I'm gonna start with all the good stuff... and then add the things that made me drop one star on this book. The author has done his usual excellent job with the writing of this book... reading his work is so easy and such a joy. The two MCs are well-developed, many-layered and more than likeable, I particularly loved Reid and getting inside his head. The story itself is engaging and interesting with the secondary characters used well. Ok... now to my issues with the book. Theo is described as a MVP winning quarterback in the NFL. Now when the possibility of a sex tape is brought up 1) Theo does not take it very seriously, 2) when he does look into a tiny bit it he claims he found nothing. I find this response hard to believe. The second thing is the way the first half of the book is laid out. I kinda felt like a ping pong ball as we would alternate between spa treatments and sex, again and again. Not saying the sex wasn't beyond hot... it was. Just felt like with his sex/spa alternation it limited the actual relationship growth at first. By the end of the book I was on board 100%, but felt like I needed to drop a star since it wasn't perfection!

I did a little cardio, mostly swimming, but the majority of my calories were burned in the hot sun or in the tranquil quiet of a studio. I loved pushing my body to the limits and holding it there, strung taut and would tight as a violin string.’

This adventure is a winner – plenty of real life reflections and a very hefty dose of erotica, making this book one fine summer’s entertainment. Recommended.

The Island Resort series follows three brothers as they run a luxury resort. This book is a great follow up to Nate and Brooks story, and this time it's Reid's turn to get his HEA. Reid is the gorgeous and sassy spa director who knows exactly what he wants. Shocked at first when the star quarterback they're hosting, Theo, tells him he is bi (Reid's gaydar hasn't been wrong before!) both guys are quick to give in to the obvious attraction between them.
Just like book one, The Deep End is packed with smoking hot chemistry and playful banter between the MCs, all swept up in a wave of hilarity that ensues at the resort. This time, it involves a rivalry with another resort, and a couple of mysteries involving a certain adult toy and scandalous tapes. i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Island Resort series. In this book, Theo and his fellow football teammates are at the resort to celebrate winning the Super Bowl. Theo is the quarterback and a VIP guest. When Theo meets Reid, he is instantly attracted to him, but Reid thinks he is straight. theo is bi-sexual and enjoys talking to Reid. When Theo tells Reid he is interested in him, Reid is surprised, but very happy. They begin spending time together and Reid treats Theo to all of the spa's treatments, and they get to know each other even more, growing closer and closer. Add in a surprise in Theo's room, a buried treasure and a mysterious sex tape, and Theo and Reid have funny problems to solve. I loved this book! i laughed and thought it was great to see some characters from the first book. There was an amazing connection between Theo and Reid and they were so good together. i love how they could laugh and joke with each other and then be so tender and loving. Another great book from Jason.

This was such a fun read! I definitely enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited about Reid's story and I think Jason Collins totally delivered! I adored Reid and Theo and their punny relationship from start to finish!

This book had me cracking up, between the fantastic banter between these two, the hilarious vibrating sex toy and the adventures these two find themselves on, it was just great. I really enjoyed that this story delivers the lighter side of falling in love, no angst needed. I definitely recommend this when you just need a feel good story, with great passion and laughter. A winner for me!

I read Perfect Fit (Island Resort #1) when it first came out, and it wasn’t my favorite. With The Deep End (Island Resort #2), I had more of an idea what I was getting into - prepared for the fun, goofy at times, over the top style of the story, and I enjoyed it more for that reason. Theo is the QB of a team that just won the super bowl (though the story takes place in the summer, so the NFL season timeline in this universe must be different than the one I’m familiar with), and he ends up seeing spa director Reid on his first day in paradise when another spa employee calls out unexpectedly. It’s a sweet coupling, with plenty of hot scenes throughout. Hope August gets his HEA sometime... maybe he’ll discover he has more than just a professional rivalry with the owner of the Kingsworth resort after all?!

I love this series. The 2nd book in the Island Resort series gives us Reid’s story as he fills in for one of his sick employees as a type of personal trainer for a VIP by the name of Theo. And Theo is not just any VIP but the QB of the Super Bowl champs. It’s a job Reid gives his ALL to, lol. Wowza. This storybook romance has all the bells and whistles of a great time of fun in the island sun. There’s hijinks involved when a mystery ‘Package’ is found under Theo’s mattress in his luxury suite and a mystery of a scandalous tape that could cause trouble if it gets out in the public domain. Whoa nelly! I had a blast reading this delightful book as I chuckled my through to the last page while fanning myself from all the heat. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I love the series and the brothers are too funny at times. I liked Reid and Theo. They had personalities that fed off each other. The jokes and innuendo were great. I loved the mystery of The Package. I would have been tickled if there was a bit of closure to that one little item. I thought I was gonna laugh my tail off when Theo pointed out the shape of the island and Reid had no idea. I was also pleased and excited that they used Goldenrod studios for help with the other mystery. I really liked Reid and Theo, but I liked Nate and Brooks story even more. I do love the way Jason Collins writes. I feel his characters are more true to life than some others I've read. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Fun, steamy romance set on a beautiful tropical island. What a way for their first day which goes from ogling on the beach, a steamy massage and a sexy dance. These guys find chemistry and so much more. I really enjoyed both of the MC's and loved how they fit together in this island paradise.
Reid and Theo are creative and resourceful and get to do a little sleuthing. Their journey will make you smile and you will be cheering for them to find their HEA.

This is book two of the Island Resort Series and it can be read as an m/m stand-alone. It is set on a beautiful Caribbean island. Theo is a quarterback and Reid is spa consultant. I don't know why but I kept wanting the quarterback to be named Reid and the spa consultant Theo.???? Anyway, I loved this book and if you like m/m romance you should read this series. As always Jason does a bang-up job with his beautiful descriptions and hot sex.

Theo is just a truly nice guy. I loved the way Reid and he bantered. The way they teased and joked made me smile. It was funny but never mean. Their camaraderie was warm and made me want to be part of it. There is a bit of a mystery and intrigue in the story. The slow-mo 'dildo chase' was a hoot! I'm hoping it’s revealed where it came from in the next book. I really liked how Theo’s football brothers and the guys from Goldenrod team up to help out the guys at the end. The spice level is way up there on this one.

He meets Theo, recent gridiron and Superbowl champ who's at the resort with his teammates for some R&R.
There's some drama/suspense in the form of a certain object left behind and subsequent investigation.
There's also plenty of humor with laugh out loud moments courtesy of sexy flirting and banter.
This book is a perfect beach read.

The Deep End is the second book in the Island Resort series by Jason Collins. Reid and Thei are smoking hot together... love them. There is some suspense/drama, a bit of humor and fun... and a lot of sexy hotness. Great addition to this fun series.

The Deep End, Island Resort two by Jason Collins. Loved the storyline! Fantastic characters! This is a great second book of the series. I don’t know if it’s just me, I kept losing my place all throughout this story having to reread constantly to find my place. I think this happened in the places where the authors writing got a little wordy. Because of this it took me a little longer to read.

A sexy and fun story that is a very enjoyable read. Reid and Theo are great characters and they blend perfectly together. They have incredible chemistry and are a lot of fun together. I like that there is little to no relationship drama in this one. They have a great back and forth banter and the "mystery" really rounds out the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I am loving this series. I love Reid and Theo together! They just made me laugh. Reid being so sassy that I just love him. Jason Collins has made another story that pulls me in and I love the characters so much. I would love to visit this island.

I enjoyed my return to the Island! Beach yoga has never been more appealing ( and I do not like yoga) Reid and Theo’s story is fun’s and flirty with a bit of a mystery thrown in. Looking forward to the next installment

I loved the story of Theo and Reid. They fed perfectly off each other in puns (good and bad). Theo is the perfect caring dominant to Reid’s submissive. A must read comedy love story with plenty of steamy sex.
