I love this book. I was given a free preview pdf to review but ended up enjoying it so much that I just had to buy my own physical copy along with several others to give away to the expectant couples I know!
I'm a clinical psychologist with a special interest in perinatal, child and family psychology and I'm also a mum to three children aged 7, 4 and 10 months. This is my favourite book for expecting couples and new parents. So many books focus solely on the mother, or just on the birth or the 4th trimester or practical aspects of baby care. This book is unique: it gives you a really clear, realistic and practical guide to the psychological and relational ups and downs of transitioning from a romantic couple to a parenting team over the early years and beyond. It's so well researched and warmly written by the wonderful Elly Taylor who has 20 years personal and professional experience of this area. The book feels like you have Elly as your own kind and wise parenthood tour guide. I couldn't recommend it more.

Elly Taylor's work has been pivotal in my postpartum support business! I appriciate her down to earth perspective mixed with her own clinical experience. As someone who appriciates psychology, my attention was kept, while I feel empowered with easy to digest information for my not so psychology savvy clients!
