I love the world that Jaybe has set her books in. It has a well developed history, background and concept - and she obviously has a plan of where it's going to go.
The writing in the books is decent and the character development is solid.
Although I don't rank it on quite par with Patricia Briggs' series, it only missed the mark by a little bit and has potential. This, and the others in this world setting, will definitely appeal to anyone who likes the genre.

Story 4 stars. Love Petra. Gargoyles are awesome. These are in tune with their emotions.
Audiobook: 2 stars - The narrator reads like she is in a classroom. She is so constantly intense it is not good for commute drivers! Road rage commence! The voices of the characters are why 2 stars and not 1. Please do not use Miranda West again. I hope she has better audiobooks.

Wonderful series
Love these books full of fast action and great characters. Has great plot that keeps moving and doesn't drag into expect situations like some series. Can't wait to read the next book.

Intriguing
With the mix of modern day cell phones, tablets and language and then the fae magic, castles, swords, rulers ,old gods and the battles fought. It is action packed with some romance thrown in. Prophecies realized. A great read
