Encounter with the Devil is the third book in the Broken Halos series, and it continues right where book two left off. Hel and Eric have gone through the portal and are now in hell. Eric wants to stay as far away from his dad as he can, but it turns out they have no choice but to meet him, and a few others, along the way.

Such a great continuation of the story! I loved Hel's attitude with Lucifer, Beezlebub, Colt, and Leviathan, to name some. This girl takes no prisoners LOL I also loved how Eric stands back and doesn't try to prevent any of it happening. There is plenty of action and revelations in this book, but don't worry, you will still have more questions that haven't been answered yet.

As always, there were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted me. The world-building is very precise (especially with this book being based in one location), and the characters continue to delight and amuse. This IS part of a series though, and MUST be read after books one and two. However, it will also leave you NEEDING book four immediately, so fair warning!

I am loving this series and have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Book 3 of the Broken Halos series - Encounter with the Devil, keeps you on the edge of your seat yet again. This series keeps getting better and better with each book.
Helena has gone from being just a Hunter for the Order and hunting demons to being the mate to Eric, a Prince of Hell and going through a portal to the depths of Hell. What more can change in her life? What new life changing things will be thrust upon her and will she be able to keep her own sanity with everything thrown at her? Eric, is back in his home that he said he would never return to and having to face his father once again after turning his back on him. Will the King of Hell, Lucifer be so understanding? Or will he too have his own shady dealings and plans for Helena? He is the King of Hell and deception, so why wouldn't he? But are things so simple? Or will Helena's outlook and allegiances start to change?
Yet again another page turning, wickedly good novel. So get on it and pick this book up!!

Just unbelievable!!!! This author pulled out all the stops with this book. It is just unbelievable. I literally read it all in one evening, I could not put it down. I am not going to give away any spoilers. But this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. The suspense is just crazy, I found myself holding my breath in parts of this book. Helena will have to do the one thing she doesn't want to do, enter Hell.... But to live she has no choice. Eric loves her so much he will face Lucifer himself to save her. Can their love survive? Or is this the end? What an awesome ending!!!!! This book was spectacular and I highly recommend it as a must read!!!

Wow. That’s about all I can say. This series gets better with each book. I was so entranced I never even realised I’d got to the end. Needless to say I’m impatient for the next one to appear.
This is one fast paced book that you want to read - in series order. Your heart will go out to Helena as shfaces yet more problems.
With only two pov’s the book is easy to follow and is well written. This is one author who knows how to write.

Helena and Eric are in Hell to find Lucifer and looking for answers. Helena gains a guard through a little demon known as a Trowe. She ends up meeting Lucifer, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Colt, and others through the adventures they undertake. She gains a new power that drains her for days. She will fight hordes of demons. She discovers what jinn’s are. Eric’s and her bond become stronger. She sees Eric in his real form. Each page is filled with action after action! There is a steamy scene as well. The only thing they want to do is to get back to the human realm. They uncover a plot and who is behind it as well. This latest installment adds more to the puzzle keys of what is going on. Helena finds out who her real father is and that he is not dead! Do not miss this exciting third part of this series! I love Maya Daniels writing! She does not disappoint when it comes to taking us on another adventure! I received this book as an ARC and am writing a voluntary review.

This just gets better and better

Encounter With the Devil by Maya Daniels is the 3rd installment in The Broken Halos series

Man, this just gets better and better. It might even be my favorite of the series.

This book takes off right where we ended in book 2 and doesn’t let you off the ride until the very end.

Helena and Eric are now in Hell trying to close the gate that had been accidentally open. But being here they quickly learn not everything is as what it seems. New characters are introduced, new threats arise and new allies are formed.

I was completely breathless and blown away with the heart pounding action and excitement and that crazy cliffy at the end. I loved it!!!

The book was fantastic and can’t wait for the next one

Grab a hold of something because shît is about to hit the fan!

Oh my ~ I could not put this book down!
There's action, suspense, intrigue, passion, and of course plenty of laugh out loud sass!
Hel is in hell ~ literally, and on her way to meet first fallen agel himself ~ much to Eric's dismay! Things get very tensed between the two as they try to work out ~ actually, you know what ~ just read the book! I could go on forever, its that good!! So many things click into place from the first two books, yet there's still so many questions you're dying to know! Bring on book 4!!

Book three of the broken halo series following the events of the previous book, to escape those targeting her because she’s a hybrid Helena and Eric go through the portal to hell. They need to see Lucifer who may hold the answers they seek. But the journey through Hell is an eye opening experience for Helena in particular she realises she needs to accept who she is fully embrace herself if she has any hope for protecting herself and her loved ones. I loved the introduction of Narsi the trowe like a pet demon that eats other demons who has been waiting for Helena to serve as her mistress. Sent by her father Satanael that’s right Satan she’s the spawn of the devil a demon of wrath and an angel of mercy. Through Lucifer she discovers her father is alive not dead like she was told, and that there are a race of beings named Jinn who can mimic other people leading them to believe that she has never met the real Archangel Michael that in fact it’s a jinn pretending to be him. She learns of her father Satanael. I liked Lucifer’s explanation of the fallen angels being the seven sins Lucifer being pride, Satanael being wrath, Mammon greed whom is seeking to overthrow Lucifer it is Mammon with the help of Abbadon and the Jinn being involved in the world events when usually the jinn are watchful beings, their purpose is to be the eyes and ears over the worlds but not to engage. The jinn attack hell, trying to get Helena. I loved the introduction of Colt Eric’s identical twin brother, the fallen angels Beelzebub and Leviathan. This was a fantastic and entertaining book to read I’m absolutely loving this series I cannot wait to read more of the books especially since this one ended with Helena, a wounded Eric in healing sleep, Colt, Beezelbub and Leviathan going through the portal back to Atlanta. I highly recommend reading this book and this series

Helena and Eric are in hell due to the portal she opened. They are further away from the portal then they would have liked. Eric believes it is due to wards. Eric hides them from what Helena thinks is a dragon. It causes her severe pain, she wonders why Eric is hiding like he is. After awhile they see two demons attacking a boy. Helena will not let that stand. She attacks them, but quickly remembers she is hell. That everything is different than the human realm. Helena makes the decision to go see Lucifer, she wants answers. Eric is not happy over her decision, he will still go with her. Eric is not the same, he hiding a lot from her. Helena also feels her anger is more out of control in hell. Helena will also learn about her father, who he is. Helena also is realizing her true feeling about Eric and their bond. Helena learns that all the things are not what they seem. Things are going to get even more out of control.

This book was even better than the last, I enjoyed reading it so much. I literally could not stop reading it. It is non-stop action, twist and turners, romance. There is so much in there for everyone. There are so many details in this book I didn't write about as it would spoil some part of the story. I highly recommend reading this book/ series, you will not regret it. I can't wait to dig into another book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review

What a fun series!

I really have no constructive criticism to offer. Perhaps a higher level editor, but the editing was good enough. The first entry in the series is a fun, adventuresome, somewhat formulaic read. Entry two begins to show a greater level of creativity in the narrative. But this third entry is incredible! There is no formula adherence here. We now see the author really take the reigns as the story and it's characters gain complexity. What an incredible treat this third installment has been. Daniels did an awesome job.

The story is good and interesting but honestly I find myself skipping through half of the things Helena says as she is really really stupid and do not get me started at the way she waves around that stupid knife threatening to stab everyone. I want to be clear on one point - she is not sassy or snarky, she comes across as one of those little dogs that yaps all the times - annoying!
All the other characters and the story is actually well written and interesting so, if you can skip most of the silly yapping of the FMC, it is a passable Urban Fantasy series.

I love this woman!

Helena just gets better and better. Her powers just keep popping out just when she needs them, I can hardly wait to see what she can do when they all develop.
The jaunt through Hell was just that…hell. Along with everything else, now there are jinns, skin walking demons, to deal with. Now, fleeing for their lives with an unconscious Eric; Helena, Colt, Trowe, Beelzebub, and Leviathan escape through the portal to Atlanta. Who know what they will find.

Encounter with the devil

This book is so fast paced, it is very difficult to put down. I really enjoyed the story line and the development of the characters. I love Helena's sass, I think her new sidekick is amazing and I love what she has with Eric. He is quite a deep character. Definitely keep going with this series. It is great!

Loved the story!

I love the characters and the story. Helena is a magnet for trouble, but she's always been able to get herself out. So much action and plenty of plot! The only reason I dropped a star is because there were a lot of spelling errors and incorrect words used. I will definitely continue reading but, for anyone bothered by mistakes, I would pass.

3rd in the series

Hmmm... this series had real promise and I'm still hoping it will get there.
I struggle with the 2 main characters continously being angry, with each other and basically everyone around them. And like the last 2 books this is more of a novella at 2.5 hours.
