Roger Livingston Scaife (14 Aug 1875 - 19 Oct 1951).

Scaife's career began with publisher Houghton, Mifflin Company in Boston in 1898, where he was later their director. He became vice-president and director of Little, Brown & Company in 1934. He was also formerly director of Harvard University Press.
