It’s the beginning of peak season in Cascade Cove, Florida, and another murder has occurred, this time at the quaint bed and breakfast situated on the outskirts of town.
After a notoriously harsh food critic arrives to make yet another unsuspecting local restaurant tank, he’s soon found strangled in his room at the B&B. When the authorities hit a wall in their investigation, it’s up to Sarah, with the help of her sassy cousin Emma, and their two dogs and cat, to uncover the mystery.
As the mystery unfolds, Sarah is confronted with the uncomfortable reality that the killer might be someone she’s known for years. Will Sarah outsmart the murderer, nabbing them before it’s too late? Or will she unwittingly fall into the killer’s trap, becoming their next victim?
Join Sarah and the rest of the gang at Larry’s Pawfect Boutique in this fun Whodunit Pet Cozy Mystery Series. So, get nestled in your favorite chair, put on a pot of tea, and escape into the cozy beachside town of Cascade Cove!
Cascade Cove’s summer season has hit and the tourists are out in full force. The last thing that this town needs is another murder, but it has happened, and at the quaint little B&B run by friends of Grandpa Larry. This means that Sarah has been invited once again to stick her nose in and help her cop pal Adam solve the case. Since the local authorities have hit a brick wall, Adam thinks that Sarah’s uncanny ability to get people to talk might work in their favor. The problem is not that they can’t find a killer, it is just that the murder victim (a food critic) was so unliked by many that they have a long list of suspects but no circumstantial evidence to pin on anyone. Unfortunately for Pepper, she soon finds out that someone she has known and liked for years could be the potential murderer and it just isn’t sitting too well with her.
This is the second book in the new Whodunit Pet cozy mystery series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone. What I enjoy most are the likable and loveable characters of Pepper, her cousin Emma, her pal Adam, and of course Pepper’s grandparents. If you are looking for a cozy mystery that is whimsical and humorous, has lots of adventure, quirky characters, and a mystery with tons of twists and turns, then this book is right for you.

A food critic has been murdered at the B & B. He’s a horrible man who has put many restaurants out of business. Adam has come up short on suspects and asks Sarah to do her ‘ninja sleuthing’ to help him out. Is it the married lady he’s fooling around with or her husband? Maybe a restaurant owner who had a bad review? But just which of the owners of the restaurants with the bad reviews would resort to murder to shut the reviewer up?
I love this series so far. The characters tight family interactions are wonderful and the slight bickering between the cousins has me laughing out loud! Grandpa Larry setting the kitchen on fire reminds me of my husband! I’m looking forward to book 3!

How can you not love a book where the favorite characters are the four legged ones? In book 2 of this series, a murder has happened at the local B&B. When the authorities become stumped as to who killed the victim, Sarah and her friend Emma are there to help solve the mystery, along with their four legged friends. Is the killer someone they might know? A fun and enjoyable read you won't want to put down. A perfect cozy mystery to curl up in your porch swing and spend your afternoon reading and getting lost in the book. Wonderfully written!

Betrayal at the B & B is book 2 of the Whodunit series but can be read as a stand alone. The story is progressive but as a whole, each book can be read as an individual.
Written as a 3rd person, single pov with a completed ending. There is no HEA or HFN ending, just a conclusion to the mystery. Comical characters, good story line, engaging dialogue, and good descriptions to details.
All in all a good read.

Sarah is disturbed when she realizes that the person responsible for the latest murder might be someone she knows. So which of the folks around her are lethal?
Some of the folks she thinks she can trust, maybe they might be safe near her- but certainly they were a hazard to their victim.
Small towns hide lots of secrets.
Together with her pets and her cousin, a hot summer lies ahead!
Twisted KU mystery!

Sarah is enjoying her summer with family at her Grandfather’s shop, Larry’s Pawfect Boutique, in Cascade Cove. However, the murder of a food critic at the Beachside B & B has Sarah scrambling for answers. There could be serious consequences from this distasteful situation. Even Winston helps find clues. Betrayed at the B & B has entertaining characters in an enjoyable mystery.

Sarah is spending the summer in Cascade Cove, Florida, and helping out at Larry’s Pawfect Boutique when a murder occurs at a nearby bed & breakfast. Sarah and her cousin, Emma, decide to try to find the murderer with the help of their cat and two dogs.
This is a fun lighthearted cozy mystery that could turn out to be Sarah's last if the killer gets to her before she finds the killer.

Sarah has extended her summer stay and finds herself involved with a case around a murdered food critic. I like the relationships that are building and the additions of Sarah’s grandmother and Teek.
I really enjoyed this second book in the series. I wish I'd read it a little sooner, but just realized it was still in my Kindle Unlimited when I went to borrow another book. I definitely didn't want to put this one on hold any longer. Silly me didn't even realize that the new Caribbean Cruise series by this author that I just read recently is a spin-off of this one! That makes it even cooler. Ruth got to make an appearance in this book, since she'd taken time off to visit with Sarah when she thought Sarah was only staying for two weeks, not the entire summer. I love Ruth's character of course since I've already met her in the other series. Grandpa Larry was a hoot as always. Sarah and Emma proved the time-proven fact that when close cousins get together, they morph into kids, lol. I can definitely testify to that from personal experience!
It's cool how Sarah's friend Adam has to ask her to get involved in the investigation instead of the other way around. Being a teacher, she was always good at reading people, so Adam appreciated those skills. I had kind of suspected the person who ended up being the killer, but there was a little twist in there that I would never have guessed. I love how the book has some normal everyday stuff going on toward the end to kind of wind down from the mystery, which was completely explained. There's a mini cliff hanger at the end, but the kind that this one is doesn't bother me. I'll be borrowing the next book for sure! I hope that Sarah stays in Cascade Cove but summer will be taking awhile, since this book goes right into the next one.
I enjoyed this book more than the first in the series, mainly because of the charming Florida seaside setting, but the characters are still incredibly childish. Sarah and her cousin constantly squabble like a couple of 12 year olds. "Emma's got a boooooy friend".
Worst of all, Sarah once again sets up a trap for the killer with no police backup. Sure, she does ask her grandmother to call cop friend, Adam, as she sets off for her date with a killer, but what if Adam is in the middle of a meeting or otherwise engaged?
Silly and childish, yet as I read the book I long to enjoy fresh fish and and walk along the beach, smelling the fresh salt air. A dog like Winston at my side would be nice (or even a rowdy one like Rugby)
This is the second book in the pet Cozy mystery series. A good mystery and likeable characters. The setting is great too, in a small Oceanside town. I enjoyed the first two books so much that I purchased all the books in the series for my kindle library.
Just at the peak time for tourist another murder occurs, this time in a Bed and Breakfast. The small coastal town of Cascade Falls, Florida can not afford this kind of publicity. It turns out he is a famous food critic whose review causes another restaurant to be in trouble. The local police ask Sarah for help as she can ask questions without much attention. Along with her cousin Emma and her two dogs they begin the investigation that could put them all in danger.
This is the second book in the Whodoneit Cozy Pet Mystery Series and it is just as great the first one. The characters are wonderful, interesting and full of personality. The addition of grandma is adds a lot to the mix. The budding romance is a nice addition. The mystery is full of great twists and surprising turns that keep you reading along. I am really looking forward to the next one in this delightful cozy series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Okay it was well crafted and threw up a few suspects but really the solution, at least in part, was too obvious. Plus I have read several books on the same theme and with nearly the same ending. The characters though are engaging and do give the storyline that 'human' touch. A death at the local B&B has most of the local businesses worried. If the culprit isn't found soon then it won't be just the B&B that will suffer losses. She's reluctant to get involved but does so anyway as the death of a well known food critic is newsworthy. As she investigates she discovers more and more about the dead man. Extra martial affairs, blackmail and so much more. But who killed him? Will her trap work?
A young woman with a history in town bounces from suspect to suspect when a murder victim (Who deserved it) draws her attention. The relationships of the main characters are an added draw to a cozy mystery
I still really enjoy cozy mysteries. Added bonus is the family togetherness. I do believe there will be a move in Sarah's future, along with another murder to help solve.
Sarah and her cousin Emma once again get involved in solving a murder. The characters are realistic, likable and even the dogs are characters. Easy fun read.
