THis books was the first books to hit me hard. The ending when Karas saved Johnis he was brought before the court in the Forrest of Middle. And he said he loved Kara as he did his own sister because she reminded him so much like her. He loved a Scab. That is like Jesus loving me, a sinner. Johnis knelt down so that he was at eye level with her and told her, "You saved my life. And now I owe you mine." That was the best part of the whole book. AT LEAST FOR ME. I was moved by the love Johnis had for a Scab. A person with a disease that smelled of rotten eggs and dead skin that is gray and just disgusting. But she saved him and then he saved her! That is exactly how Jesus is. He obviously saves us not us save him, but you catch my drift. This book was amazing. it won't dissappoint.

The story was pretty good, just a bit long and drawn out. Otherwise, pretty enjoyable.

This collection of books is amazing with so many plot twists and events happening in it! Literally read both of these over a two-day span.

I'm hooked! We have 4 teens thrown together, and given a secret task. The time and place are hard to describe, but basically, one of the boys (2 boys, 2 girls) is possibly The Chosen One, born to save his people. They must gather the 7 Books of History, before The Evil One gets hold of them. In the process, they get into all kinds of trouble with their military/People's leader, being nearly killed and running into all kinds of beings.

This is loosely based on the Bible, and you will see this, if you are familiar with it, but if not, it's an extremely gripping tale of Good & Evil.

In this dual book, the teens manage to get two of the books.

To be continued....

Ted Dekker is by far my favorite writer! His writings have a definite Steven King vibe. It is based on the Christian mythology, but please don't let that scare you away. Ted is an extraordinary writer, funny, and he creates amazing characters, suspense, action, and romance. I think, this series is a good read for ANYONE who enjoys epic fantasies.

The Lost Books, is an epic fantasy series that can stand among The Game of Thrones, but I highly recommend reading Ted's The Circle Trilogy, before you devour (and lose too much sleep over) The Lost Books.

Excellent story. I can't wait to get the next one. I hate that the author left it wide open though (on the second one)...but I guess that's what they do to make you get the next one. ;)
