Lola Gabriel loves reading and writing paranormal romances. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she has fond memories of retreating to the woods for long hikes. The towering evergreens, natural waterfalls, and soothing rain often set the scenery for her characters' romantic encounters.
*Lola Gabriel was created by a group of friends who all write under the nom de plume. For the sake of simplicity, we use “she” and “I” for Lola’s communication.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This was probably my favorite of the 4. Sabine and Roman connected on such a level beyond communication. A Heartfelt sexual connection between them. It was a very interesting story. Too short for my liking but very good just the same. On to the next series. 🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊
Sabine Sykes is a Gaia witch with enhanced power, as well as a vigilante known as the “Winterfox”, finding justice outside of the law. But on this mission, she allowed the dense sticky spider web she ran into face-first to throw her off balance and she slammed into a tree hard enough to knock the air out of her and drop her to the ground. With the sound of dogs right behind her, she ran again, turned a corner, and ran right into a man in the middle of the jungle! Everything from his combat boots to the military-grade steel mask and visor he wore was the picture of a man Sabine did not want to fight. He obviously was a professional who knew what he was doing.
The man correctly identified her as the Winterfox, and Logbook shouted into her earpiece that the man was the elusive Lost King, more myth than man! Telling her she did good work, he lowered the rifle and jogged off into the jungle! Just as she was about to escape back to Earth, everything went black around her. Not knowing who captured her, she kept her eyes closed for a moment to try to get more information. She was in a bed with silk sheets, snow falling outside the glass walls. A box on her hands shut down her abilities. She wouldn’t be able to shift.
Roman Tahan, the Lost King, had saved Sabine’s life, but believing she has been kidnapped, she never stops her attempts to escape – even when Roman repeatedly brings her back. When Sabine again escapes, she has put both herself and Roman in danger. Now they will have to join forces to find shelter and survive. And as they get to know each other, feelings threaten to distract them and Roman starts to pull away. Will they be able to save themselves? And why is he afraid to take off his mask?
This was a well-written story that kept the reader’s attention from the start. The characters were well-presented as strong, independent heroes that commanded respect. Are they willing to work together against a common foe? What will the future hold for them?
*Spoilers* Another story about a Gaia witch and mysterious man. This one definitely was better with dialogue between the main characters but this shouldn’t have been labeled as a romance or even mystery or paranormal. Only the descriptions of the characters were paranormal in theory. We don’t see much use of powers from any of them and again most of the attention was dealt into laying out the world, places, and inner thoughts. Sabine is supposed to be an all powerful witch but we don’t know how or why. The King is supposed to be a vigilante that everyone fears but you never feel any threat from him at all. Most of the story revolves around Sabine saying how she used to do this and that and escape from so many places but yet she gives in when King “kidnaps” her to keep her safe from a villain looking for her magic.. that again we never know why. Then the worst part is that somehow he ends up being killed and she’s automatically safe again with the King? There was so much potential in this story if it was edited more to remove all the unnecessary stuff which is like the first 20% percent of the book and created battles or more tension and chemistry between King and Sabine. Again we are only given a glimpse of anything in the last 2 chapters of the book and then it’s implied as a happy ever after!?

Being a king means protecting everything that is in your power!
In the modern world, the Lost King was a myth, an enigma, a legend, but behind everything he was a man with great power, entitled to protect all even those whom he loved most. Sabine Sykes, the Winterfox, should hide her power as Gaia witch to avoid evil forces came for her and make her to active an ancient weapon to raise death. Little she knew about that and she was running from her own death. However, these two vigilantes were meant to be together, to struggle against evil forces and to acknowledge them to be understood as man and woman, with faults and desires that let them fall in love at the end.
Lola Gabriel gives us a book to read, with good characters that were hidden behind masks, with depth feelings that look for being discovered at the right time and by the right person. This is my first book from her, and I’m very satisfied with an entertaining reading.

Lola Gabriel is a very clever author there’s not one of her books that I haven’t liked and the Lost King is no exception. Sabine is the Winterfox a vigilante she does things above the law but on this mission she gets caught but Roman the Lost King comes in and saves her but Sabine believes that she has been kidnapped so she keeps trying to escape but Roman always gets her. Roman wears a mask to hide his identity when he carries out his own kind of justice but when Sabine runs again and Roman catches her she has unwittingly put both of their lives in danger. They both have to work together but what happens when passion gets in the way?. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
The characters in this story are wonderful. Sabine is a refreshing exciting young woman who sees the world in a positive, but not naive, way. The King is your typical dark, brooding hero with a good and sensitive heart. As with the others in this series, there is a lot of story and a little steam. Things that bothered me: Why would she have recognized him without his mask? She was supposedly returning to earth, but it that where the story takes place? If so, where was she to begin with? I know it’s a short one, but why bring up stuff and not follow up on it? It is something of a page turner and I enjoyed reading it.

Hard to keep your mask on while protecting your heart. Sabina, Gaia witch, vigilante known as Winterfox is exposed to the spider web evil substance then kidnapped! She is rescued/kidnapped by another vigilanted, the masked Lost King, Roman. Roman tries to protect Sabina from the bad guys and herself. The adventure they go on to survive, fight/protect and just live is exciting, challenging and adrenaline overcharging!Do they learn each other's identities? Do they complete their tasks? Do they get caught? Ms Gabriel's prose keeps you glued ot your kingle risking dry eye from the intensity. Her descriptions have you right there in the thick of things with Sabina & Roman. Well done! Lost King by Lola Gabriel is the fourth stand alone book in the Chosen series. In this book, Sabine the vigilante named the Winterfox is on the run from the guards of a prison that she has just escaped from. As she’s running, she runs into the one person she least expects the Lost King another person who fights evil. Next time she wakes up she is in the Lost King’s home. This is the beginning of their surprising story. I was enchanted by the character of Sabine in this book and her unwavering attitude of never giving up. Plus the snarky way she interacts with everyone and everything around her. This is a fun and entertaining read that I recommend to anyone who enjoys a special paranormal romance. Lost King is an entertaining paranormal love story.
Sabine is captured then rescued by the masked figure known as the Lost King. Masked vigilante Sabine “Winterfox” Sykes is running through the jungle trips and hits a tree then as she runs on turns a corner and crashes into a masked man the Lost King and they both move on then as she is in sight of the device to take her home everything goes black. When she come to she is in a room with a box over her hands containing her powers she had been rescued from Mad Jack by the Lost King and was currently in his home for.

Reading the book I had the feeling of being in a virtual reality or a game, mixing fantasy and rebels against a ruler. As a concept not bad, but personally I found it irritating and not very persuasive. I could imagine though - if you like both of those genres, you might also like this book A rebel witch, trying to bring magic back into a kingdom, a man trying to sacrifice her to renew an ancient weapon and another man who is holding her in protective custody. In itself an interesting plot and you might like it better than I did. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lola Gabriel has a way of creating suspenseful paranormal romance stories and The Lost King is no exception. Follow Sabine a Gaia witch and vigilante who works outside the law to achieve justice and Roman as they attempt to stay alive and eliminate the threat against Sabine's life. The Lost King is a captivating new read from Lola Gabriel that readers won't want to put down filled with danger, unexpected plot twists, witty banter, laughter, passion, and love. Readers will love the story line and the wonderful characters. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more from Lola Gabriel.

While this is in the Chosen world it doesn't seem to blend with the other books in the series
Sabine is a vigilante she rights wrongs but she has been captured and imprisoned. Roam the lost king rescues her but Sabine feels like she has gone from one prison to another wanting to get back to her grandmother she escapes and runs Roman has to go after her putting them both in danger As they shelter from a storm they get to one another and the attraction between them grows Do they have a future together and will they both survive You will have to read to see
This is another addition to The Chosen series, it can be read as a standalone story. Sabine"Winterfox" is a agile and spunky vigilante whose identity has just been revealed. She has evil Mad Jack after her for her Gaia witch blood and she's rescued by the Lost King, Roman who is a fellow vigilante. I enjoyed this story, it's fast-paced and well-written, my only gripe is that you don't have much drama from Mad Jack or the ghouls flying around. Other than that it's interesting and well-written.
Loved this book the first one of this series of books had a great story line how The lost king saves but also kidnapped the Winterfox as the time goes on Winterfox always looking to escape actually manages it the lost king goes after her once again to rescue and protect from the creatures of the night. During this time they get a little closer make it back to the fort where after time lost king comes to her room and their passion for each other ignites. Will be reading all the other books in the chosen series
Sabine is a Gaia witch turned into a vigilante. Roman, aka Lost King, has been hiding out and doing the same as Sabine. Sabine thought she was kidnapped by him and tried to escape. He went after her and together they had to survive in the wilderness. Once they make it back to the fortress, he explains everything. Some where along the way they fell for each other. It was a great book I could not put down.

The characters Sabine & Roman are strong & interesting in this story full of mystery. Even though having been kidnapped but then saved by Roman she still does not fell safe & tries to escape but eventually after being together a bit more there is a strong connection & chemistry between them. Another of Lola's books that i recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a very intriguing story that is fairly fast paced! It's a quick read that is also short and fascinating. I enjoyed this nicely written story and captivating plot. Love the characters! Sabine and Roman are great! She is the Winterfox a vigilante distributing justice when she is kidnapped by the Lost King. Great chemistry between these characters. Overall, this is a good read that I could not put down.
Again an exciting book with a gaia witch in the lead. Sabine uses her powers and knowledge to do well and hides behind a mask. The lost King also hides behind a mask, both figuratively and literally. Both develop feelings for each other but, figuratively speaking, continue to hide behind a mask of feelings.
I find the end rather abrupt, as if the story is not finished.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
I was very impressed with how simply and effortlessly this author told this addicting, multi-layered story with well-developed world building and great characters and still manage to make romance feel so fresh!

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Sabine is a Winterfox a Vigilant she was captured. Roman is the Lost King and wears a mask no one knows his identity. He rescued Sabine and she kept running away. Roman would just keep catching her. There is action, lust, trust issues. Sabine, “Winterfox,” was a Gaia witch with enhanced power from an explosion as a child. In addition, she was a vigilante. The Lost King, an urban legend and also a vigilante, had secured her in his “fort” to protect her. Good story with some very reclusive, but well defined characters. Good read!

I loved this intriguing story, the descriptions of everything is so excellent, I felt I could see everything Sabine and the King were experiencing. All that snow, Sabine was a trooper. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was great.

A shifter romance that has plenty of action. The book has a spy feel as the two main characters are individuals who risk their lives to do what they believe is right. But what happens when they finally meet? Nothing is ever easy so expect plenty of twists and tons of sexual tension. And also a heroine who is pretty kick butt.
Two independent individuals, two peas in a pod, two persons who inspired each other to do more and do better, for the good of others... One great story.
