He’s a football god.
She’s the daughter of a Texas senator.
Their chemistry is like oil and water.

My name is Ryker James. I hate when people tell me what to do. I’m cocky, ornery, and I take things when I want them. Caring isn’t in my vocabulary unless it’s related to football or my family, and I just lost my entire family in a blink of an eye.

Now all I have is football. The problem is the misery, the drinking, and the parties have more appeal to me. But Lakemont University wants that championship. Fans want to see wins on the scoreboard, and my teammates salivate to crush our opponents every game. Yet the only pass I might be throwing is at the auburn-haired girl who waltzes into my life.

She’s fire. I’m ice. A combination that doesn’t work.

So let the games begin.

My name is Haven Hale, and I’ve been tucked away in a boarding school most of my life. Now I’m a big-time college girl, and all I see is freedom in front of me. But first, I have to agree to my father’s demands—no media attention and no sororities. If I can follow those two edicts, then college life should be a breeze.

Until one close encounter with Ryker James, and Father Dearest has changed the game. Stay away from the big, bad quarterback, or face my father’s wrath. There’s only one problem. I can’t help who I’m attracted to.

And Ryker James is a magnet, built to attract any female, constructed to make any girl’s heart sputter, and my heart is beating off the charts.

But it’s time to choose between the devil I know and the one I don’t.

Ryker and Haven

I loved this book. It took me a few days to get into it. I think life got in the way. But once I started this I couldn't put it down. I loved the sexy Ryker the sexy football player and his friends. Then there is Haven the senators daughter. When tragedy hits Ryker he turns to liquor and women. But one look at Haven things might change.

This is a sassy, sexy story with great characters and story makes this a page turner, that will give many hours of pleasure. When Ryker and Haven are together, sparks fly and their chemistry is through the roof. Both of the characters will support each other and come out stronger in the end. I honestly volunteered to review this story.

This is hands down one of my favorite books by Susan! Ryker is the perfect broken bad boy hiding a heart of gold behind an asshole exterior. Haven is a feisty heroine struggling to do the right thing by her dad whilst not losing her own identity. I loved the push and pull nature of their romance and the chemistry was electric - it scorched the pages of my kindle! Now, I'm hoping we get a book for Lucas and Vi because I'm more than intrigued by this pairing! Absolutely loved and can highly recommend.

Ryker's lost everything except football. Then he meets Haven and she brings him to his knees. But, he's forbidden to her, off-limits, thanks to her politician father's dictates. Can they make a relationship work when they're not even supposed to be around each other? Can they navigate the pitfalls of a forbidden love?

Unforgettable is fabulous! Ryker and Haven have chemistry for days and the way they fight for their relationship, for each other made for some seriously awesome reading. I have a sort of love hate relationship with New Adult fiction, but thankfully Unforgettable elicited nothing but love because it's sexy, it's got layers and layers of emotion all leading to a super satisfying ending. I will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author!

I was really anxious for the release of this particular book. I was drawn to the mix of football and politics. It didn't take long before I knew this one wasn't going to be what I expected. I needed a road map to follow as it darted in all directions without much at the end of every road. The characters didn't even grab my attention. The entire book lacked depth and the plot was just a hole with nothing of much stamina to fill it -- just a scrambled mess. Some events didn't even feel realistic or completed. The whole thing collapsed and left me void of any real feelings other than concerning Ryker's loss of family. My heart did feel a punch for his character at that event. And "baby doll's" character didn't jive with how she was represented. Lastly, I thought the whole Senator/campaign mystery was weak.

From cover to cover, this one didn't do a thing for me. I didn't care one way or the other how it all wrapped up. I can see from the early reviews that I'm most likely going to be in the minority.

‘You’re one of a kind. You are the brightest star in the darkest night.’

Unforgettable by S.B. Alexander is our first book by this author. A hot and steamy college sports romance with real heart. An entertaining storyline and characters you hate to love and love to hate. It was quite the crazy wild ride. We really enjoyed this angsty romance which had a real sombre undertone and will definitely be picking up more books by this author.

‘I had never been a good little boy. But when it came to football, I was the perfect player. I was the one spurring my team on. I was the one who played like my life depended on it. But that was before I lost everything. Now my world had changed. I was in shock and denial – the first stage of grief.’

Ryker is the typical bad boy football player who all the girls want to claim as their own. His reputation precedes him in every way that counts. However, his life is spiralling out of control after a devastating tragedy leaves him pretty much alone in the world. Our hearts broke for him and what he had to face. When Ryker meets Haven everything changes, a redheaded stranger who is everything he doesn’t want or need but whose connection to him and his family is more than he can avoid. In fact, his first thoughts are about revenge and not at all about falling in love. Sometimes though, we come across a person in our path who changes everything…

‘Maybe my father had a good point about me staying away from Ryker. Because in a freaky kind of way, the quarterback reminded me of my father – bold, aggressive, possessive, and an ass. All those qualities told me Ryker wasn’t the right guy. Yet there was one major difference – Ryker had a heart.’

Haven is reluctantly smitten by Ryker. Not only is she warned off him by her father - the senator, but also they’re two completely opposite sides of the coin. This hesitation doesn’t last long as Haven sees beneath the playboy façade, to a heart that’s broken and in desperate need of healing. Are they friends? Friends with benefits or two people falling into that special everlasting love? Well, for us there was definitely a connection from the get-go albeit it was quite superficial at first.

Unforgettable is chock-a-block with stereotypical college behaviour, an almost juvenile banter, and crass humour, however, fortunately, it also had beautiful moments of heart-breaking emotions, loyal friendships, and wonderful compassion and intrigue. This was definitely a great place to meet this Author!

‘Tears careened down my face. “You’re changing me.”
She kissed away every one of my tears. “I got you, big guy. Whatever you need.
‘I needed a friend, but she was turning into so much more.’

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.

Ryker was a typical football player he liked the booze, parties and girls. But Ryker was going through something that no one should ever have to go through. As he went through the emotions, the reader felt them - I just wanted to give him a hug. Luckily he had Haven - the girl who knocked his world off its axes. They were great together - she helped him and in turn he helped her. Loved all the supporting characters (except the Sims) they were all there for each other. I hope we get their books in the future - especially Lucas and VIcki.

This was my first from this author and she definitely struck a chord from the beginning. The story starts out steamy and crazy from the beginning. The rest of the story was the same - steamy, dramatic, and surprising. Our hero Ryker was definitely a playboy but he had a whole other side that you'll fall in love with. And our heroine, Haven was likeable, feisty, and fantastic for Ryker. Overall a really enjoyable read.

This is a wonderful read, I LOVED it...and another new author to me S.B Alexander really impressed me. Ryker and Haven's story is an emotional one, they are opposites and shouldn't be together. A football player and the senators daughter shouldn't work, but they do. Ryker is dealing with a lot, a tragedy has hit him hard and he is not coping well by partying and drinking too much. He is behaving like a stereotypical jock. Haven has been sheltered for most of her life and finally she is set free to go to college and experience the freedom she deserves. This is were she catches the eye of Ryker and there is a lot of chemistry, they both have their own issues and are just drawn to each other. The support they give each other is amazing and they help each other with the things they are going through. Haven is having relationship problems with her father and his controlling behavior, and dating Ryker would be forbidden. Ryker's character grew so much in this book with Haven in his corner he can conquer anything. They face so many obstacles together and it's inspiring. The emotions in this book wrecked me and was so unexpected. It made me cry and I felt the pain that they are going through. S.B Alexander's writing is incredible the characters and side characters are so well thought out and the plot is entertaining. Everyone who loves sports romance will devour this book, I relished it. Loved it. 5 Stars- Cat W.

This author constantly surprises me with her books! This is definitely a favorite for me!! I love those guys who are prickly on the outside, but once the right girl gets past that, he’s full of feelings and emotion!!

Ryker is exactly that kind of guy!! When he meets Haven, he thinks she is beautiful and he’s drawn to her, but he feels they’re not right for each other. “She’s fire. I’m ice. A combination that doesn’t work.” But there is more in the way of them being together than he realizes!

Haven has had a lonely upbringing since her mother died. She has been tucked away in boarding schools and longed for a relationship with her father. Now she’s at college and has more freedom than she’s ever had. When she meets Ryker she thinks he’s gorgeous, but she also thinks he’s a total jerk!

The characters were awesome!!! Including the side characters!! I loved the romance! *swoon* I was so wrapped up in this couple!! The emotion had me bawling my eyes out, and I did what I could to keep my kindle dry. This is such a wonderful love story, and more! You don’t want to miss it!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Honestly I don’t know where to start... this book was amazingly emotional and I loved every minute of it! Haven and Ryker are both very strong individuals and are perfect for each other!
♦️
Being the senator’s daughter puts not only a lot of pressure but also loads of attention on Haven. College is the first real opportunity for Haven to branch out and try to be her own person since she went to boarding schools. Haven has known her own loss with her mom dying when she was young, which seems to have made her a stronger person.
♦️
Throughout the book Ryker is going through what no one should have to go through, which is the sudden loss of his mom, dad, younger brother, and sister. (I bawled my eyes out multiple times throughout the book)
♦️
Haven and Ryker meet the week after his family die and from there you can tell Haven will be good for him and help him through this difficult time. Little do they know the trouble that is ahead and the people that will try and keep them apart.
♦️

S.B Alexander writes the best books and Unforgettable is no exception. From the beginning the books grabs you and takes you through a heartbreaking and maddening tale.

Ryker James has so much tragedy and heartbreak surrounding him. A heartbreak that he finds hard to deal with. Haven Hale has her own issues with her senator father trying to run her life and tell her who she can or can't date. The there are the Simses who are just a whole other nightmare in this book. They kind of give this book an ick factor. Or at least that's what they did for me. They show what a disparate person is capable of.

I loved all the characters in this book and the story was beautifully told. I am very glad S.B. gave Haven a backbone because so often authors make characters like her where they do everything their parents ask them without any questions and I can't stand those characters.

I do hope this will become a series with Lucas, Erik, Vincent, Ajax and even Vicki get a story.

Unforgettable by S. B. Alexander was breathtaking. I loved every minute of this book. Susan takes you on one emotional journey through loss. Love and self discovery.

Ryker is a football quarterback at the University
He lost his entire family all in one day and isnt coping very well with the loss.
He meets this girl and won't stop till he as her.

Haven is only now attending university after her father who is the texas senator hide her away at a boarding school. She meets ryker at a party and he is drink.
The twist and turns in this book was amazing.
This was Susan best yet.
I highly recommend this book you won't be disappointed.

I am completely wrecked! This book was phenomenal! I went through all the emotions with these characters. I cried my eyes out and laughed till it hurt. I definitely have a book hangover after finishing this story. The characters are so realistic, it just sucks you into the story and you can't put it down. I would definitely read a follow up of the characters we've come to love from this book. Amazing work and dare I say, Ryker and Haven are right up there with the Maxwells and their leading ladies!

Fantastic read! Superbly written! This book is ‘Unforgettable’!

S.B. Alexander has just given me my latest book hangover...so much so I read the book twice.

The chemistry between the Ryker and Haven is perfect. The push and pull these two have leaves you rooting for them and begging for more. They connect on a level most people don’t. They grow individually and together.

‘Unforgettable’ had me crying, laughing, and falling in love from the start.

I don’t like reviews with spoilers so all I will say is you MUST read this book. Definitely 5 star worthy.

S.B. Alexander has done it again. The story of Ryker and Haven has everything the reader needed and left us wanting more. This highly emotional tale surrounds two characters that should never have been together but find it in themselves to support the other through their own burdens while at the same time finding strength from within to survive and find love. There were parts of the book that had me laughing out loud and others that wrecked me so much I needed to put the book down. Absolutely loved it!!

I recieved an advanced copy of this book for an honest review and I have no issues saying I love this book.
I laughed, I cried and in the end I couldn't be happier with how everything came together.
Susan is so good at making her characters relatable and easy to fall in love with. You feel their highs and their lows right along with them.
If you know her work you know you have to read this book. If you're looking for a fan of sports roamnaces that have heart then this book is for you

What an amazing book. So much real life problems to relate to. It shows how grief can consume you if you let it or it can push you to move forward. Ryker was a huge influence to the university until his grief caused him to give up. In comes Haven, she’s dealing with her own demons and crazy life, but she sees something in Ryker. Together they accomplish so much and overcome the obstacles life throws them! I absolutely love and recommend this book!!

Overall I liked this book. I will admit it was hard to get into at first. His friends drove me nuts. He lost his family in plane crash and all his buddies could do was tell him to get laid. Thankfully he meets Haven and things start to look up. He has an easier time talking to her. It just sucked that her dad was strict all the time. I was glad to see that he finally came around in end and that he was okay with them being together.

Definitely Unforgettable! Another great story written by S.B. Alexander. The chemistry between Ryker and Haven is perfect and felt from beginning to end, love these two. I couldn't put it down once I started and didn't want it to end. I can't wait for more, hope to see something for some of the others in the book as well.
