Gemma
School’s been great, but now that I have my diploma and a dream job lined up, I can finally chill out. And I know just the place to do it: my older brother’s condo in Key West. The only problem? My brother’s friend, grumpy Captain Ryan. Ryan’s super annoying…and super hot. He’s so ruining my vacation.

Ryan
No doubt about it: Gemma’s a knockout. From the moment she steps on my charter boat, I’m head over heels. Too bad she’s Brandon’s little sister. Nope. Not going there. As these sweltering summer days go on, though, she becomes harder and harder to ignore. And that’s not the only thing that’s hard around here.

PARADISE is a steamy, fun, short romance with insta-love, an older alpha man and younger woman, and a HEA.

(audiobook of the Alphas forever collection) I wasn’t expecting much, and I didn’t get much. As it is a collection of 4 short stories, the meeting/falling in love part is quick–hence instalove–immediately followed by some kind of conflict, and the resolution–that happens a few weeks after the initial meeting–ends with a proposal. That’s it. That doesn’t mean I didn’t like it.

Each story has its little enjoyable part–be it extreme body positivity, introducing of a really good man, funny dancing shenanigans or a nice relationship between a brother, his sister and his best friend. I was less sold on the instalove, because it wasn’t just love at first sight, it was ‘I’m gonna marry this girl’ at first sight. Much less plausible.

The sexy stuff happens fast too, and is rushed. But, once again, short stories, so it’s understandable. And since there wasn’t much character development, each protagonist reduced to their career and/or their relationship with another character, it was neither well developed romance nor erotica.

As for the narration, a dual point of view with only one narrator is tricky, and the narrator doesn’t always manage to convey both the male and the female character’s feelings. But it wasn’t atrocious either.

Quickie

Series: Alphas forever #1-4 (short standalone stories)
Hashtags: #short story #alpha male #curvy girl #instalove #brother’s best friend #neighbor #virgin #age gap #playboy
Triggers: some fat shaming
Main couples: Blair & Shane – Layla & Anthony – Samantha & Ethan – Gemma & Ryan
Hotness: 3/5
Romance: 3/5
+ the body positivity was adorable
– there’s instalove, and there’s lightning fast love…

Quickie series review: These were my first ever audio books to listen to. Me being a huge fan of Hunt, I knew I wanted to listen to at least one of her books on my road trip. I was so excited to see she had a 4 book series that was exactly the length I needed. (That’s what she said. Thanks Michael Scott). Each book had a different couple that had me immediately falling in love with. Their stories had me glue to my seat and eager to know what comes next for them. And once the last book finished I was sad to see the series come to a close. Well done, Hunt. Overall 5 Stars!!

Paradise is book four in the alpha forever series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Whilst visiting her older brother in Key West, Gemma meets Ryan. Ryan is attracted to his best friends sister from the moment he meets her. Being twelve years older and his best friends sister, he tries to stay away. Fate has other plans and Gemma and Ryan keep getting thrown together, will they give love a chance?
The chemistry between Ryan and Gemma is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. They were cute together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Gemma and Ryan. She just graduated and is heading to Key West to visit her brother before heading to Maine to teach. He's a marine biologist and needs to do research, so they take how friend's boat out. Gemma drops onto Ryan's boat literally. He tries to hide his attraction but it's hard. Great chemistry and lots of sparks. Great HEA.

Gosh, I am loving these short stories by Kate Hunt! They're short but straight to the point and the writing is so good that you don't feel like you don't understand the characters. The chemistry between Gemma and Ryan is palpable and the big brother routine with Brandon was hilarious with his protectiveness. This was sweet, sexy, and steamy!

Absolutely loved Paradise, book 4 in the Alphas Forever Series. Actually, I am loving the whole series! After college graduation, Gemma decides to spend the summer in Key West with her older brother, Brandon. Upon arriving she meets grumpy, but sexy boat captain Ryan, also Brandon's best friend. The chemistry between Gemma and Ryan is intense. But when Brandon gets suspicious, will he throw Ryan overboard for touching his little sister? Hoping for Brandon's story!

Having just finished college, Gemma goes to visit her brother at his beach house for the summer. She soon meets her brother's best friend Captain Ryan on a boating trip. Gemma and Ryan try to fight the attraction, but fail and fall head over heels in love the more time they spend together. What will happen when her brother discovers they are together? This was an awesome quick read!

Simple and cute
2.5 the story is short, simple and cute: a young woman on vacation, meets a friend of her brother whose playboy reputation is already made, and day after day, they seduced each other.
This story is neither good nor bad, but rather average although well written.

Loved this short, hot, sexy romance by the sea. Gemma has graduated college and got a job and apartment. But before school starts, she goes down to the keys to visit her older brother. She meets Ryan and they both feel the connection. They spend the rest of her vacation together becoming closer. Love the ending!!

Welcome to paradise. This was another short, hot read from this author. The story is about Gemma who is elementary school teacher and much older Ryan who runs a charter service. They like each other instantly, but the problem is, Ryan is Gemma's brother's friend.

The short story of Gemma and Ryan was really sweet! Ryan is Gemmas brothers friend and 12 years older than her, but they fall for each other almost at first sight. I really enjoyed this story even if it was short because it was well written!
