Through the deliverance ministry, soul ties are encountered regularly and their power over individuals' lives needs to be broken. Yes, soul ties are real, but what are they? What is the scriptural basis for understanding soul ties? How are they formed? Are they always demonic? What danger is there in soul ties? How can they be broken?
Frank Hammond was a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with over forty years experience as a pastor and teacher in the Body of Christ. He has authored numerous books, DVDs and compact discs on spiritual warfare and family relationships, with translations in several languages. He is probably best known for his book Pigs In The Parlor. Frank and his wife Ida Mae Hammond were both brought up in solid Christian homes in eastern Texas. Frank and Ida Mae engaged in pastoral ministry for over thirty years. They traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, ministering with a major emphasis in the area of deliverance.
This was a great book for our small group.. Much revelation and breakthroughs were received. Clarity of past behaviors and reasons for the behaviors were received. Eyes were opened to relationships that were thought to be healthy or normal but really were not.
Very insightful; I had not heard of soul ties before coming across this book at a conference. It was very helpful in identifying and describing where certain relationship struggles may have their roots in these type of supernatural ties that can unknowingly form.
There were a few things mentioned in the book that had me thinking such as deeper revelation on being as "one" flesh and when you have fornication with someone that this can cause a demonic fleshly union. It spoke on "lust" versus "love" concept a tad bit.
It also spoke on ungodly ties such as pastor having the congregation and members being tied to that pastor not Christ can be a problem. This is happening a lot in the church, and some leaders are so close to their members that they cannot accept them leaving the church even if they are spiritually bonded--not necessarily spiritual connected to the ONE.
My main complaint is the book is way too short especially for the price I paid.
The book gives in depth insight about soul ties and how we can be freed from them. This book gives practical advice backed by the word if God on how to live a fulfilled and purpose driven life after being delivered from all ungodly soul ties.
