I have a type. Tall. Blond. Sarcastic. Awkward as hell.
That’s right, my type is me. Because I’m better off spending my time alone than with a guy.
Which doesn't matter since this month, I’m on an open-ended ticket to LA to find a new boutique for TRAVESTY. Not to find a rebound for the breakup that blew my mind. I’m ready to forget all about dicks.
Too bad Ethan Cameron sinks that dream before I get on the plane.
The SoCal realtor might be my business partner's older brother, but he's the wrong guy to help us out. Ethan's arrogant and self-centred, with a dentist’s wet dream smile and pecs that might have their own hashtag. More girls pass through the backseat of his car than through the doors of our SoHo boutique.
He's also wrong for me. And the more he thinks he knows me, the more I need to prove he doesn't.
But I can’t ignore the fact that I need Ethan's help finding a boutique to put TRAVESTY on the map. And no one knows LA style like Ethan.
I survived private school. Growing up with one parent. Dating a gay guy. I can survive one month with Ethan Cameron.
Piper Lawson is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of smart, steamy romance! She writes about women who follow their dreams (even the scary ones), best friends who know your dirty secrets (and love you anyway), and complex heroes you’ll fall hard for (especially after talking with them). Brains or brawn? She’ll never make you choose. Piper lives in Canada with her tall, dark and brilliant husband. She believes peanut butter is a protein, rose gold is a neutral, and love is ALWAYS the answer.
I'm so happy for Jordan's story, i needed it and God, it was better than i was expecting.... And yep, the Cameron brothers are officially out of the market!!! Thank God that Ava has no other brothers because she would have a big problem!!!! Bahaha.... I love so much Mrs. Lawson stories and this one wasn't an exception!!!! I had such a great time!!!
Well, Jordan is the third member of the "Travesty" business and she was added only the last year.... She is the fixer... The girl who can fix any problem that the girls will face... And now, she is about to leave New York behind for almost a month in order to find a boutique in L.A. for Travesty and it's fortunate that this trip came the moment that she wass recovering from an ugly break up... The only "problem" is that she has to cooperate with Ethan Cameron, Ava's big brother and Jordan is not sure that this is the right thing.... For the job and herself too...
Ethan is a cocky son of a bitch.... He has a huge idea for himself and not without a reason... He is a realtor and he is very good in his job... He is also a great judge of characters and he knows what the others wants before they even know themselves.... Now, his life is so busy and the last thing he needs is to babyshit his sister's little friend...
Their beginning was a little bit awkward especially since the photo that landed on Jordan's phone, before they meet face to face for the first time... Those two couldn't be more different.... They were so opposite characters, but in a strange way they were fitting so good together... They just had to realize it by themselves... Yep, there was attraction there, but hey, there were many reasons for them to stay away from each other... But will they succeed in that task???
I liked very much both Jordan and Ethan... Ethan was like a wet dream for every girl... He seemed swallow and self-absorbed, but he had more depth than that. He had a bad experience and he was taking life less serious but he was very serious about his job and i liked that!!!! [image error] I also like the way he was seeing Jordan... She was something different and he knew how to appreciate that fact!!!!
"I don't know if i'd been trying to fuck my way into her heart or to fuck her out of my head. I wasn't sure if the first had worked. But the second had been an absolute failure."
Jordan was a very lonely and low profile girl. Even though she was working in Travesty, she and fashion were miles apart... But she was very good in her job... She was giving all herself!!! But damn, my heart was breaking for all this solitute that she was having, because she wasn't opening her heart to almost noone, not even Lex and Ava... But with Ethan, Jordan was tranforming in something else... Everything that was her were glowing in his companion and i liked what i saw!!!
"I like how you push me. And make me laugh at myself. And when I'm with you... I feel like I'm enough, just the way I am."
For once again, i enjoyed Mrs. Lawson's writing and I can't wait for her next story.... I'm always having such a lovely time in the company of their heroes!!!

"Styled" was my first full-length book in this series, having only read "Sealed", which is a novella about Dylan and Lex, (by the way, I'm reading "Stripped" right now and loving the hell out of it).
Back to the topic at hand, this book was absolutely entertaining and satisfying. If there's something I love about Lawson's style is her ability to write witty banter that has me snickering with a side of malicious smiling. But this book didn't lack in the heat and heart department (which is what I care the most, at the end of the day).
At first, I was skeptical. I knew I'd like Jordan's character because she's a girl coming from a rich family who decided to leave her own imprint in the world. She's hard-working, level-headed, sassy, yada-yada. I love this kind of heroine. I can relate to this kind of heroine. It's not that she doesn't believe in romance in general, just that she'd rather be real than be swept up in a fantasy. Also, I found extremely relatable how she got behind in her work when she started hanging out with Ethan. Finding a balance between social life and work is a struggle most people have faced and, honestly, who has never put duties on the back burner for a guy, right?
Enter Ethan Cameron. Ava's brother and all-around heart-throb. Panty-dropping everything, toothpaste commercial smile (literally), high profile realtor, kind of preppy... but with a wild side. What can I say? Motorcycles get me going... and apparently I'm not the only one. *wink wink*.
His POVs were my favorite. He’s such a charming, cocky, smart-ass, but I also loved when he got accidentally sweet. Even if he's hopped in many beds since he broke up with his last steady girlfriend, I found interesting how I couldn't label him as a manwhore. It think it was exactly because of this previous girlfriend. Knowing he'd been in a monogamous relationship and that he'd put himself out there with someone to such a degree made him stand out from the never ending line of reformed manwhores, so that it wasn't hard to imagine him having a future with Jordan.
And since the temperature is rising, I'd like to mention my love for the setting. It had a huge role in this book, seeing how Jordan was not familiar with LA and how she was looking for an estate where to open Travesty's new boutique, with Ethan's help. I've gotta say I appreciated immensely how the hot scenes were not set just in the bedroom. It added a forbidden and thrilling feeling to the act, making it original and unique.
Another thing, there was a plot twist which had me gasping and yelling: "Holy Batman! I didn't see that coming." Usually, this thing is something almost flaunted in blurbs or at least stated from the very beginning. Seeing it pop up out of the blue and change the entire scenario of their relationship was a shock, a positive one IMO, because it gave a whole new meaning to what they'd shared.
Only two things didn't exactly make me squeal with joy. They're both situations that make me queasy. First, the fact that they had an expiration date. I don't like reading about relationships which people already know will have to end, and know precisely when. I'm a all or nothing kind of gal. Starting something when it has no possibility of going nowhere is not my style. So seeing them fall for each other and knowing Jordan would have to go back to NY made me nervous.
The second thing is about the quantity of time, or rather the portion of the story in which they are together as a couple. I get it, it's a series, so we'll see more of them (I definitely want a novella about them, no matter when it will come out and how much we'll have to wait), but if there's something I adore is to see the characters get together kind of early in the book and then face relationship-like problems. Still, since a novella is not to rule out given how Dylan and Lex got theirs, I can't say I'm completely bummed with how late Ethan and Jordan became an item.
In conclusion, I'd highly recommend this book. You all know I hate grand gestures because they tend to be impersonal and all a carbon copy of one other, but I loved Ethan's because it was exactly what they needed as a couple. It showed Jordan how much he truly cared about her. It was practical, like she is, but it also meant the world to her. It hit her right in the heart, right where she cared the most.
It comes out on Monday 28th March, so if you are a fan of the series, or want to meet Ethan Cameron, grab your copy and enjoy the ride.
What happens when you’re barely 10% in the book on the morning train and that you have so much FUN that you can’t stop smiling like a goof?
Well you just HAVE to send this message to the author: ” Hi Piper, I'll be quick (on the train) I just wanted to say I'm so sorry we leave far from each other because I'd love to be your friend in "real life". I bet we would have a great time because I LOVE the banter!!!”
Yes that was me reading this book. And every of Piper’s books. I love many things in her stories but above all else I dig her humor! The stories are always playful, light but with a little bit of angst, some twist and wonderful characters.
I follow Travesty’s bunch from the start now and they’ve become my friends. They are all relatable and all have their trademark: Lex serious and dedicated; Ava a little bit crazy and fun, Dylan the hot “in love” nerd, Nate the hot shot and commanding lawyer…
Styled is Jordan’s story. And I was really curious about Jordan as she’s more closed off and we did not get to know her as well as Ava and Lex. She was like an afterthought in the first books. A side character important for Travesty but always a little in the Lex and Ava’s shadows.
I loved Jordan with Ethan. They were just right together.
Ethan has been hurt in the past and is now seen as a manwhore, someone who "flosses his teeth with the thongs of his conquests”. At first glance he seemed a real piece of work and self-centered guy with the pic he mistakenly sent to Jordan.
“In a previous life I must’ve done something right, because my d!ck is my best asset. I like to think it’s best appreciated in 3D, along with the surround sound of a woman moaning. But nobody's going to one-up me on anything sex related. That's like beating the Warriors at home—it just doesn't happen.“
He was “The Playboy” to everyone but I discovered he had much more layers. He was not just a hot bod (think Chris Hemsworth in Thor and yes I can see you drooling now) with a toothpaste commercial smile. He was also smart, loyal and protective. Added bonus: who would not love a guy respecting a girl with a brain?
Jordan is the girl who’s “fixing problems”. Always focused, never wrong and socially awkward sometimes. She’s the girl in jeans and jacket, not the “girly girl”.
“When every adolescent girl had been lining up for her pair, I was in my room drowning my sorrows in Matt Bellamy's vocals. I’ve made my peace with it. Boobs sag. Brains don’t. “
She’s way too uptight and serious at first glance but I adored her sarcasm. The banter was genius! When Ethan meets Jordan, she’s not impressed by this hot male even if he’s picked her interest among other things (she’s a hot blooded female). But the more they spend time together the more they open up to each other. The quick remarks were flying by and I had a hoot. They just clicked together. Ethan helped Jordan to let loose. He had her feel free and alive. Jordan made him realize he craved more in life than he got so far, something deeper and meaningful.
Their relationship and the banter are not the only perks of this book. I loved that Piper always build the story around a project, something close to the character’s heart. I’m now invested in Travesty’s future and I was really happy to read more about the growth of the clothes line. The girls business is developing into something real and I loved reading about all the ups and downs of such business.
So would I recommend this book? Of course if you want something playful, easy to read with relatable characters. You’ll just have a wonderful time reading about Travesty’s crew again!

Jordan is going to LA to work on launching a Travesty store out west! She's been working on the plans for so long, and she's really invested in making this happen for her and her friends, Lex and Ava. She's recently out of a relationship, and LA is the perfect escape even if it is for work!
Ava's brother, Ethan, lives in LA and works as a realtor. He's trying to keep himself on track to be the number one realtor in his area. That means cutting out the meaningless hook ups he's been having as of late. He's going to be helping Jordan look at places they can purchase for their store in LA, which also seems like the perfect distraction since he's going to be avoiding women.
What Jordan and Ethan don't bargain for is their flirty banter or their easy and natural comfort level around each other. Jordan isn't an open book by any means, but with Ethan she is. Ethan isn't looking at all, but with Jordan he may have found gold.
The thing I love most about Piper Lawson's books is that her characters are so easy to enjoy. I'm going to say that there is no cheesy OTT gimmick in this story that would keep you reading, but you so easily fall for Jordan and Ethan that it's impossible to stop. You want to know where these two will end up. Will it be together? Will they succeed on their own with their careers? I love that Piper makes you feel like her characters are your friends, and that you have some sort of investment in their lives!
I really enjoyed the banter as per usual. The naughty bits were very hot and steamy. That bike scene though! (fans self) the writing is fantastic, and the story is very easy to read!
Highly recommend this series, or even just this book as a standalone, to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance with a bit of a romcom feel.

I tried to like this. I really did. Travesty’s a new but established brand, the HEAs for the first 2 couples are going swimmingly and Jordan’s turn in ‘Styled’ is inevitable but welcome. It’s quite smartly written, filled with instances of humour but long dialogues about corporate and real estate business as Jordan and Ethan ham it up. I’d say immediately though, that I’m only lukewarm for the story because I’ve found myself in a classic case of liking a main character way more than the other—which makes this review beyond difficult to tackle.
Sex between Ethan and Jordan, clearly isn’t the issue, even if I cringed because this is essentially a manwhore-with-the-virgin trope. But funny and witty as their banter can be, it was hard to like Ethan though. I found him smarmy, coarse and too self-absorbed about his ability to snag ‘conquests’ and brag about them because they didn’t matter. Or perhaps I’m essentially tired of meeting characters who’ve had their hearts broken and think that it gives them the permission to behave like peacock-strutting arses to women and everyone else after they get the idea that their dicks lead the way. Then deciding to cut back on hookups because it was not only career-impeding but he found the girls too clingy thereafter?
I loved how Jordan called him out on his superficiality and the shallowness of his lifestyle, but I took an even longer time to even warm up to the idea of him than she did. The problem is, I couldn’t see past Ethan being a flake even as I cheered Jordan’s matter-of-fact, practical approach to things despite her privileged background. That he was smugly possessive when he ‘had’ the virgin (and got irritated with her boyfriends because they’d fooled around) seemed like an unacceptable standard to swallow.
This was almost a relief when it was over. Again, I wished I liked this better, but it’s getting harder to bat my eyelashes at this trope and endorse it simply because it gets a reformed manwhore to his knees. That the rake is finally moved to being a one-man-woman because of the virgin’s virtues? That simply isn’t enough for me anymore.
This was a very sweet and quick read but enjoyable nonetheless.
It was the first book I have read from this Author and the 3rd in her Travesty series, however it read well as a standalone, I would like to read the previous ones as the characters apear in this story and are very lovable. Styled tells the story of Jordan, a very independent and hardworking girl and the third wheel in the partnership that makes Travesty ( a fashion store). Ava and Lex were the pioneers into the industry but Jordan embrace the role and is completely dedicated to make it big. It is this desire that makes her travel to L.A. to search a new location for a new shop in order to expand the business. Enters hot and charming realtor, Ethan Cameron, who is Ava's big brother. Although there is some knowledge of who each is to each other this is the first time they will be spending so much time together up close and personal. First impressions between both Jordan and Ethan set the tone to their initial interludes but slowly with time both realise there is more than meets the eye, time spent together allows them both to lower their defences and take a chance on Love. Piper writing flows with an easy an charming style. She makes the reader connect with her characters and is able to deliver both steam and laughter.
ARC received in exchange of an honest review. Jo&Isalovebooks
This is a perfectly awesomely steamy and wonderful contemporary romance. I loved absolutely everything about it! This is one of those "stay up too late, neglect the chores, sneak in a paragraph any spare moment I can create" books.
Jordan was fantastic! So unlike any other romance heroine I can recall, she had enough awkwardness and self-doubt to make her realistic. I loved her sarcasm and sense of humor, as well as her exchanges with Ethan.
And Ethan was freaking hot. A playboy for sure, but boy, once he figured out what he wanted, he did not relent.
I'm not sure if subsequent books will follow, but I sure hope so because I want to know more of Jordan and Ethan's Happy For Now ending!!!!
I loved reading the other characters too, and while I haven't read their stories yet (not necessary to read this book, but you're gonna want to!) I can't wait to get started!
This was my first Piper book, and it will absolutely not be my last. If you like well-written, low-stress, make-you-feel-so-many-emotions-it's-unreal contemporary romances, then you have found your book!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
What a book! What a series! So this book is telling the story of Ethan and Dylan to brothers of the owner Ava. Now let me first say that I did not want to read this series because I am not of fan of books that have different main characters. However, this was a pretty decent series and I'm glad I had the chance to read it. I am not going to get into detail about this particular book because it hasn't come out yet and I have been given the privilege to read ahead! I love the storyline and the characters I felt apart of their lives from book one.
I highly recommend this book for all you Travesty fans well worth the read!
Love him or hate him, Ethan makes his presence known. With all - american good looks and a bad boy attitude, he thrives on attention. For self - contained, semi - neurotic Jordan he's her worst nightmare. Good looks, smart mouth, irritating personality is not her ideal of a perfect match. So why has he gotten under her skin? Styled is one of those books that calls out to you. I couldn't put it down and when I did, I couldn't wait to come back again. Ms. Lawson and her Travesty series can lead to some embarrassing laugh out loud moments, if not careful. Reading this author is a big plus but be prepared for curious stares and furious glares, if you do so in public. I laughed so hard I'm sure I looked like I'd lost my mind. A fast, fun, phenomenal read.

These books just keep getting better. I love the flashes of previous couples and characters throughout each book while I am growing to love the new main couple! Jordan and Ethan were absolute perfection!
I think Jordan may be my favorite FMC of this series so far, mainly just because she is so relatable to me. I love how smart and dedicated she is, confident in her decisions while still getting down on herself sometimes and questioning her decisions. I really love her and Ethan's dynamic because he is so cocky and self-assured and she is not. She is sarcastic and witty and just meshes so well with Ethan and brings out his good side! The conflict wasn't contrived, it felt natural to the storyline and made sense based on everything that we knew about both characters. Overall, I loved this book!
Styled is the first book that I read by Piper Lawson. I loved the writing, the characters, the romance and the friendships- it is a really wonderful, gripping contemporary love story. Ava, Lex and Jordan own their own Fashion Brand and shop in NYC- they are the perfect business partners’ trio. Due to their success, they decide to expand and open their second shop in LA. Jordan goes to LA to find the perfect location. Jordan is a Jersey girl but to make sure that she gets anything she needs in L.A, Ava’s brother –Ethan- has been appointed as her “baby sitter”. Ethan is one of the best realtors of L.A. He enjoys living the L.A life fully and even more, since his break –up with Gia.
“I have three rules. One, I don’t lie to girls. Two, I don't make promises I can't keep. Three, they don't regret it when it ends."
Jordan had a hard childhood after her mom’s passing. Because of that, she shutdown and always had a hard time dealing with personal attachments to people, she never lets anyone get close.
Despite their outward differences, Jordan and Ethan are intensely attracted to each other and have both burned in the past making them a little wary of relationships. Styled had depth and a really wonderful plot and I loved that they each have issues to work through before they could fully make it work together. Jordan and Ethan remained true to themselves throughout the read. Ethan’s Pushed Jordan to her limits and made her feel alive- she did not know how to deal with this wave of emotion. Whereas Jordan made Ethan questioned everything- his lifestyle, his future and his career.
“ I needed to see what he could make me feel, and knowing that I could feel that alive…that was the best gift I’d ever been given.”
Opposites attract yes, but Jordan and Ethan are the perfect match. “And when I’m with you…I feel like I’m enough, just the way I am.”
If you want a romantic, scorching read that has depth to the story and isn't only about the sex, then you'll love this one!
I so agree with the authors "notes" at the end. I never saw these two together and I was like nah this isn't going to work but it so does! You can't help but love them!
Jordan is in LA looking for a location for a new Travesty store. The girls are excited to be expanding. Jordan knows the business side and has been sent to find what the company needs. She is met at the airport by Ethan, older brother of her business partner and friend. He has agreed to pick Jordan up from LAX. Of course he gets sidetracked by a hot woman at the baggage claim. When Jordan calls his name he is shocked to see her. She was not what he expected. In fact he is very surprised to learn who she really is. He didn’t expect his attraction to her either. In fact he didn’t expect her at all. Jordan is there strictly for business to get the new store up and running. She didn’t expect Ethan either. Her attraction is there and their time together is fun, but he is a player and she isn’t sure where she stands. She is only there for a short time. I read the first of this series and I liked it. However this one was a bit of a disappointment. I couldn’t really get into the story. I just couldn’t relate to the characters. Jordan was distant and almost closed off. So was Ethan. It was hard to picture them meshing together as a couple. I couldn’t bring myself to believe there was a chemistry between them. The connection wasn’t there for me. I was sad that I felt this way. I was excited to read the book. I liked the storyline of the series and the possibilities that this book held. Unfortunately I had to keep forcing myself to read it. So personally it was an okay book. I give it a 3 out of 5.
I could not literally put this book down. I received this ARC book for my honest review. This is a lovely love story that you with just fall in love with. This was my first Piper Lawson book that I have read and you can be sure I will be reading more. As l like her style of writing and the characters she creates within her stories. Jordan goes to LA for business for 1 month and gets help from one of her business partner’s brother Ethan. Ethan is a bit of a Ladies man until he spends time with Jordan. As their friendship grows so does the attraction between them grow and it’s full of sexual tension. As I said this was the first book I have read of Piper’s so I have not read the Travesty series, but it is very much a stand-alone book as well. I will be reading the others ASAP.
Loved it! I've loved this series from the beginning. My favorite couple has always been Ava and Nate but Ethan and Jordan are making hard for them to keep that place. I loved them so much together. They were just perfect for each other. Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. Now that I'm done, I'm sad that there isn't more. I need more.

My Thoughts I felt like this book let me down in regards to Ethan. He was a little too much of a playboy and for what. I hated that Jordan was a virgin in comparison him( she was okay with it but I wasn't). He was quite sweet at times and that was nice but quite unkind also. It irritated me that she didn't tell her ex to eff off and that she didn't tell her dad that he was a POS ( despite being fairly close to him)
I liked a lot this book. I started disliking Ethan but ended having a crush on him. Jordan and Ethan story is interesting and fun to read. They couldn’t be more different. They have different points of view regarding life, work, love, friendship and money. However, they will be able to listen to each other and understand each other beliefs and become more than good friends.
Travesty trilogy has become one of my favorite contemporary romance books. What I enjoyed the most in this book is the interaction of characters from the previous books and how their friendship has evolved. Lex, Ava, Dylan and even Nate are great together and dealing with Ethan and Jordan issues.
I loved Dylan and Lex's storie, and Nate's and Ava's one was really good...but let me tell you, there is nothing and I repeat (and yes, I know there is still one book left in the series) nothing better than this two. Tell me about chemistry, friends(not friends) - to lovers, overcoming their personal problems, and growing up.
Through the pages, we get to see them grow as individuals and help each other throughout some important steps on their lifes, personal and professionally. They are so cute! 🥺🥺
This is my first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it because of how Ethan started in the book but slowly Jordan and Ethan blossomed into a love story I could relate it to. I love the sarcasm and banter. I especially appreciated ambition rather than two ppl who had no direction in life. Need minor editing but otherwise enjoyable.
This last book in the series is a great culmination of the Team Travesty group! There’s a little of everyone in the book bun mainly focuses on Jordan and Ethan. While it could read this as a stand alone, I highly recommend you read the whole series in order! You won’t regret it!
Aww Ethan and Jordan what to say. I love the Travesty Girls and am so glad that Jordan found someone to Love her. I love that playboy Ethan was so entranced with his little sister friend that he changed his whole lifestyle for her. Can’t wait to read more in this series xx
I can’t believe that I even hesitated for a second before buying this book!—I only hesitated because I wasn’t that emotionally invested in Jordan or Ethan—but now I sure AF am! Yowzahs!
This book was a great read but I must say that the bonus book, play, Max and Payton story is absolutely a must read. It has scenes that I was Lol and yet is hot. I loved it even more than styled.
