The Four of Us

Rate this book
James just hit rock bottom. Fresh out of the most grueling breakup of his life, he has nothing but a small suitcase, an old junker car, and a dream. None of these things protect him from the increasing intolerance of the world against gay people, and a fight in a rest stop bathroom leaves him feeling like he has nothing left.

The stars align and a chance encounter leads James to meet Blake: A gorgeous man on a road trip across the United States in a bougie modified bus. Blake invites James to come with him, gets him cleaned up, and the two bond faster than either of them ever expected.

When they get to California and meet Blake’s handsome partner of 6 years, Dante, an unmistakable chemistry begins to brew between the three men. Soon after, Dante gets a call that his stepbrother Max was whisked away to a camp run by religious extremists as soon as he came out of the closet. Together, the three men work to rescue the fourth.

Can Dante and Blake overcome the wall that’s slowly been forming between them, or is their relationship past the point of no return? Can James accept kindness without feeling like he owes people things? Can Max ever learn to trust again?
And what are they going to do about the elephant in the room that none of them will talk about: The fact that there’s far more than a friendship growing among the four of them?

**This is a 70,000+ word romance novel about 4 men in a relationship. Not two couples— four individuals tangled together in the throes of love and emotion. Therefore, there is no “cheating” in this story. This is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger and HEA guaranteed. Readers can expect several extra spicy scenes.

Here we have a different story of a hateful organized group, hunting, kidnapping and terrorizing LGBT folks across the US. All are on the run from the religious crazies, who are rampaging.
One man is Special Forces, Dante, and Blake, a Psychological Therapist, both 30s, who are a couple. Blake is on his bus, traveling from New York, when he finds James, 18, beaten and broken, so he takes him to Dante in California. James is on the run, and in need.
Each man desires the others, and then there is distress as they learn of someone Dante knew, Max, 18, is taken and needs rescue. Blake, Dante and James take off for Oregon for the young man.

In the midst of all the action, our men are struggling within to cope with their pasts. We have angst, secrets, and sorrow surrounding them all, as they keep moving.
When all are together, the attractions of the four flare up, and require some frank discussions. Once the guys understand the dynamics, they proceed with each other, and the trip to find safety.
It's unique, super sexy, and suspenseful. HEA.
Enjoy !

This has an intriguing storyline and four emotionally damaged men on a trip to heal themselves and each other. Blake is tortured by memories of his best friend Michael, left New York because of the extremist church taking over America and rescuing his bf from himself. Dante is tortured by what happened while he was in the service, so he drinks a lot to numb the pain. James is running from the church and his family, who want to send him to a camp. He also reminds Blake of Michael. Max is Dante's step-brother, he's been sent to the camp by his parents, and Dante asks Blake and James to help rescue him. The guys are likeable and sweet.

All the Feels!!

This book grabbed me from page one. I laughed, I cried and I got turned on completely!!! Thank you Jeremy. I will be looking forward to finding more of your books. This is only the second book I have read about four guys in a relationship, and just like the one by Sloane Kennedy, this one hit it out of the ballpark! The dynamics and the personalities of these guys
together and as individuals was wonderful. A true winner.

Waste of Time

Dystopia/ Anti LGBTQ Cult is taking over the US.

Extremely sloppy and inconsistent. Poorly written. Contradictions from paragraph to paragraph. There are so many ridiculous inconsistencies 🤦‍♀️, timeline is jumbled mess 🤷‍♀️, their ages 😱, wondering up to youth camp (conversion prison) just plucking your guy and waltzing away 🤯, plot lines pick up and drop off like rain in spring 😡, then the last 15 pages are utopia 🙈🙉🙊

H. O. L. E. 3.5

Don’t let blurb scare you—compared to others in this genre there is surprisingly little sex. It is organic to story and not tossed in to titillate.
The book runs long.......so much angst. Author could have left a couple chapters out and book would be more enjoyable.
Some minor details about timelines, contact info, history and what not—but overall well edited.
A brief lesson into what “Special Forces” are and what that means would have helped book much more than another chapter of “should I be attracted to this person?”
Author should set more novels in this universe, quite the hook with anti gay group (too bad reality is closer to this than it EVER should be).

Way too many grammar mistakes in the first 20 pages. Needs a major editing overhaul. DNF.
