Omega in the Middle

Rate this book
Charlie Cox is a strong, independent omega who doesn’t need an alpha. Until he falls in love with two of them.

All straight-A college student Charlie Cox wants is a quiet place to study and rest his head, away from the obnoxious partying and drunken debauchery of his dorms. But moving in with two hot, hunky alphas proves to be an order of magnitude more distracting than he ever anticipated.

Gavin Grey and Luca Burnett are best friends and roomies, but the driven, hard-working alphas are more than that, too: they’re secret lovers, with plans to eventually add a third—an omega to share between them. But that’s not their main priority. For now, they’re far too busy racing against the clock to buy back Gavin’s childhood home from a developer before the house is demolished.

All they want out of Charlie Cox is a responsible roommate, but the strength of their desire for the young omega proves too powerful to resist, and they just can’t keep their hands off of him. Soon, all three find themselves wrestling with unintended consequences that threaten everything they’ve been working so hard to achieve.

Omega in the Middle is a 65k standalone, non-shifter MMM mpreg romance and book one of the Triple Heat series. This is a light, fun, zero-angst story with LOTS of steam, no cheating, and a heart-warming HEA.

A Non-Shifter MMM Mpreg Romance.

*I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*

3 stars

Charlie was an adorable nerd and his nervous babbling was cute. The two sexy alphas were complete opposites, Luca was funny and laid back whereas, Gavin was sweet and serious. The threesome scenes were explosive and I loved the intimacy between the Luca and Gavin.

This book was slow to get started but it did pick up eventually. I didn’t like the 2 month fast forward, it denied the reader, the sweet moments of them all getting closer, emotionally and physically.

3.5 stars for me. Overall, I really enjoyed this story between Charlie, Luca, and Gavin. I loved how great they worked as a trio. I also loved that Charlie was a very driven, determined omega - he wasn’t going to let things get in the way of his career.

I do wish we hadn’t had that skip of 2 months right when they got together. I wish we had gotten more
Moments of them in the early days rather than a quick summary of how closer they had gotten.

There are a few typical elements of ABO stories that I felt were either missing, glossed over, or written as if it was assumed to have happened, with the three of them being physical together, but overall this was steamy, sweet, and a fun read.

Definitely going to read the next book in the series.

Too Easy

If I have one line to describe this book I would say
“Too Easy”. Oh, wait I already did!
The author introduces us to Luca and Gavin, both Alphas, Lifelong friends and lovers since. They are searching, not actively, for an Omega to complete their family.
Enter Charlie..a charmingly cute Omega who has such perfect skin not even pregnancy dare mar it.
There are roadblocks throughout the story and I like that—life does not wrap up that neatly.....
And then.....
And then.....
All problems resolved. All of them in a twist ya saw coming from chapter three. Yes, you see it coming. Trust me
A word of caution. Abortion is brought up on multiple occasions and at one point it seemed to be going down that route (though look up...as I said all problems? Solved.

Way too easy. Still...

The conflict in this story gets resolved WAY too easily. Way, way too easily. It kind of almost threatens to suck you out of the story too easy. Honestly, that part of the story was almost enough to make me put this down.

That being said... It was still a great story. The romance really was sweet and sexy in equal measure. If the conflict points had been a bit more outside the realm of miraculous intervention I think this would have been 10x better.

Also this whole thing with Charlie's brother was like a slap. Just because he made mistakes in high school he deserves to be miserable? And Charlie makes it to college before he has an issue and he gets an unnaturally simple hea? Great great message sitting in there. I hope he gets happiness somewhere but honestly I doubt it since it feels like author thinks teen parents "squandering" their potential may as well be dirt. My opinion. Maybe I read too far into it, but that's the big message I was feeling from this book. Don't be young. Don't make mistakes until you are 20 and you TOO can find an unbelievable miracle to settle all of it.

Still enjoyable, though seriously grit your teeth about 70% in and just breeze past the thing that makes me want to scream.

Upsetting BS

A triad omegaverse? I’d love to… but:

This book has the most unrealistic of situations. The drama all slams home at once. Then in the next chapter it all just gets fixed. Every piece of drama comes with a lecture. You don’t know the characters enough to love their story and you don’t get enough of them together or in pairs, just told to like them as a triad.

But the issue with this book and why I do not recommend this book to anyone else is a single damn line at the end of the story.

“…we’d stopped being overly secretive about the nature of our relationship. We didn’t go around flaunting it, or dry-humping each other in front of school children or anything…”

Implying other “alpha x alpha pairs” or other “gay triads” do. In a book about gay romance, this comment is disgusting. I’d be furious to see it in a damn hetero book as well, but with the constant accusations we receive, this is insensitive and gross. Who even thinks of this crap? And who the heck says this about something positive?

I lost all interest in anything written by this author.

No experience!

MMM Romance with two Alpha's that needed an Omega.
They found a flatmate finally after looking for a while. This Omega is studying and wants some peace and quiet to do so as the Dorms are so disruptive. Seeing an add for a room to share not realizing it would be with two Alpha's that share each other as well.

“And they were roommates.” This sweet triad was so fun to read. Charlie sticking to his dreams even as obstacles arose that made it difficult was so wonder as so often omegas decide they don’t need those dreams and just want to be pregnant. Luca and Gavin were sweet alphas who just wanted to spoil their omega. Super fun read.

This was a nice read. It was entertaining and held my interest. I didn't feel like the characters were overly developed, which is why I only gave 4 stars. But overall, a good read that kept me entertained!

It started out okay, I liked the idea of two alphas together, against the norm but the omega stereotypes quickly killed this for me. They weren't the good stereotypes either, instead they were super corny and had me rolling my eyes.

super cute (ignore the cover)

A great palate cleanser! Short, sweet, and the right amount of smutty. Very cute characters, I liked the plot and pacing. Strongly recommend for something that’s just lovely!

Socially awkward omega is painfully unsympathetic and judgmental, could not get into the backstory enough to let the alphas take over.

As much as I wanted to like this, I felt like Charlie was too much of a third string. The story focused so much more on Luca and Gavin's relationship.

Omega in the Middle (Arc) was graciously provided to me by the author for an honest review. I have voluntarily read this book and have provided my honest opinion.

"A Heart-Warming, Hopeful, and Addicting Read"

SQUEEE!  OMG!  I am floating on air!  I feel like I have this permanent smile on my face that has me all squishy-feeling as a result of my most recent read which I loooooved.  This book has so many adorable, heart-warming, beautiful, heat-filled, giggle-worthy, angsty moments that had me glowing from the very first page.  I could not get enough of this book from a predictably great new series!

Omega in the Middle, by Braylon Black, was an absolutely wonderful read with an excellent storyline, fabulous characters, and, a great plot.  Wow..this story was one of those that I melted right into as it contained so many things, and more, that makes a great read from this particular genre.  Strong, dedicated, and, unbelievably adorable omegas, hard-working, sexy, loving and protective alphas, and, a deeply moving emotional plot were just some of the aspects of this story that had me glued to my kindle as I read.

Omega in the Middle is a somewhat different type of read from the Mpreg genre but no less addicting.  It follows the journey of Charlie, Gavin, and, Luca as they discover through many surprising, emotional, and incredible moments, they are right where they are supposed to be, and for this, embrace these varied moments of clarity as they continue down such a wonderfully golden walkway of love, dedication, and, gratitude.  Gah..I am so sugary tickled pink to have read this story and don't think I have been in need to squeeze-hug characters as much as I had through this read.  So..gah..yes please!

My ultimate literary weakness consists of books containing alphas, omegas, and a deeply satisfying and realistic storyline.  As there are so many things that I liked about this story, I have found exactly that.  I simply adored the characters, its storyline of strengthened goodness, and its angsty hopeful moments as well.

As this was, clearly, a great story, there were also moments, including a possible trigger moment, that had me scratching my head out of confusion, and for this, found there to be a need for another round through the editing process as these parts do not seem to be as smooth as the rest.  In addition, without sounding greedy..I need more of this story!  There was so much there already and I still needed more depth and development and actually needed to read what had been skipped over during the time jumps as they were important parts of the storyline.

All in all, Omega in the Middle, by Braylon Black was such an enjoyable read and will definitely be re-read sometime in the near future as the characters were just stellar, and the storyline was one in which had me in an almost constant state of puddled goo all warmly glowing all dreamy Luxen-like as it contained that perfect combination of addicting characters and gripping storyline that will have me coming back for more for not only this author but also for this series as I really had liked this read..:)

Great start to a new series. Charlie is a cute, bumbling omega nerd. He's apartment hunting because his collage dorm is becoming a hindrance to his studying. He's very straight-laced and really doesn't socialize outside of the classroom. He's on a mission to graduate and be independent. He finds a great place. The only problem is that his roommates are two sexy alphas. Oh, well. What could go wrong? Basically everything. Luca and Gavin have been friends since childhood and in love with each other since their teens. They've always dreamed of adding a third to their relationship. Charlie seems like the perfect fit. Gavin and Luca have problems because Gavin's childhood home has been repossessed and they're killing themselves trying to buy it back. Charlie brings in excitement and the chance to relax. They suffer some unexpected setbacks, which only seem dire at the moment. A sudden stroke of luck brings a chance at true happiness. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

Omega in the Middle is a fun, hot menage romance by Braylon Black.

When Charlie moves into a new apartment, he never expects to find love. Gavin and Luca are best friends who are hiding their real relationship. As two alphas, they aren't able to let people know that they love each other. And I must say that Damn, the two alphas are hot together! How can they not be? Two sexy, intense, and aggressive alphas. Oh hell yes!

I was immediately intrigued by this roommate romance. The tone was great and the characters were interesting. The secret romance between the two alphas is phenomenal.

One fantastic scene is when Charlie shows up at the apartment unexpectedly.

As the book continued however, I found myself a little disappointed. There's nothing that I didn't like, I was just hoping for more; more emotion, angst, and/or depth.

Overall, Omega in the Middle is a fun and sweet romance.

They are so cute. The plotline flows smoothly as the characters are able to get to know one another (at a relatively fast pace, though it doesn't feel like that to the reader) and fall in love over bonding through their actual problems. Both alphas are so sweet and the omega is such a darling (even though I feel he has some questionable choices). Such a fluff and loving story with actual feeling involved.

Omega in the Middle is the first book in a new series called Triple Heat by Braylon Black. It is a sweet, fun and sexy MMM romance with an mpreg involved. Charlie is an omega virgin who has plans of leaving a mark on the world, not let an Alpha and babies keep him down, then fate throws two Alphas into his path when he becomes roommates with the incredible steamy Gavin and Luca... then the fun begins and the surprises start popping up.

I really enjoyed this story. It was funny, sweet, light with little angst and definitely had some heat between these three characters. The characters are fun and likeable. Definitely a story worth reading and makes me want more books in this series.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Two for the price of one! Charlie, Omega needing peace and quiet to concentrate on his studies, rents a room with what he thought was one Alpha, and turns into 2, Gavin and Luca. He hears them having relations and thinks he's safe. Until he realizes he's attracted to both. Gavin and Luca working to purchase Gavin's childhoom home which was repossessed. Charlie offers to contribute the first day before he even knows the guys. There is mutual attraction al around unrealized at first but simmering! What could go wrong? Will the trio be able to save Gavin's home? Will Charlie join and cement the triad? Will Charlie graduate? This is a sweet fun, sexy story. All the characters are absolutely likeable. The race/drama of saving the home, studying, overworking all add to a great story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Charlie need a quieter place to to live so he becomes a housemate to two sexy alpha males.
Omega Charlie Cox finds it impossible to study with all the noise and activity in the dorms so he searches for other accommodation and finding an advert for a third roommate he applies. The two others are Luca Burnett and Gavin Grey both sexy alpha males who Charlie is attracted to. Charlie tries to keep himself under control but his friend Kim is putting ideas into his head. Then he makes the mistake of snuggling up with Luca and Gavin on the couch to watch TV and things get out of hand. An exciting MMM MPreg romance to relax and enjoy.
