Why do I despise Hawthorne West? Playgirl and Bibs & Babes to name a few.
What self-respecting chef does a centerfold? Or a shirtless interview with his baster?
Just because he won "world’s sexiest chef" three years in a row doesn’t make him a god. Or give him the right to destroy my restaurant with his pompous review.
Now, this sell-out celebrity chef is my co-host on an international cooking competition.
He’s annoyingly alpha with a bad habit of taking off his shirt for the cameras.
Unless I’m using them to shred cheese, I don’t need to see his abs.
He keeps finding new ways to fork me over, like stepping on my lines or popping into my dreams at all the wrong times.
Two can play at that game. I’ve seen the way he leers at me when he thinks I’m not looking, and I’m not above using every advantage I have.
Nothing’s going to stop me from regaining my status as one of the world’s best chefs—all I have to do is survive a trip around the world with Hawthorne West.
Melted is a hot romantic comedy featuring a slow-burn, hate-to-love romance between co-hosts of an international cooking competition. Travel the world and watch as these rivals try to balance their powerful desire for each other with their intense hatred. A true romance between equals, Melted is perfect for those who love fine food, strong heroines, and celebrity chefs.
A chef romance is one of my favourites themes. Melted was a very enjoyable story from enemies to lovers, romantic with funny and sharp lines, the pace was very good, dual pov. Sophia and Hawthorne were strong opinionated characters, independent and their chemistry was fiery, intense and thundering.
Could not put the book down! Sophia and Hawthorne are both strong, independent, and stubborn. Their combined stubbornness creates a slow-burn that can only end in flames. This story is HOT. As they clash together (both physically and mentally), Sophia and Hawthorne are match in every way and are clearly made for each other. The writing is sharp and witty with a perfect pace to keep me completely enthralled. After I finished reading, I wanted to start at the beginning and read it all over again!
As a classic enemy to lovers tale; Melted is a lighthearted romp through the celebrity chef scene. You’ll feel the heat in this kitchen, but you won’t want to leave! Between bold, career driven, and of course gorgeous Sophia and irresistible bad boy Hawthorne, you won’t be able to keep from choosing sides (although I dare you to stick to them). The storyline keeps you on your toes wondering what these two will get into next. Can’t wait for Hadley’s next book!
Read this book after reading Seared. Loved the second book in the series as much as the first! It's a smoking hot enemies-to-lovers romance between two co-hosts of a cooking competition. Great love-hate chemistry that plays out in front of millions of viewers.
