The Bears Bite Back is a humorous and wacky sequel to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and takes up the story where the old classic finished. The three bears are fuming after the ringleted prowler has left their place in disarray. They quickly decide to get their own back by following the intruder's footprints and marching over to her house to eat her food, break her furniture and sleep in her bed! Cillydirella, the second story in the book, is an upbeat version of Cinderella. Suitable for reading age 8 and interest age 8 - 12

Will Gallows and the Snake-Bellied Troll is Derek's debut novel for children although, previously, he has published several educational books. He began writing in 2000 as a new millennium resolution and hasn't looked back. Currently, he has a thriving schools program, storytelling and taking creative writing workshops around local schools. He lives in Northern Ireland with his wife, Elaine, who is Canadian, and has twin daughters, Sarah-Jane and Rebekah.
