Matilda is a Texas girl in love with a Philly boy who loves to write dirty books about two people who trip into love and fumble their way into a Filthy, Funny, Happily Ever After.

I live in Austin, with my husband, two crazy Chihuahuas and an even crazier cat. And I spend most of my day writing dirty romance books about older men who fall in love with younger women and make fools of themselves trying to win their hearts.

If you love Dark Romance, you’ve come to the wrong place. I don’t like dark heroes.

I like my hero to be successful, sweet, suave, sophisticated and kind--- and then I want him to lose all his composure and game when he meets the heroine. I want him to turn into a bumbling idiot when he spots the girl of his dreams and revert to a teenage boy in a man’s body trying to win her.

I like my heroines to be witty, intelligent, and unshakeable---who could do just as well without a man—until the hero convinces her otherwise.

I write A LOT OF AGE GAP--because I LOVE AGE GAP ROMANCE. I’ve got no other excuse for it.

No matter what kind of story it is, my ladies are ADORED, and my endings are always Happily EVER AFTER, not HFN.

If you are looking for a sweet, completely over-the-top, quick, easy read that has some delicious heat, look no further. Holy cow! Marek loses his mind after his encounter with Aria. Sanity is a razor thin wire he walks on. But when they are together... music is created. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The Maestro finds his missing muse but then keeps losing her

Well Marek Misiak is definitely a Maestro in more ways than one. He is the conductor of the New Your Philharmonic along with a wonderful piano and violin player and composer. But what he is really a Maestro of is to come in this story.........playing young musical prodigy Aria Romero's body.
Aria's parents, Anna and Edgar, with both very accomplished musicians who played in orchestras. That is until Aria's mother was killed by a driver while her parents were rushing home to be with her for her fourth birthday. Her father did not handle the lose of his beloved Anna well so Aria was taken in by her mother's younger sister, Isabel, and he walked away from his beloved music, his beautiful daughter and threw himself into running his family's company. Aria has a musical talent that her father did not want her to pursue so he would not pay for music lessons or allow her to go to a music school. But her aunt Isabel, who is Mexican and more than a bit crazy, recognized and nurtured her talent paying for her to have lessons with a variety of very talented people.
Marek and Aria cross paths at a fund raising event, the Charity Music Gala at Columbia University in NYC where he has to schmooze donors, and one Edgar Romero in particular, since Edgar is in town to visit his daughter and talk about his funding for the next year. Marek is trying to evade one more over zealous and inane socialite and knocks a young woman just about over. She goes to leave the event with Marek asking what her name is but she only smiles at him and does not tell him saying she in no one important and then disappears. When Marek is finally able to leave he is intrigued when he sees a light on in the music hall and feels a pull to go and investigate, as he has fond memories of when he was a student at the music school and using the hall late into the night. What he finds is he beautiful little angel playing the most beautiful music on a cello. He gets a violin and they play together in the most perfect harmony. But again she runs only telling him her name is Aria. Will he be able to find Aria in the all of NYC? It does not look like he will but by chance he is given a clue and soon discovers she is the daughter of Edgar. It turns out he knew and played with both Edgar and Anna and first met Aria when she was six months old...............does that make him a dirty old man? Even if they are soulmates and she is his muse?

This is a lovely older man/younger woman romance story about two people who share a passion for the same thing. But she is about to repress hers in order to fulfill what her father has deemed to be her future, working with him in the family businesses, and he has lost his muse until they meet. Once they come together they will make an unstoppable duo making the most wonderful music in more ways than one for the rest of their lives. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to other readers.

Aria has secretly been studying music behind her father's back. Once he lost her mother her dad couldn't bare to perform his music. He also didn't want their daughter to have a career in music. So when he leaves her with her aunt to be raised she gets the music lessons without her father knowing about them. She meets Marek at a Gala and they immediately connect. When he hears her play for the first time he is amazed by her. However she leaves before he can find out her information to be able to contact her again. He later learns who she is while talking to her father and at first he is sadden because he knew her as a baby. Yet he knows that he can't stay away from her and he helps her into the start of her musical career with him right by her side. Will her father come between them? Can they get their happy ending?

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This short tale shows exactly why I love Matilda Martel books. Aria is the child of two amazing musicians and shares their abilities. Sadly, she must keep her talent a secret. After the passing of her cellist mother, her father has all but given up on the healing power of music. Aria meets Maestro Marek at a Gala and he feels drawn to her. It doesn't take long for his muse to inspire his work. This was an phenomenal story of love and inspiration.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Marek and Aria. She's the daughter of two great cello players. When her mother dies her father refuses to play again, and Aria moves in with her aunt. Her aunt encouraged her to play all instruments. Marek is a maestro. When he's forced to go to a gala he stumbles across Aria and hears her play. But when he realizes who she is he freaks. Great HEA with lots of music.

Emotionally gripping. Super steamy.

I was blown away by this short story, filled with so much intensity and passion for being so short. This isn’t your usual younger woman/older story—it’s emotionally gripping as world renowned musician Marek Misiak finds the love of his life, his muse and his soulmate in young Aria.

When he hears her play he knows that she is meant for him and him alone. But when she runs away, will he be able to find her in a city full of people?

Where do I even begin?

Short stories never usually call to me but this once caught my eye immediately. The story was beautifully told, it was like I could see and hear the symphony of music flow from the pages. The storytelling was just immaculate and I absolutely loved it! There was so much that happened in such a little time but that definitely wasn't a negative in this story. I loved the pace and I just really enjoyed this beautiful story!

Short and so sweet

I really liked this book. While the timeline of their love affair was obviously not realistic, the story was so good that it compensated easily. I really liked that Edgar came around and the ending was adorable.

A musical passionate romance. The book is a very well-told somewhat short story of an irrepressible love between an older man and a young girl. He is a world-famous musician, composer, conductor and she is a musical prodigy whom he finds utterly compelling, a muse for him and the one that completes his soul and desires for perfection. His longing for her is superbly voiced and it was interesting to see a grown man brought to his knees by a naïve, unpretentious young woman. The style of the writing is of high quality, matching the artistic vocabulary and storyline. Brilliant editing enhanced the experience. The characters and scenes were very well developed and described without undue repetition. The book is quite sexy with appropriate language but without the vulgarity. There is a lovely HEA, making this a feel-good book set in the world of classical music, which I can but recommend to all.
