The best way to describe this book is that it's generic. It would hit the spot if somebody's looking for a straight forward, no-surprises type of story where things go exactly the way you think they'll go, but I'm not a fan of low effort stories like that.

The only positives were that I liked both Mason and Riece and I liked them as a couple. I also appreciate that this is book 4 in a series and while the author includes references and cameos from the previous books, they were so naturally woven into the story that if I didn't know they were references/cameos (I skimmed the summaries of the other books), I wouldn't have known. Those references/characters perfectly fit into this story and it truly felt like a standalone. I can't remember the last time I came across a series where that was the case and I really loved that. Kudos to the author for that one!

But now onto the negatives.

My first disappointment was with the second chance romance. Mason and Riece had been together during college and they're a perfect example of an opposites-attract couple. Mason is a big, extroverted half white/half Native guy and Riece is a skinny introvert who struggles with social situations. They adored each other and their weaknesses and strengths perfectly matched up, which is why they worked well as a couple. Then Riece's mother convinced him that Mason wouldn't want to be with Riece long term so Riece broke things off without explanation. This history was a solid foundation but the author killed any potential that the second chance romance had by making them get back together within the first few chapters after they reunite 3 years after breaking up. They literally fall into bed together during the first night together, which is a few hours after reuniting. They quickly settle into a generic, overly sappy routine of being a couple and that resulted in the first half of the book being boring. I wish the author had waited much longer for them to get back together because the UST would have injected some much needed excitement into the first half.

The action plotline is the main focus in the second half and I found that boring too, which is surprising considering that the MCs are being hunted by bad guys who literally hunt other humans for sport. There were multiple reasons why it was boring. First - Mason becomes a Gary Stu as soon as this plotline starts and he stays a Gary Stu throughout. Sure, the guy is a Park Ranger so he has plenty of outdoors experience and it made sense that he knows how to counter tracking methods and that he's familiar with the area. But he's also a good hand-to-hand combatant, he always thinks up the perfect plan to stay out of the enemy's clutches and he never breaks a sweat doing any of this. He was way too perfect and I hate such characters because they're boring. Second - due to Mason easily doing all of the heavy lifting in this plotline, Riece was relegated to the background. The guy just follows along behind Mason for the entire second half and rarely does any of his own thinking or doing. These choices resulted in neither MC having any character development, which was disappointing.

The third and last reason the action plotline was boring was because the situation ended up being way easier to deal with than you'd think. The MCs have no trouble getting away from the hunters and staying ahead of them, they easily cover their tracks, when Mason is caught in that net he easily climbs back out and their plan with the truck at the end goes off without any problems. Despite the plotline being wall-to-wall action, the lack of creativity and low difficulty in its execution meant I didn't care and I was bored throughout.

This generic approach is probably what some readers would enjoy if that's what they're in the mood for but it's not my thing. The MCs and the premise presented a lot of opportunity to do more interesting things and it's disappointing that the author didn't do that.

“There is nothing wrong with you, Riece. Yeah, I’ll agree sometimes you see the world in a different way than I do, but that’s not… hell, I don’t even know what."
“Why did you stay with me?”
Mason shook his head and chuckled. “....What I see is someone sweet and funny and smart and caring. I like spending time with you. And, you stayed with me despite the fact I rub most people the wrong way.”

Mason made quite an impression on me during his brief appearance in 'Jewel Cave', so the prospect of getting his story was very appealing. The 'Circles' series is one I've enjoyed immensely for its mystery, intrigue, romance, and action. The fact that Riece is a character who definitely dances to the beat of his own drum was fascinating, so between the two main characters and their unique personalities, I was glued to the pages.

This was an enjoyable, fast-paced and exciting read. Although I felt the book lacked in the romance portion, and there were issues left unresolved/unaddressed, the mystery and suspense portion was well written and was definitely the rock star of the book. The characters were both very likable, and you just had to root for them to get their safe HEA!

I'm not usually a nit picker when I review, but something about the sex that bothered me was that it happens at around 12% in, and I know they were previously together as a couple, but I just thought it happened too fast. As a reader who doesn't know this couple, there was no build up to the sex. No emotion. It was just there. My other problem is they have been apart for a number of years, both confess to not having been with anyone else since they split, but Riece wants no prep?! After YEARS of no sex?! *ouch* This sounds way too painful!

All in all the book flowed well and was an enjoyable read!!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended. In the fourth installment of Circles, we get Mason’s story. Mason, the Park Ranger we met in Jewel Cave is reunited with Riece, the ex who left without warning or explanation three years prior. Despite the abrupt end to the relationship, both men are still very much in love with each other.

Now that Riece is working as a photographer for the US Park Service, he and Mason can have resolution to the break up and decide if the relationship can be salvaged, but only if they can escape the human hunting crazy people that are now after them.

As I said before this is not for the faint of heart, the boon contains strong language which is both homophobic and racially motivated. It is necessary for the plot and is not used gratuitously. One of the main characters (Mason) is 1/2 First Nation and 1/2 French Canadian. The crashing human hunters are less than PC in their interactions with Mason.

This book also introduces Linden and Tyler who you will see in Bait. What I love about this series is the prominent ways in which the author features characters of color. Much like books two and three, this book is about a couple that have a history, so there is no slow burn, because we are walking into their relationship already in progress.

What I loved:
Mason!! I loved his gruff nature and his no nonsense approach to life
Riece!!
Witty dialogue
Characters of color
Touchy subjects (spectrum disorder and racism) met head on and handled tactfully

Suspense of the unimaginable

Book three of the Circles series returns us to the Black Hills and Mason, the ranger that was introduced in Jewel Caves. Mason is reunited with his quirky ex Riece who left him for no reason three years earlier. There is still strong chemistry between the two, and Mason seeks the role of an escort for Riece who has an assignment as an official photographer for the Park Service. The old flames ignite immediately between Mason and Riece, but they are both questioning if it will last.

As they embark upon a hike in the Black Hills for Riece’s photography assignment the unimaginable happens to the two. To survive the challenge, they must truly trust each other and work together because their lives literally depend upon it. The pace of the suspense of the story and the relationship aspect are woven together well. Mason and Riece learn that they are better together than apart, that is if they can survive until tomorrow. Another fine addition to a very good series.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Circles: Book Four

Mason Arquette isn’t one for mincing words. In fact, he often rubs people the wrong way—with the exception of Riece Burrell. Riece came with his own set of social issues, but he saw right through Mason’s tough exterior, and they made a perfect couple. Or so Mason thought… until Riece abruptly ended their relationship without much explanation.

Years later, Mason and Riece are thrown back together. As a US Forestry Service photographer, Riece is sent on assignment to the Black Hills, where Mason works. When Mason is tasked with guiding Riece around the territory, old feelings are quickly rekindled.

But nothing is ever easy. Just as Mason and Riece begin to work things out, they’re targeted by people with motives so vile and twisted they defy imagination. In a desperate race for their lives, they must depend on one another and take a big step out of their personal comfort zones to find their way back to safety—and back to love.

Review:
This is the fourth book in the series that keeps getting better with each book. The plot of this book has us getting reaquainted with Mayson from book 3. He was part of the team that rescued Clint. Now Mason is in charge of guiding his ex, Riece around the Black Hills so Riece can photograph them for the US Forestry Service. As they start to rediscover the feelings they once had, they meet up with a band of hunters that have Riece and Mason in their crosshairs. The chemistry between Riece and Mason is hot protective and fierce. They just get one another. This is another fast paced full of action story in this series. Loved it. Wonderful ending. The character Development was better in this story.

Mason and Riece used to be a thing in college but Riece, afraid that Mason would soon come to hate him for constantly having to deal with his issues, broke it off with little more than a goodbye. Now, years later, Mason is given the task of showing Riece around the local National Forest to photograph the area. The chemistry they had in school is still very much between them, but Mason is gunshy and Riece is not sure that if he is ready to trust the words being told to him. But their trust issues are the least of their problems when a group of hunters corner them in the woods.

It was kinda weird, the way that the first half of this book was kinda super fluffy, lovers-reunited, let’s have awesome sex all over the place…but the second half was more run for your lives in terror. But it was also a very nice story that the juxtaposition didn’t bother me all that much.

I was glad to see that even though this was book four in the series that it worked well without having read the previous three books. There are some references to past events, but everything was in context enough that my lack of familiarity didn’t ruin anything.

One of my favourite parts of this story was Riece. I loved how well written he was. We were not given any technical definitions as to why he reacts the way he does in certain environments, but we really didn’t need that. He was real and incredibly interesting.

I would have liked a bit more explication about what the hell was going on with the hunters, but overall this was an enjoyable story. I might give the next camping trip a miss though.

3.5 stars

4.5 Stars!!

While this is the fourth book in a series, it can be fully enjoyed as a standalone.

Mason Arquette is a mixed-race (white and First Nations!) gay US Forest Service ranger whose territory covers the Black Hills region of South Dakota, his homeland. Years ago he met Riece Burrell at college. Both Riece and Mason have some emotional issues; Mason has a temper and Riece has OCD and crippling social anxiety, but they fit well together in spite of those impediments. They had a satisfactory relationship that ended when Riece left suddenly, with no discussion. As it turned out, Riece's mother counseled her son to leave--making it clear that Mason wouldn't continue to tolerate Riece's tics indefinitely. (Thanks, Mom!!)

So, after three years they are reunited when Riece is assigned to photograph parks in Mason's jurisdiction. Mason surprises him at the airport, and again, when he takes them to a romantic inn en route to their destination. While Riece and Mason have separate rooms, Riece can't take the separation any longer. They seem to get on like a house afire, burning up the sheets anyway....

After getting Riece settled in Custer the ardor ebbs, a bit. Mason wants time to regroup, and be sure he can trust Riece again. They have an extended hike planned so Riece can get images of some of the more remote vistas, and while their reconnection is still going strong, it suddenly gets thrust into overdrive. Encountering some shady characters on the trail has Mason thinking of remote meth labs or poachers, but it's far, far worse.

No, Mason's soon employing all his backwoods tracking skills to keep himself and Riece out of the range of lethal crossbow bolts. Nothing like some psychotic killers to make a scenic trail harrowing, amiright? I really got into this thrill ride, as it truly was something I hadn't expected. Expect bloodshed, mayhem and daring forays. Expect Mason and Riece to fully repair their breach and become better than the couple back in college--excellent sexytimes, yo. Also, expect slurs of all varieties--including homophobic and racial. Just sayin'.

Riece and Mason were together years ago before Riece left without any reason. Now, Riece has taken as assignment in Black Hills as a US Forestry Service photographer and Mason, as Park Ranger, volunteers to be his guide. But when their hiking takes them deep into the forest and into a trap, their leisure time together turns into something so much sinister when they find themselves being hunted by a group of people hellbent on making the chase all the more exciting. Will Mason and Riece be able to get themselves out of danger even though they’re vastly out numbered?

Wow! This novella was something else! I was expecting a little suspense, maybe some action but what I got instead of a suspenseful thriller about two guys forced into the role of prey and running for their life, trying to survive being hunted. I loved that there was so much history behind Mason and Riece but that Mason didn’t let that get in the way of wanting to pick things back up. It was obvious how much Mason adored Riece and his quirks and how Riece still was in love with Mason. I really enjoyed them together and how much trust and faith they had in each other.

My only issue was that it started off with too much sex for me. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the story because of that but around 25% things really started to pick up. I got sucked into the story and just couldn’t put it down!

All in all, this was a phenomenal story in the Circles series. I’m glad we got Mason’s story and it turned out to be such a suspenseful, captivating read. But now I want Tyler’s story! And I hope this won’t be the last we see of Mason and Riece. If you’ve read the Circles series then you’ll definitely enjoy this one!

Four and a half stars!
This book was so good. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time Riece and Mason were running for their lives. I wasn’t sure they were going to make it a few times. They work together really well as a team. I was a little shocked at the circumstances surrounding the reason they were running for their lives (trying so hard not to give it away because it was a bit of a mind blowing moment). I hope there’s no truth behind the fiction there.
The bad guys were really well written. You dislike them just enough where they’re still believable. You also aren’t able to guess what was happening until they spelled it out. I thought the bad guys were after something else at first.
The way Mason cares for Riece and helps him direct his attention when needed was wonderful. He was so gentle with Riece even when they were on the run.
I loved Riece. He’s so adorable and thinks in a completely different way than most everyone else. He showed his love for Mason and willingness to show he was changed after running away before. I was so happy when they told each other they still loved the other.
I love this series and it was nice having the events of one of the previous books mentioned in passing. However you truly don’t have to read any of them to enjoy this one. I hope there will be more in this series in the future.

I am always nervous to read a new to me author, but I was drawn into this book from the start.

Riece is a delightfully awkward character that I love so much for his determination to function in society even though it’s hard for him. Hard to the point of being so overstimulated that he can’t think, yet he keeps trying. I love that he finds his voice at inconvenient and embarrassing times. I giggled out loud at a scene in this book because of this character. I love that he’s honest as well.

Mason talks about being a character that rubs people the wrong way, yet I didn’t see much of that in this book. I did see that he had a sensitive side that apparently Riece brings out. I liked that his character and Riece complimented each other. They seemed to bring out the best qualities in each other. He never stops loving Riece even though he was hurt by him. He is so cautious of being hurt again and that made me hurt for him a little.

This short story was very well written. It was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt like I was running for my life right along with the MC’s. This author knows how to tell a story.

Not only did the author write a compelling mystery, she threw in some super hot sex! All throughout the book.

I didn’t feel like I was missing anything with this book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good short mystery.

Mason and Riece lose each other for a reason unknown to Mason, when Riece leaves with no explanation given. When the reconnection happens years later, after Riece as a photographer, reappears where Mason works as a Park Ranger, Mason knows vhe has never stopped loving Riece and decides to offer to be Riece's guide on his hike. Of course sex is on the agenda but this story was more of a mystery than an erotic romance to me and I really liked that change. The "bad guys" and their reasons for going after the two men gave the gave the story a tine bit of a James Bond feel, in that some of it seemed a bit far fetched but not enough to make me lose interest in the story.
Mason and Riece's reconnection was fraught with struggle and misunderstanding but it was evident that they still loved one another and they struggled through everything going on to try to start over.
I will need to go back and read the other Circles novels so I can get a more complete picture of the dynamics in general, but I don't think not having read the preceding novels hurt my ability to enjoy this one too much.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

"If you go down to the woods today..." dont, coz there may be some totally mad hunters about!
Mason is back, this time catching up with his old college boyfriend Riece. They rekindle their attraction quickly and while Riece is taking pictures for his work, they have a lovely time getting reacquainted.
Then we have the horrors of the capture and hunt - sick people indeed exist. And whilst this section of the book was relatively short, it was intense with times of apparent security which were then ripped away.
Mason proved his skills again, and his restraint because in that situation i'd have expected the kill or be killed response to kick in more.
Lovely then intense, bit of everything in a quick paced read. 3.5*

Sweetness and terror

Mason, the park ranger in the Black Hills had a romance with Reice back in college when it unexpectedly ended when Reice disappeared with no explanation. Mason still loved Reice and gladly picked him up at the airport when he came in to take photos for the park service. The first part of the book is a chance for explaining and reconnecting and is very sweet. The second part is when they are trapped and then terrorised by hunters who actually hunt other humans for sport. These hunters are very good at what they are about but so is Mason. It is a nerve racking, action packed story and you will have to read it to find out how our main characters make out.. This book is well written and exciting. Highly recommended.

A touching story, Mason is a gruff, no nonsense man but he has all the patience in the world when it comes to Riece who is on the Spectrum. Their reunion, after several years apart, is sweet and their immediate responses are gorgeous, things look promising, until all hell breaks loose. On a hiking expedition they end up being hunted, it's a race for their lives, an amazing, intense tale, a wonderful read.

This book was totally enjoyable. I felt my heart racing first through all of the MM scenes, but then it got cranked up to a level not usually seen in MM books and I was completely happy with that discovery. I didn't realize this was part of a series when I started this, but it didn't really seem to matter to me, although now I would definitely love to read the rest in the series. Thumbs up for the author's original thinking. I will be reading more of her work.

I liked Riece and his issues: slightly asocial and no brain-to-mouth filter. The beginning is quite fluffy with Riece and Mason getting reacquainted after 3 years, then there is a kind of scary interlude with crazy hunters. Mason talking to himself literally (not in his head) didn't look that believable.

The following review contains some general spoilers.

Gone Away is the fourth book in Elizabeth Noble’s Circles series and as with the previous book Jewel Cave it’s an entirely new storyline featuring just one previous character Mason Arquette who made a brief appearance in the concluding scenes of Jewel Cave. This technique of using just one minor character from the previous book means that each book of the Circles series can be read as a standalone story.

The early chapters of Gone Away gently introduce us to the main characters Mason Arquette and Riece Burrell who were once lovers, but haven’t seen each other for some years. As they slowly get reacquainted we learn that the way Riece’s brain works and the way he sees the world isn’t what many people consider normal. I’d hazard a guess that he is on autistic spectrum but we are never told that officially, just that his brain works differently and that this ‘disability’ and I use the word loosely is the reason he left Mason previously.

Within days of meeting up again they are thrown into the wilderness and forced to trust each other and fight for their lives as they are hunted by killers. For me this is where the story really got going and became the point at which I couldn’t put the book down. Ms. Noble continues to write suspense really well just as she showed in the previous books in this series; there were plenty of times when I wasn’t at all sure how Mason and Riece were going to get out of the Black Hill alive let alone uninjured.

If you are someone who enjoys an effortless read that’s full of mystery and suspense but is unsure about m/m relationships then these books by Elizabeth Noble could well be perfect for you, since m/m sex plays a very small role in the story. Gone Away in particular is about renewing friendship and trust between two males who have hurt each other in the past. It isn’t about leaping into bed every five minutes just because they love each other. I’m not saying sex doesn’t happen but it isn’t the focus of the story by any means.

In my opinion this is an excellent read, easily living up to the quality of the earlier books in the series. On an aside and having read all the books in this series I get quite a kick out of trying to guess which minor character will become the hero in the next story. Roll on Circles book 5 so I can find out if I’ve got it right.

This is another great action story from Elizabeth Noble. I love the beautiful scenery of the Black Hills and the way Mason and Riece’s gentle expedition turns into a terrifying pursuit.

I’m still not sure this works as a romance. Noble starts to develop Riece and Mason into interesting characters at the start of the story, but when the action starts, character development and the development of Riece and Mason’s relationship is almost forgotten. This leaves readers with many unanswered questions and characters we want to, but don’t quite, believe in.

At the start, Riece has some interesting character quirks. I was trying to decide whether he had OCD or mild Asperger's Syndrome at the point when this became an action-adventure story. Riece’s unique personality pretty much disappears as he struggles to survive. In much the same way, Mason’s dual heritage and his relationship with his father add interest at the start of the story but fade once the adventure starts. Hints are dropped about Mason and Riece’s relationship when they were younger, but a simple apology brings Mason back to Riece’s bed.

Without giving the story away, I really enjoyed this as an action-adventure. Mason is a wonderfully resilient, resourceful action hero. The combined skills he has learned from his First Nations heritage and during Ranger training make him a formidable opponent. Quiet, awkward Riece also has a few skills and after his initial shock, he manages to make himself a useful partner.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Inked Rainbow Reads.

Once again, this book can be read as a standalone. While there is references made to the previous book in the series, it’s not required to fully understand this book in the slightest.

I have to say, Riece is probably one of my favorite characters that I have read this year. I don’t know what it is about me and the smart guys, and the ones with their little “issues” but Riece was just… so sweet. You could tell that he truly cared about Mason and was still bothered by what happened between them.

Mason was equally awesome because he knew what he wanted and was more than willing to do it on Riece’s schedule.

I have to say the trouble that these two get into in this book caught me off guard and I was completely shocked at it all. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give it away, but I’ll say this, Noble wrote the whole thing so well that it wasn’t too super detailed, but it was done just right to where you couldn’t help but be on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next.

Overall, another must read from me, and I can’t wait to find out what Noble comes up with next in this series!

3.5 stars. This was another pretty good suspense/action story from Elizabeth Noble. The technical aspect of her writing is always very good and so is the editing. It reads smoothly and flows well. My only issue is that I never get much connection with the characters. It never feels like there's a lot of depth to them or the relationship.

Riece and Mason had a rather inexplicable break up, at least from Mason's viewpoint. Riece comes to the area where Mason works and Mason is immediately there for him. They jump right into sex before there's any discussion of their breakup. Then that's handled with just a few sentences that give little insight to their emotions. They're two dimensional in many ways. There's several sex scenes that are rather hot but didn't seem passionate. I also felt Riece was shortchanged. He had some sort of autistic or OCD characteristics but they didn't seem consistent All the time and it remained undefined and unexplored.

The action and danger were depicted quite well, including fight scenes. The motivations of the bad guys were a bit far-fetched but the scenarios around them were realistic and logical. No OTT hero action. So it was good and enjoyable, it made me more than just like it but didn't make it to a favorites status.

Wow! What a great switcheroo in this book! The first half is a tender introduction of Mason and Riece and their background as college lovers. They’ve been apart for three years but when Ranger Mason picks up nature photographer Riece at the airport on the way to their joint assignment in the Black Hills both men feel that old zing. Mason takes Riece to a romantic getaway for a night of smexy bliss, but Riece’s old anxiety about OCD and other issues sneek back in.
So, that’s the first half, all sweetness and light. Then BANG! comes the second half, which is run for your life terror. When the men meet a woman and her son on the trail Mason’s law enforcement instincts tell him something is wrong here but he has no cause to investigate further. Suspecting poaching or a meth lab, Mason nevertheless remains somewhat on the alert. But the truth is far, far worse. Get ready to hold onto your chair for this wild ride.
In one novella Elizabeth Nobel shows us she can write sweet romance and gut wrenching panic, and meld the two tropes into one electrifying story. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a new author to me. I really loved the storyline of this book it was more mystery/adventure than romance which made a good change for me. It was probably 90% mystery/adventure and 10% romance or more specifically 5% romance and 5% sex.
I really liked these two Mcs. I loved Reice's quirks and Masons acceptance of them. I liked that Mason could see past the hurt from their history and see Reice as the adult he had become.
I enjoyed the fast paced side of the adventure. It was well written and thought out I could almost picture it happening it like that. I enjoyed the fact that Reice came into him self in this situation and he didn't crumble as he could so easily have done. And Mason was just in his element throughout this book. But he did show his vulnerable side.
I'm thinking that I might have to find the other books in the series or at least the book before where Mason is introduced. Because this is a standalone book.

I received this book free for an honest review.

I was on the edge of my seat through this whole book!

These two men together, I have to say I loved them as a couple and I kept rooting for them through this whole book! There was so much action, suspense and a little bit of steam too.

Mason and Riece broke up but years later they meet up again and the sparks are still there. Mason was so patient with Riece and caring. Riece had his certain ways he does things which normally bugs people but not Mason.

I loved the way this author wrote both of these characters and this story! The run for your life's while growing closer together and admitting to feelings they still have for each other was just awesome. I have to say I am a huge fan of books that have me on the edge of my seat hoping for the best.

So I will leave this review with... I %100 loved this book and would definitely recommend it!

Gone Away by Elizabeth Noble

Because this is book four in a series I was not privy to what came before. This is the story of the romance between Mason Arquette, a mixed race park ranger and Riece Burrell, a photographer. Apparently, Riece had walked out on Mason because Riece's mother thought Riece could only hurt Mason if they stayed together.

Perhaps subconsciously, perhaps on purpose, Riece takes a job where Mason is currently working - The Jewel Cave Mountain National Park and the fourth installment of their relationship adventures ensues.

The book is NOT a stand alone book. If you care for Ms. Noble's work you should read the first three books first. That is not the only thing wrong with this book. Ms. Noble lacks an ability to use the third person point of view appropriately and therefore the story does not flow well. The characters are surreal, the plot is boring,

I do not recommend this book.

People hunting people for sport, Wow! This book is my favorite in the series just edging past "Jewel Cave". Mason and Riece understood and balanced each other out perfectly. I was really upset with Riece's mother, she basically let her son down and didn't believe in or support him. So Riece was a little socially awkward and had anxiety but he was intelligent, hard working and brave, he was also a sweetheart. In "Jewel Cave" I thought Mason was a class A jerk but he turned out to be kind and caring, a provider and protected. The perfect person for Riece. The action and drama were top notch in this book and so was the heat between Mason and Riece. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Gone Away by Elizabeth Noble
I enjoyed this story. There were a few areas that I felt were a bit rushed towards the end, and the main characters of Reice and Mason could have been a bit more fleshed out in order to really extract more of an emotional reaction from the reader when they were in danger, but all in all, the story was still a great one. The descriptions given for every setting was brilliant, and even the sex scenes were hot and sensually stimulating. The author did an amazing job with this book, and I look forward to reading other books in this series soon.

Maybe because I've not read the first 3 previous books of this series, but I felt it boring from the first page. Nothing clicked and after two chapters went directly to finale chapter to discover the same indecision, uncertainty and blabbing of the beginning. Definitely a no for me.
