bossy arsehole and Cam remained her sassy ‘never back down’ self.

This is by far my favourite trilogy of the three and Cam and Alexi’s story will stay with me for a long time.

I’m definitely #teamlexi now I couldn’t help but fall for the broken bad boy ❤️

Attention catching

Loved reading this book, after reading the rest of th series, I have been waiting for the release of this book and it didn't disappoint, gripped me from the start, twists and turns. Couldn't put it down, highly recommend it, and all the series. Happy reading
