I decided to give this book a look as I came across Sgt Christopher Curtis’s YouTube channel a while back, and find him to be an interesting guy. Curtis is a likeable guy (unless he’s arresting you I suppose lol), he has a hell of a past and offers some interesting insight into his former profession. Curtis was a Marine who because a police officer in Las Vegas. He’s traveled the world and is very knowledgeable about all kinds of things.

The book itself is very insightful, with stories and nuggets of wisdom from his many years working for LVPD. The writing itself is not bad either, though there were some odd things throughout which made me feel like the book could’ve used a more thorough editing—not that anything needed to be cut, I just think some of the presentation could’ve been slightly tweaked a bit. Overall, nothing major and the book is still interesting and readable for anyone interested in this kind of thing. I would definitely read another book by Curtis if he decided to write one!

Great explanations

I enjoyed this book very much. He lifted the curtain on how and why police do the things do.and helped to drive the point how dangerous it is to be a cop.
