It's OK - go ahead and roll your eyes. I owe myself a guilty pleasure every once in a while. As a hardocre Patriots fan, I admit this is pure self indulgence!

Indeed. You see it correct everyone. I gave a book titled: "Greatness: The Rise of Tom Brady" only THREE stars (and I leaned towards two). WHY?! Now, now, now. It's not that I don't think that the words "Greatness" and "Tom Brady" don't belong in the same sentence, they do. I actually think "brilliant", "flawless", "radiant" and "Jesus" actually are even more fitting.

So how could I give a book on the simple amazing talents of Tom Brady and how humble and sweet he is only three stars? Well... it's a big choppy to start. It swings a little to far into different parts of his life when describing his childhood, the Patriots really shouldn't come into play. And when describing his time at Michigan the fact that he played for a little league team named the "Red Sox" also shouldn't.

Really though, I do love me the Boston Globe, but I have to admit... this is like reading a picture book. I almost expected coloring sections and mazes to complete along with a Pat the Patriot connect-the-dots. And I try to justify by thinking of the demographic that they are tendering to, but then... I'm pretty sure those people can read. Not to say that I can't look into those dreamy eyes and smile with dimples too-boot for hours on end and it hardly can be held against me as an adult woman to have a Tom Brady Fat Head on my wall in my room, right? (New England agrees with me, forget the rest of you boobs)

I digress. Overall, it's not awful. I mean Tommy Gun looks good in anything you put him in, right? Including three Super Bowl rings and a couple MVP awards... ahem, ahem. Let me not digress again on the awards and accolades of Mr. Brady now shall I? You'll be reading for a week, or an afternoon if you take the picture book route.

But really, if you want to know what gets my goat about this book? Of the 1,000s of photos they used in the book they picked the one where he has a pseudo-mullet for the cover. Yer killin' me, Smalls!
