...or her family’s, at least.

But she’s back, and I’m hooked.
All my good intentions fly out the window.

I was going to serve my Kingdom?

I was going to give up my Royal titles?
Now, the only word I want to hear is yes, Prince!

Hello, trouble.
Goodbye, Prince Dashing.

What's a reputation, anyway, except something to be ruined?

Lilian Monroe lives in a luxurious jungle treehouse surrounded by lush greenery, with an army of scantily-clad men with rippling abdominal muscles ready to attend to her every need.

No, wait. That's not true.

Lilian Monroe spends her days dangling her feet into her pool, while a scantily-clad pool boy with rippling abdominal muscles feeds her chocolate-covered strawberries and massages her back.

Okay, okay. You got me. That's not true, either. Let's try again.

Lilian Monroe lives at home with her two children, three dogs, and twelve chickens. Her husband likes to work shirtless in the back yard. His sweaty, gleaming abdominal muscles ripple with every movement and he—

I'm sorry. I have to stop. Fine, I'll admit it. That one isn't true either.

How about this: Lilian Monroe loves thinking about men with rippling abdominal muscles serving her hand and foot, and she wants you to think about them too! She is an avid reader, writer, and lover of all things romance.

She loves everything from bad boys to billionaires. Her books are packed with sizzling-hot heat, action, suspense, and everything from second chances to single dads. She hates cheating and loves a good happily ever after (and rippling abs).

I really like this book so much but not so much that I want to read it all over again like others... I HATE THAT PUSHING AWAY THING😂😂😂😂

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IMMEDIATELY WANTS THE HEROINE after he saw her for the first time especially when he saw her naked because she feels very too comfortable in her own house (which is very okay) so she was naked but they didn’t have sex though... THE HERO KEEP PURSUING HER AND EVENTUALLY HAVE SEX WITH HER! But then because the heroine thought it was a bad idea because of their families stories come up together, she thinks its best to leave it that and never happens again. SO BOTH FOR MONTHS JUST IGNORED AND STAY AWAY FROM EACH OTHER😒which in my mind was so annoying. Because both wanted each other so bad....

BUT BOTH HAVE THIS PRIDE THING ESPECIALLY THE HERO ALWAYS SAID IN HIS MIND ABOUT HIS PRIDE SO he didn’t contact her for the first few times and neither did she...

“BUT SHE NEVER CALLS ME BACK, AND MY PRIDE STOPS ME FROM REACHING OUT TO HER. I JUST LET IT GO.”
😒😒😒😒

I ALSO GET ANNOYED WHEN AFTER BOTH COUPLE ALREADY SETTLED THEIR PROBLEMS AND FINALLY BE TOGETHER OFFICIALLY... THE HERO ALWAYS HAVE DOUBTS about the heroine if she was not in the mood or if they didn’t see each other for quite a while because both are so busy with their job! HE ALWAYS questions this childish things.

“Maybe she’s second guessing this relationship? Maybe she’s not happy with me after all?”

Especially when something happens with the heroine, oh boy did the hero just got it very hard. He was being so down and even blames everything to himself when he should do is fight for her....

IT HAS PUSHING AWAY FROM THE HEROINE AND HERO and because both are always insecure about themself for each other, I can’t take it anymore!!!

The hero is a doctor and the heroine is a scientist.

HOT SMUT SCENES, NO PAST PARTNERS MENTION, NO DRAMA WITH OW AND OM ONLY WITH FAMILY DRAMA, THE HERO IS NOT TOO ALPHA MALE, IT HAS SEPARATION FOR ALMOST 8 MONTHS BUT BOTH ARE FAITHFUL And didn’t go to anyone else ever, Happy ending... married and have kids👍🏽👍🏽

This is book 2 in the Knocked Up by Royals series about Dahlia and Damon. They were first introduced in Charlie and Elle’s story, Knocked Up by Prince Charming. The story and the characters were so great. Lilian Monroe did a wonderful job of bringing them to life. If you didn’t like fairy tales when you were growing up, I know that you will like these ones.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this book so much more than the first! There felt like there were so many more layers to peel pack and discover than in the first! Ultimately it ends in the same way, an unexpected royal pregnancy and marriage (I believe that this is actually the theme to this whole series) and the relationships/pregnancies all have slightly different plots etc. again, I will carry on with the series.

HEA Guaranteed

Much darker than I expected, but overall a good story. Even though this can be read as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend reading the series in order. It gives a background and builds on this storyline. HEA was nice with an epilogue that rounded out the story.

****Trigger warning for violence (never towards women)

For what I was expecting to be a light book - there was a lot of mental health & self harm triggers in it! For sure not what I was expecting and because of that I’m gonna leave it unrated

Her Dashing, Clean Cut Savage

Book 2 in the Knocked up by Royals series has everything readers of this magnificent book want and needs in a romantic suspense genre! Intrigue to the max, secrets, lies, betrayal and everything in between, besides of course a great HEA with lots of hot romance! A superb storyline that flows so beautifully, but I would recommend you read Book 1 in the series first, although it could be read as a stand alone, but as it is such a great series, splash out and buy them both! Lilian Monroe can do no wrong for me, she is such a prolific author with a great gift!
Their is instant hot chemistry between Damon and Dahlia’s forbidden affair or will it be cursed like everything else in Dahlia’s life! Damon and Dahlia are the most fantastic main characters with all the rest of the royal family and the Raventhal’s. Will Dahlia be safe in the castle as the curse her mother has convinced her off seems to follow her everywhere and can she lift the shadow of the curse by her own means? Will anyone in her family entrust Dahlia with the truth about the past family history? Does Damon want to complete his studies at medical school? Damon still believes in his dark thoughts. Will his tears and pain heal his dark mind as he tries to find evidence of his mother’s murder? What is the secret he carries about his hidden scars? So much turmoil in this great read that keeps you gripped to the very end of a book I can only but give 5 stars to this wonderful author!

Ok, so I read Bad Prince before this and didn't realize all the books are accidental pregnancies. But apparently the whole series is like that? Like. Really? Come on. Every prince is going to accidently knock up some chick they shouldn't? Ugh. That's annoying. Like, super annoyingly annoying. So I am taking off a star for it not being original. "oops, I did it again" and deja vu at its finest.

I will say the story is cute though, it does overlap a bit and then continue from the Bad Prince storyline and they uncover that in fact the former king, Charlie/Damon/Gabe's father, did in fact murder his wife with arsenic. So that was nice to officially come out.

Overall, it's an easy read with some of the same drama as the first book - forbidden romance (this time between the Prince and Dahlia - someone whose family has been exiled from the country for vocalizing accusations the former king poisoned his wife), an accidental pregnancy, assumptions the Prince doesn't want the baby (when really he does), and then the parents/family finding out about the relationship band forbidding it. It's just like bad prince. Let me guess, Gabe's book will be the same? 🙄🙄

I didn't like the titled chapters for Aunt/Lady Malerie in the book. The only value they added was to show that she did not have anything to do with the former queen's death. I found them unnecessary and also annoying because they were in third person instead of first person. The entire rest of the book is in first person based upon whose chapter it is and then you get to her chapters and they are in third person. Why? I totally found them harder to follow.

But what I did like/appreciate...

-Prince Damon was pursuing being a doctor and his studies to hopefully help others when he couldn't help his mom. He struggled with guilt when he was 8 years old and delivered tea to his mom. Though he never quite understood it. He had a darkness to him that led him to need pain to counteract it and would pay others to beat him. He got this a secret and private until it came to Dahlia. He ended up confiding in her after she saw his bruises. They grew together well. And their romance bloomed. He ultimately gave up being a doctor and decided to creat a foundation for mental health to help youth because he could have used the help growing up himself.

-Dahlia was studying to be a scientist. She was a smart cookie. Though I never quite understood why her parents sent her to live with her aunts in Colorado when they were exiled from the kingdom. If nobody is living in the kingdom, why can't they all live together? So yeah, that never really made sense. She was kooky and eccentric just like her aunts which gave her character more pizzazz which was just fun. She was unapologetically a nympho with a new guy every night until she met the Prince. She fell for him hard after their one night together and remained faithful to him even during their 8 months separation.

-King Charlie and Queen Elle also grew into their roles more in this book which was nice to see. They were suited to their roles nicely.

-Lady Malerie was just a jerk the entire book until the end where she realized how wrong she was about Dahlia's family and that had her own brother had poisoned the queen. So the growth in her ability to apologize to Dahlia and ultimately befriend her parents was a nice character development.

This book was honestly so different from the first book and I have to say that I was slightly disappointed. I still enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as I thought that it would be since there were parts where I was just confused why certain things were happening. I think that there were some holes in the story and then things were being revealed out of nowhere. Also, I didn't understand the point of having Malorie's point of view since she didn't add anything to the plot unless she was supposed to represent Maleficent but I don't think that it was executed well.

This is a Sleeping Beauty retelling but, maybe it was me because I haven't seen it in so long, I just couldn't find the connections. It had very few things that made me think about the retelling and honestly, it was mostly just an original story because for the life of me I couldn't find small things that made it seem like a retelling, it was mostly just the big event that connected. I think that you're still able to enjoy it as a story itself and not just for it to be a retelling.

Also, I was getting a bit annoyed by Dahlia because she was just completely different than how she was in Bad Prince. I really liked her in Bad Prince and I feel like she was really different in this book and it was a bit dissapointing. I mean she was unaplogetically herself and then in this book, she's starting to question everything and puts limits to the person that she likes.

Also, the plot of this book was just not done that great. I feel like things were just done weird because Dahlia kept saying how she wanted to know the truth about her family but stopped once she realized that she couldn't be with Damon. Honestly, I was just so confused about why she couldn't be with Damon besides the whole thing about her family but she knew that when she got with him. This was honestly my only problem with it.

Overall, I didn't expect this story to go the way it went. This story does have some dark aspects which I didn't think would happen. It was still enjoyable but like I said it didn't leave me satisfied because there just wasn't enough, maybe it needed more scenes or something, I'm not sure. I'm going to take a break from this series because the next book does look interesting but I'm just not ready to get disappointed again. Just to reiterate, these are just my opinions and you could enjoy this story more than I did!

This was a heart wrenching story. Wow, so much despair and sadness as well as self harm. I was really moved by this story. It was intense, dark and very emotional. I didn’t cry but it was enough to make my heart hurt for the both of them. I’m amazed at how much of a 180 Dahlia turned out to be once she got involved with Damon. She struck me as the one who would have no intention of slowing down but at the same time I knew this was coming due to the unconventional way they got together, and as a favor to Elle and Charlie. One thing I can say though is that it’s been really nice having the hero want to pursue something with the heroine first. It’s been a while since I read a book where the hero scorns love and a connection, while visibly showing desire. In this book, desire stands at the forefront and all the princes so far have had a rebellious steak and don’t want to get involved with duties as prince or king. They have also gone for what they want too, and it’s the women who catch their eye. The chemistry, heat and longing are so steamy that I found myself taking a deep breath and taking it in. I also loved how fast the book goes, it’s effortless. Even when a lot of time passes before Dahlia and Damon see each other again, or get the guts to face each other. This has been a trend in this series so far and I love how the author doesn’t stay in this state for too long. On top of this, I loved how the aunt on the past king’s side stuck around and played the villain. By getting into her head, you are exposed to her thinking while also offering insight on how the prince’s mother passed and the drama that ensues with it. I felt like there were so many layers to this story that kept drawing me in and I couldn’t put it down. I hope the next book is just as good as these first two have been.

A prince that gives up all his royalty benefit to become a doctor living his life in books.. this is the only way prince Damon feels that doing this will fix a part of him that feels empty for some unknown reason or becoming a doctor would give people a better fighting chance when sick so on one would have to go throw the hart ack like he did when his mom passed.

Dahlia family go way back with the royal family bilut after her mother was banished after the queens passing left dahlia mom no choice but to move away and giving dahlia to her aunts. Finally old enough to go to university dahlia moves back to no farcliff.. everything in dahlia live was great one night stands chilled life style into one day she sat in her kitchen with not one but TWO prince of farcliff being asked to fake date one of them.. putting aside all the hurt and resentment dahlia family have for the farcliff family she agrees to it.. with Damon sat opposite her she can’t seem to take her eyes off the mysterious prince Damon there is something about him or something he is hiding..

Dahlia and Damon also really want to get to the bottom
Of the mysteries behind both the family’s and what actually happened to the queen. Is the family history about to tear them apart?? Is dahlia about to uncover the true Damon and the demons his been hiding his hole life?

Would of given this book 5 stars but I feel giving the aunty chapter on what she thinking let’s this book down it gets confusing

Meh. Spoilers

This was a meh kinda book. But so was the last so I don’t know what I expected. Both leads have their internal struggles and conflicts and it just so happens the main likes to get beat up because 1.he feels like he deserves punishment and 2. It’s his coping mechanism. Obviously super unhealthy. I can’t help but feel like the author could’ve seriously spiced this up by switching his “needs” into a bit of BDSM play. A complete lost opportunity to spice up this book and revive the series.... aside from grammatical errors I don’t understand how malorie knew and was told about the allergy and then allowed the bee to sting the female lead??🧐 how was that not an attempted murder? How is no one else not scratching their head?? It doesn’t feel like she has the feelings of closeness and protectiveness over the main male lead. He makes her sound like a weird grumpy malicious aunt not someone he’d have fond feelings of and vice versa. So when his aunt loses it emotionally it just doesn’t make sense? Idk this was a book that was mediocre idk if I’d finish the series as a need to read . It was boring and bland.

2.5- 3 Just Okay Stars

On the fence about this book. However, I must be honest, I’ve been reading a lot ehh books lately so maybe it’s me and not the books idk, so take this review as you will...

Damon and Deliah both have internal struggles that affect their self esteem which contribute to their communication difficulties... this is not where I have the issue, the issue which caused me to skim 1/3 of the book was that it was always internal feelings and not enough going on... seemed the story at 30% and 50 % lagged and picked up ( rinse and repeat). I actually put this book down at 37% read two other books and then came back to this, I was only going to read the epilogue but thought I’d give it one last shot.

Concept was good the little time you meet other characters was okay. However, for me it was a flat read , not enough going on, and there was no major “feelers” ...

There is a third book about the third brother next , but... he only made a tiny cameo in this book and didn’t intrigue me enough for me to sally fourth.

DNF at 15% - personally I feel the synopsis misrepresents what the book is about.

The writing isn't horrible, but I wasn't connecting to the characters or that invested in the story. I would describe this as insta lust, and that faking dating tension was missing because it was super clear they were going to hook up early on.

It was dragging so I skipped ahead to find out when the surprise pregnancy storyline began, and it's not until 60%, and the hero doesn't find out until 76% into the book! Personally I expect books advertised as an "accidental pregnancy romance" to actually feature that as the main plotline, so I'm kind of glad I dnf'd this one.

Also, I wanted the hero to be a lot more broody and grumpy than he was. Maybe I didn't read far enough to really get that aspect of his character though.

I was stoked to discover I could borrow this one from a local library, because book 1, Bad Price was so fun.

This is not only another fun one, but it sorta picks up where some of the mystery in book 1 left off … we get mystery and lots of angst and the a better look at the kingdom, so now I’m officially invested in this series.

There’s so much royal drama, star-crossed lovers, feuding families, trauma, medical suspense … it’s all so juicy and fun. It’s got some ‘Romeo & Juliet’ vibes and Monroe did an excellent job packing the fairytale vibes.

Great character development, and I loved the bonus epilogue as well—it’s always need to see a bit of their future.

Fun read—4 stars.

Then he’s moving into her house - they are so happy. But he has a darkness where when he’s overwhelmed he pays someone to beat him up. She has him promise not to do that. She finds out she’s pregnant but he tells

She is allergic to bees gets stung and is in a coma. He is devastated and finds out she’s pregnant. He thinks she won’t make it so he goes to get beaten but she wakes up… and finds out he’s in the hospital too. She has them take her to him.

This book was crazy and a major step up from the first book. I will say that I did like that this one was a little darker and had more depth and I felt that this one has more family drama in it compared to the first one. I did like the relationship between Delilah and Damon, it was completely adorable and I also think that they brought the best out of the other, plus they were so supportive of the other in anything that they wanted to do. As I said from the first book I liked the slight Sleeping Beauty references this book had, while the story didn't really need them it did add so much to the story. Overall this was a good addition to this world of Farcliff and I was happy that we learned the truth of what happened to the former queen, I really can't wait to read Gabriel's story next.

Loved this dark version of Sleeping Beauty. This prince is anything but princely, he's a dark broody soul, tortured by his past. Dahlia is desperate to find out what happened in the past but it is not easy finding clues or answers. Throw in a wicked aunt for intrigue and you have a little heart wrenching tale.
Our previous couple Charlie and Elle, are woven into this story, which is something I really enjoy as the stories are connected as a series and I like to know what else happens after you finish the previous tale, also you get some clues about the fairy tale that will be used in the 3rd book. But you'll have to read it yourself to find out, trust me it is worth it!

Interesting second book in the series... definitely overlaps and builds on the first book, so I recommend reading them in order.
Dahlia and Damon, the seconds in book 1 get their own story... fighting their own battles and working together to recover from their complicated and intertwined histories.
More than a few nods to Romeo and Juliet, this story furthers the events of the new generation of royals as they work to find love and loives for themselves and move on form the old King’s actions.
Good HEA with some very hot romance.

Heartless Prince...

Royally Unexpected book 2. This book will play with all your emotions. It's angsty, highly dramatic, gut wrenching and plenty of WTF. Damon the middle Prince has plenty of secrets, depression and darkness. Dahlia the best friend(book 1) has secrets and insecurity issues . All of this partly extends from a connected past trauma that affects them both in different ways. Now add crazy family members from this traumatic past plus the whole business and it makes this a fabulous read.

What’s done in the dark ALWAYS comes to light

Carrying secrets and uncertainties from one generation to another only hurts, festers harm and damages everyone involved. The power of forgiveness rooted in the safety, comfort and security of love gives you the strength to face the impossible and start to live and love from a healthy place. This book ripped the scabs off of Barry healed wounds, revealed deep and painful bruises but started the mending process this family desperately needs to go through before the next generation of Fairclaws grow up. Great read ....

Heartless Prince 250 pgs *** 11/15/21 Damon & Dahlia

3 stars. This book was okay. There was so much talking in their heads, you only get about half a book and the book is short in the first place! It’s pretty much the same story as the first book with some changes in family history, career choices, etc. I did like Damon and Dahlia together, I just wish they had more of the actual story of them instead of them thinking through every thought. I probably will not continue this series as they seem to be too similar in their stories.

*sigh* This was an ok read. But it ticks off one of my biggest pet peeves... unprotected sex with a rando. But wait, oh he's hot & a prince so it's totally ok. *eye roll". And of course what you think will happen, does happen & that's when I checked out. The story was a bit bland, the characters weren't fully developed & I seriously just can't get passed the oopsie pregnancy. I'm sick & tired of this kind of crap being romanticized. It's not. It's irresponsible, dangerous & gross. I wish authors would stop with this formula.

fun and fast paced

Her family had been banished from the kingdom when she was young. Now she is back and falling for the prince.

The author delivered another fun fast read. We are able to fall in love with these strange and broken characters quickly and start rooting for them to fall in love. Dahlia is such a free spirit while Damon seems structured and regimented. They complemented each other perfectly.

This series has been a great light read that makes you want to read more.

I've listened to the audiobooks. While there were parts of the romance that I enjoyed, there are other parts that were too crazy.

First of all, the country (yes I get that it's fictional) is located between the United States and Canada. Then, Heartless Prince, is the second book in a series and it's about the sibling and best friend of the two main characters from the first book. Yet, they have the same as in the first story? They even joke about it.

I'm not sure why I'm still invested and planning to start the third book, but I am.

It wasn’t bad. I just found it incredibly boring & I had a very hard time finishing it. I was very close to DNFing a few different times, but I persevered!! Both characters are a complete mess individually & honestly have no business being in a relationship. They both need ✨therapy✨ in the worst way. There isn’t a whole lot to root for here when all I see are two broken ppl. Really, I changed my mind-it was a pretty bad read.

Damaged prince finds love again

Damon is definitely a damaged hurt soul. He needs pain to bury his own pain. He finds his light in a fiesty Dahlia.

I wasn’t sure how they were going to spin Sleeping Beauty into a modern romance but I must say it was probably close to perfect. Had all those tell tale story signs…except the dragon, even had the finger prick!

I must say I’m a little addicted to these steamy Royal modern fairytale twists.

No rating as I decided at DNF at 54%
This story is slow moving , lots of repetitive dialogue which makes it hard for me to connect to , and it’s the same attempt at angst as the first book
H wants h and Pursues. for some action and gets what he wants quickly .
h wants H but thinks she’s not good enough and can’t have a prince so tries to avoid him
And ignore him only to realize she can’t stay away …

Issues

Possible Spoiler

I liked the love story and how free the main character is. My problem with this book was the instant forgiveness the MC gave out like candy. Her entire life was affected by the verbal abuse of her mother. Then the hatred of another woman affected her health. At least take a minute to think on how your child could have been hurt or killed because of this anger. I didn’t like it.

Did not even realize this was the second book in a series until I started but didn’t seem an issue. I got frustrated halfway where details seemed to be missing (and this might have happened in the first book?) but it was a lot of back and forth. She wants to be with him, she doesn’t. She thinks she’s cursed, she doesn’t. Her mom is happy being back in the kingdom, she hates the kingdom. Aunt Malerie is evil, she is supportive. Nothing much to keep me going.

The whole "I'm pregnant but I'm too scared to tell my babydaddy so im just going to pretend there isn't a timer on this bun in my oven and live in ignorant bliss until it blows up in my face" trope is already disgusting, but its double disgusting with the hypocrisy of her telling her friend to go get a plan B but not doing so herself, and triple disgusting with her not even seeing a doctor for 2 months of pregnancy. barf.
Plus THE GOT DAMN WHISPERING!!!
