Yeah, yeah, I get the "depth"—he's supposed to have an oedipus complex and has to be freed of it, hence, the Tengoku's job all throughout the volume—BUT it heavily relied on sex (and that wasn't even the main problem, but) and abuse of it to the point that it hurt reading each panel, I literally cringe as my intestines twisted themselves when I endured the whole volume. The sexual exploitation dripping all over the series was an unwelcomed guest—so disgusting. The only redeeming quality this series has is the gorgeous art style and nothing more.

I pushed myself to finish it so I could give it 1 star as I have yet to give a 1-star review this 2024. This takes the crown!

Tengoku sure has his own ways with his counseling. But all I can say is that, when I read that "Parenting is imprinting" line, I feel enlightened. It sure is true, and and it punched something right through me. Anyways, I just thought, Sigmund Freud must be laughing at his grave now. (4.5/5 ⭐)

Relectura porque no recordaba. Algo en mí le tiene fe al romance en el siguiente tomo. Pero no puedo solo ignorar lo feo y mal que se sintió ver la actitud del enfermero en este volumen. Espero que algo cambie todo, pero hasta ahora es un manipulador tremendo, cero responsabilidad afectiva

Aoki and Tengoku, a love story featuring a little bit of pain and many "Good boy"s. An interesting view of why some people turn out masochistic, though I hope Aoki sensei doesn't come to conclusion that he's gay because of his mother. Honey, you were born that way. Embrace it. Very nice art. Aoki sensei does look like he's pushing 40ish, yet has a sublime beauty to him when he's flushed and mussed in the afterglow. Tengoku sensei is just lovely. Period.

The first 3 chapters were super fucked up, I almost dropped it at chapter 1 but I’m glad I kept reading it after all even thou there funny skits, its really freaking questionable but with the second volume it got so much better and enjoyable

Je remercie les éditions Taifu comics pour cette lecture. Clairement, je le dis, je ne continuerai pas ce yaoi. Ce n’est qu’un avis personnel, seulement mon opinion, mais je n’ai absolument pas réussi à aimer ce manga !

Aoki est professeur. Un de ces élèves est de plus en plus absent à ses cours, notamment pour aller à l’infirmerie et ses notes diminuent de plus en plus. Alors, quand le directeur lui demande d’aller essayer de parler à l’infirmier en question, il se voit dans l’obligation de le faire.

Cet homme, c’est Manabu. Après avoir discuté avec lui, il apprend que différentes rumeurs, comme quoi cet infirmier couchera, toucherais ses élèves est vrai. Pourtant, son élève en parle, comme s’il l’avait voulu clairement depuis le début.

Sauf que Manabu va décider de jeter son dévolu sur Aoki. Clairement, il n’en a pas envie, mais l’infirmier repère rapidement que ce qui existe ce dernier, c’est la violence. Ainsi, une relation étrange avec ce démon qu’est cet infirmier va débuter.

Je n’ai absolument pas réussi à apprécier l’histoire, pour une chose : le principe de consentement. Il m’est arrivé de lire des yaoi, ou le personnage ne veut pas trop au début, mais qui ensuite y prend du plaisir. Sauf qu’ici, clairement, surtout, au début de l’histoire, le personnage ne veut pas, mais cet infirmier continue.

Après, cela peut intéresser et plaire certain, mais pour ma part, je n’ai pas aimé retrouver cela dans ce manga. Ça me braquait et cela a rendu ma lecture d’autant plus difficile. Peut-être que certains d’entre vous auront du plaisir à lire cette histoire, mais pour ma part, je suis sûre de ne pas continuer l’aventure avec ce manga.

En bref, c’est un manga qui pourra plaire à certain, mais qui ne l’a pas fait avec moi. Je n’ai pas supporté de voir le principe de consentement, surtout au début de l’histoire, bafouer et ignoré. Cela était beaucoup trop réel pour ne pas me bloquer lors de ma lecture. J’espère néanmoins que si certain de vous l’ont lu, vous l’aurez plus apprécié que moi.

La lectura estaba interesante en los primeros capitulos; el profesor Aoki arrastra problemas desde la niñez, es un adulto frustrado que no ama lo que hace, etc. El problema esta en la relacion no consentida que se da con el enfermero... Sumandole que este tiene una dinamica extraña con ESTUDIANTES.
Toda la trama sicologica se va a la basura despues que el enfermero abusa de Aoki, porque este acto no deja NINGUN trauma en él... Si me van a vender una historia con temas profundos, no me metas estos actos de violencia de gratis, se hace todo menos creible y la historia pierde todo el sentido.

Okay, this comes with a bunch of trigger warnings (dubious consent stuff, some sadomasochism, etc) so if you're sensitive to that you might want to check them before reading.
I wasn't sure how to rate the first volume, cause this one is the most problematic one. I settled on 4 stars just because I like reading problematic stuff (honestly, Japan knows how to make this dark stuff work) and cause I loved how the relationship between the characters developed in vol. 2 and 3.
The art is really pretty and both mc are so interesting, they're a bit insane but they truly match each others freak. I hope there'll be more of them in the future.

I don't know man...at first it's sounds good a psychological manga, abuse, and how it affects the main character but... something feels off and I don't know why..the sex scenes wasn't smuty and it's absolutely okay (for me) but it's I think that the trauma thread was not explained enough here and suddenly we get the second character problems out of nowhere(with brother)which were forced in my opinion because earlier it didn't seem like anything was wrong. And so we skipped the first character trauma thread and jumped to the second one

It took some time for me to like this one, I wasn't liking the story nor the kind of relationship that was developing between the two. Tbh the 1st volume is kinda messed up... no consent and everything...I only started to like it on the 2nd volume. But I kinda liked how they didn't address the uke's trauma with his mother that much, like, it happened, it was a thing, but it wasn't the main focus.

A beautiful drawn and heart-wrenching masterfully written book! I love the characters, the dynamic, and the gorgeous art! And the story is so lovely! I don't often see stories with this dynamic and the way it's done is just... so compelling and beautiful. The characters are also funny and sweet and ridiculous. And really, the art is just gorgeous. Love it!

Started out rough but then the story line and complex emotions developing made the story interesting. Both main characters have big issues but their interactions are developing in interesting ways. I like that the characters are older and have rough edges. Will definitely read the next volume to see how things progress.

This is a psychological story. A slow burn romance?? The story feels like a push and pull with two people who are closed off emotionally. It's interesting. It is a story about sex, but it doesn't feel excessively smutty.

I do really like that the main characters are in their 30s.

Oh boy, there are a lot of questionable themes in this manga. Non-con, abuse of authority and other stuff, all of it romanticised. I really enjoyed it, but feel the need to mention that I am an adult who easily differentiates between fiction and reality ;)

老套的劇情+危險的人設，出奇的平淡且生活化，但效果很好。天獄這種人其實現實裡也不少，沒有改變或成長的契機的話根本就是共情能力低的社會隱患。不過原來小變態也有春天。青鬼真好，跟小變態一起真好，(再)裡面真的變老夫老夫了(流下老母親的眼淚)。
