I liked the non story parts of the book except for the end where its just very short chapters with not much info outside of bible commentary ( what you could read without reading this book ) and i still do not understand why he added the intro to the book about him in the elevator.

It was weird too to go from non fiction back into fiction again at the end of the book. might have been better to have all the '' fiction '' in one part.
wasnt a bad read overal

THE POPULAR AUTHOR/PASTOR ANSWERS BIBLE QUESTIONS ‘CONTEXTUALLY’

Author Carl Gallups wrote in the ‘Author’s Note’ of this 2016 book, “This is the third in the ‘Gods’ trilogy. The first two are ‘Gods and Thrones’ and ‘Gods of Ground Zero.’ … if one eventually reads all three, I am convinced that an entirely new world of biblical illumination will be opened to the student of God’s Word. Cited within these books are several scholarly resources… However, readers will also find a healthy dose of commentary that is offered by the classical scholars---those from the 1700s-darly 1900s… I’ve long been concerned that much of the heart of the Bible’s intended communication has been purposely obfuscated down through the ages. And, I am convinced that a great deal of that message-clouding was originally orchestrated at the deepest realms of spiritual darkness. After you’ve read this book, I believe you’ll understand exactly why this is so.”

He recounts an incident at a hospital where he believed he was accompanied by another pastor, yet the nurses reported that he had been alone the entire time. “I went home and told my wife what had happened. She responded in a matter-of-fact manner. ‘… It sounds to me like you were visited by an angel.’ … I’m convinced that I was visited by one of heaven’s ‘sons of God.’ These many years later, it would be difficult to persuade me otherwise. I have come to grips with the clear biblical fact that angels disguised as humans truly move and minister among us at times. Sometimes they are sent for the distinct purpose of undergirding our spiritual strength, especially in times of trouble.” (Pg. 11-12)

He asserts that “Satan had finally manipulated Judas into delivering Jesus … to the cross of crucifixion… Satan could not have known, at this point, the devastation to his own kingdom that he had ultimately set in motion. If he had, he would never have acted so foolishly… Why didn’t Satan just read the Bible? After all, the foretelling of the coming Messiah… was all right there in front of Satan’s face. RIGHT? Could [Satan] have really been so foolish as to not be able to figure out the biblical clues? Remember though, the very earliest New Testament documents weren’t written and distributed among the Christians until several decades AFTER the resurrection of Yesua and the birth of the church… By the time it was finally circulated, the material evidence was mere hindsight to Satan… But even Satan, with all of his superior acumen, lacked one key ingredient to the final mix. He didn’t have the Holy Spirit illumination that is necessary to decode the deep mysteries of God’s word. Satan’s heart was blackened with pride and greed…” (Pg. 137-138)

He suggests, “What Jesus completed at Calvary also answers another age-old question… Why didn’t God just kill Satan instantly---immediately after the corrupted everything in the Garden? Why go to all that trouble and suffering and allow thousands of years of evil and devastation to prosper?... following is the long and short of the matter. If Yahweh had only wanted to destroy Satan, it could have been done in a nanosecond. But God’s purpose was far beyond … Satan’s instantaneous destruction. Heaven’s plan involves three main purposes. The first one … He wanted you to understand life with Him as it was intended to be experienced, beginning in the Garden of Eden… Secondly, His plan included your free choice… But there’s another reason God did not end Satan’s existence a long time ago. Yahweh would not have His righteous character eternally besmirched by the father of lies and murder…” (Pg. 151-152)

He says of the ‘quantum entanglement’ discovered by quantum physicists, “Think about it. instantaneous communication, at the speed of light, from one dimension to another dimension. That sounds awfully close to the supernatural concept of prayer, doesn’t it? It even comes fairly close to putting a ‘scientific twist’ on the concept of God the Father being located in the dimension of heaven while at the same instant existing in human flesh on earth.” (Pg. 173)

Of Revelation 21:1, 4, he notes, “Practically every single one of the classical commentators .. agree that these verses from Revelation are meant to be taken in a literal manner. Each… states, in his own way, that SOMETHING will happen in the end of days wherein a brand new and literal dimension of reality will be brought to us, and we to it.” (Pg. 205) Later, he adds, “Now that we know what we are looking for, Scripture begins to make a lot more sense---even in the scientific understanding of it all… we are just now discovering that science is always catching up to the Bible., and certainly not the other way around. The truth of multiple dimensions, especially the ability of the EVIL PORTIONS of the divine realm to breach those dimensions, shines a brand-new light upon several of the wilderness temptations Satan dangled in front of Jesus, and upon the reasons why Jesus submitted Himself to them… Apparently, even Jesus Himself, while in human flesh, voluntarily submitted to the supernatural power’s interdimensional transference that was possessed by the prince of the power of the air.” (Pg. 208)

He continues, “When we read the wilderness temptation events as described in Mattew 4 and Luke 4, how do we interpret these verses that would have us accept by ‘faith’ that Jesus Himself was ‘taken’ to the temple in Jerusalem? … there truly was a genuine multidimensional and physical ‘transportation’ involved, but by a means that was over and over and above is naturally available to mere humanity… the classical commentators …. knew Satan apparently had access to a certain class of fearsome powers that exceeded anything possessed by humans. But why should we be surprised at this particular notion? Scripture is abundantly plain in warning us of this truth.” (Pg. 211-212)

Of the parable of the rich man in Luke 16, he comments, “we are told that the rich man was ‘in torment.’ … This is perhaps one of the most debated and misunderstood concepts in the entire passage… could it really be that those who reject God’s offer of salvation … are relegated to some sort of torture chamber, where all manner of sadistic horrors are brutally inflicted upon them?... this is not likely the most accurate interpretation. However… simply because the word doesn’t always CONTEXTUALLY mean a ‘chamber of literal physical horrors…’ the reality might be even more heartbreaking than that, especially when we understand there is no coming back from that place, or state of being. There simply are no ‘second chances.’ EVER… what does the word ‘torment’ contextually indicate?... in every instance of its use in the New Testament, it is translated as some sort of gut-wrenching anguish, even physical pain---but never by the hands of a literal and sadistic torturer…” (Pg. 307-309)

He summarizes, “the biblically predicted demonic outpouring of the last days is here. The unmitigated flood of perversion and profanity that continually pours out upon humanity is spreading across the globe at lightning speed. You are not imagining it. It is really happening, while most of the world slumbers through it, believing everything is ‘normal.’ I do not claim to be a prophet. The way I see it, the prophets have already spoken; their words concerning the last days are found within the pages of Scripture. My ministry goal is to contextually unveil what the prophets have already said---and what many of the scholars who have been poring over their words for ages have already seen… There is still so much kingdom work yet to be finished… Jesus chose … faithful ones to walk by his side during the amazingly prophetic days of their time, He has chosen us to do the same thing, within the unveiling of our own prophetic days.” (Pg. 385-386)

Excellent work by Pastor Carl Gallups! I truly enjoyed this book and took a lot of notes in the process of reading it. I was especially intrigued at his discussion of "multiple dimensions" to explain many, MANY of the instances in the Bible that truly do line up with this hypothesis. It is something I'm going to continue looking into.

Based upon his explanation - I believe that may be what WE are about to experience at the soon return of the Lord! Amen!

Great work - I highly recommend!

Great Book...... But

This was a very well written book and very hard to put down, would have given it 5 stars except there were some points made I just can't except. A little overboard at times, some truth but also some error.

I highly enjoyed gods and thrones and also read his second book in the series (can’t remember the name right now). I was expecting something that felt similar to the last two. This wasn’t remotely the same at all. And frankly, as a seasoned Christian, it was boring and not fresh. I felt like this was a book to hand to a very fresh Christian or someone who is questioning. I found it dull, and really couldn’t wait to be done.
