The Penultimate Episode of the Paranormal Talent Agency
Demon Barbara Knollman enjoys her reign as the head of Las Vegas and barely tolerates the necessity of running for office. But when her precognitive abilities save her from an attack on the candidates, she becomes both target and suspect.
Uncertain of her next steps, Barbara agrees to help angel Liam Collins stop a supernatural being hellbent on taking control of the paranormal world by whatever means necessary. And wonders if she’s heading down a path of no return.
Accused of murder and with her demonic powers on the fritz, Barbara allows Liam to convince her to team with the Paranormal Talent Agency. Can Barbara clear her name, stop a killer… and open her dark heart to true love?
Short & Sweet Paranormal Romance with Supernatural Suspense
This is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. Much like on television, each episode contains a complete sweet paranormal romance and supernatural murder mystery. But the crossover characters and hints of a larger story suggest reading these in order.

I enjoy how this author is able to pull me in right from the start and keep me turning pages. Barbara is running for mayor but her current position allows her to control the paranormal underworld. She is a character that I found myself liking but than there was other times I didn’t like her. She did however, make the story come to life for me. What will happen when she becomes the number one suspect when all of the candidates are killed? This is a sweet romance that I highly recommend.
The books just keep getting better with each installment. This time, we get Barbara (Demon)'s point of view. This was a really good story (and just for accuracy's sake, I personally never judge a story for it's punctuation (Not that I noticed any problems in ANY of the books). I enjoyed this book thoroughly, and honestly didn't think I would. (I should have known better, after four spectacular stories.) I definitely highly recommend this book, and the rest of the series.
Barbara is running for the Mayor of Las Vegas and she has a lot of competition. Well, a lot until Mark Mammon comes on the scene and gets rid of most of them. Barbara is struggling with her premonitions lately. She feels they is something wonky about them – but maybe she is struggling with admitting to herself what they are telling her. This was a great ending! Looking forward to what Barbara will do with her decisions in the next book!
Barbara Knollman, a demon, is gathering support for her bid for Mayor after years representing her constituents on the city council. Tonight was the final debate before the primary elections, so everyone was excited. Lynn Fox, her campaign manager, told her they would be boarding the bus in a half hour, so Barbara went to her office to wait. This debate was important because the winner usually also ruled the underworld, and since the current Mayor was human, the authority passed to Barbara to be Ruler of the Supernatural Underworld for the Vegas region. With the Mayor stepping down, if a supernatural won, Barbara could lose that status!
Sitting in her office, Barbara got a premonition that she should not get on the bus. Her premonitions had not been accurate lately, so she wasn’t sure if she should trust this one. She decided that she and Lynn would take the limo instead. But when they were 20 minutes away, Mark Mammon, one of the candidates, a fellow supernatural demon running a close third in the polls, texted her to turn on the news. The debate bus had been in an accident – there were no survivors! She and Mark were the only candidates still alive!
Detective Jacob Dawson, with the Las Vegas Police Department called Barbara, wanting an appointment to talk to her about the accident. Although human, the Detective was dating Mia Fynn, a supernatural allied with the Paranormal Talent Agency. In the meantime, she reviewed the dossier her investigator had given her on Mark Mammon.
Barbara’s premonition kicked in again when she got home. She saw the back of a man with brown or black hair and sensed feelings of love, hate, power, and betrayal. But she couldn’t see his face. A woman appeared, Olivia Williams from the Paranormal Talent Agency. But what did it mean? Was there a connection? And who was the man?
To Barbara’s surprise, Liam Collins, an angel and her ex-boyfriend from many years ago, stood at her door. He wanted her help with the investigation – because he knew Mark Mammon had ordered the hit on the bus, thinking ALL of the candidates would be on it, and that would give him control of the paranormal world! The bad side to it all was that Liam was working with the Paranormal Talent Agency and she had a history with them. Will she and Liam be able to clear her name with the police? How dangerous is Mark Mammon? And why is she feeling a strong attraction again to her ex-boyfriend, the angel?
This series is really good! The story line was perfect and moved along at a quick pace. The characters were very well developed, many of them familiar from previous stories. Don’t miss the excitement of this book as the team goes up against Mark Mammon! There is so much at stake here!

Jumping the Shark is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series by Heather Silvio. As I have come to expect from Ms. Silvio, this was a really fun paranormal mystery, with some supernatural elements, politics, murder, intrigue, danger, some suspense, quirky and interesting characters, and of course, a sweet romance. This book may be a short, easy read- but there is nothing lacking about the content. I was really intrigued about following Barbara through her story- especially considering her involvement in previous stories. I wasn’t sure her ‘story’ would live up to the other books, but I shouldn’t have doubted Ms. Silvio, because Jumping the Shark certainly doesn’t disappoint- in fact this has become my favourite of the series, so far- with only one book left to come! I love how all the books combine to build a bigger picture and things that were ‘started’ in previous books finally begin to/come together in this book. We catch up with familiar characters from previous books, as well as a few new ones- which added an extra element of interest to the story. I really enjoyed the clever mystery and the great tension that Ms. Silvio managed to create in her story. I could tell she put a lot of thought, imagination, heart, and soul into her work- the story is a credit to her writing talents. This definitely has an original spin on the paranormal romance/mystery theme. And as I have said previously with the other books, that I think that the stories and premise would make a fun television series, too. I am excited to read the final instalment, although it will be a bittersweet moment!
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio was a fun, fast moving read, that had me hooked!
This series is by far one of my favourites this year. With each book we are following a new character, but the overall goal and plot is continuous. So even though each book has a new MC, I highly suggest reading them in order, or you will miss very important details, especially in this book, as the MC was once the protagonist. Though she showed some promise in the last book, in this one we get inside her head. We get to know why she turned out the way she did, and we get some more details as to what she use to be.
I loved this redemption story, as I always kind of like Barbara, it was nice to get a story about her. We first meet her in book one, and you know right then she was something different, and as the books goes on, you get more and more info on her, but never the full story. So yeah, my interest was peeked more about her than the others. So to say I loved this story is an understatement. It flowed nicely, it had action, mystery, and misdirection. Honestly I didn't know who was going to betray who, until the was revealed. I loved that, cause it kept you guessing and fully engaged. The ending was sweet, very warming, and it also gives you a hint of whats to come in the next instalment. I'm super excited and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
So to end, as I don't want to spoil this wonderful piece of fiction, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency # 5) By: Heather Silvio 5 out of 5 stars
The story Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency # 5) by Heather Silvio is the next wonderful book in a series that I have loved since I read the first story. This book pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Barbara Knollman and Liam Collins. Barbara is a demon. She has precognitive abilities that have saved her from an attack. She then finds herself helping out Liam in trying to stop a supernatural being. Liam is an angel. He has gotten Barbara to team up with the Paranormal Talent Agency. Will they be able to stop the supernatural being? Will Barbara find herself opening up her heart to love? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about the additional characters. Most are familiar as they have been brought forward from the other stories. I have always loved books that include the paranormal and this is a very good example of the reason why. The author has created an interesting and entertaining story with unforgettable characters. This is a book I would highly recommend reading.
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio. This is the 5th installment in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series and I would recommend reading them in order. This one is the story of Barbara Knollman a current City Council member in Las Vegas who is running for Mayor with the help of Lynn Fox her Campaign Manager. Barbara is a Demon who has precognitive powers so she sees someone is coming for her and the other candidates and this in turn causes her to be both target & suspect. Enter Liam Collins a Angel who has asked Barbara for her help to stop a Supernatural determined to take control of the Paranormal World no matter the cost. While Barbara is accused of murder she doesn't really see a way out of helping Liam and there's also the problem of him being super cute. Sparks fly. Will Barbara and Liam be able to save the Supernatural world and will they stop the killer in time. Will Liam and Barbara test the "love" waters between Demon and Angel? Read this awesome story to find out!
I give Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio, 4 stars.
Barbara is a demon and mayor of Las Vegas. She has done many things to get and stay in this position, and she is determined to stay at the top. Besides her visions told her this is so, right? But she can no longer trust her interpretation of these visions. Plus there is someone in town who will literally do anything to win the election. Can they be stopped and at if so, at what cost? Will her former lover who reappears in her life give her a second chance? Is that what she really wants?
I have read every book in this series and I love how every one of them is completely different, yet has a feeling of cohesiveness. Barbara is a much more complex character than I ever thought before. The other characters are back too, which makes it even more enjoyable. The storyline is also interesting and intriguing. Is the bad guy who you think? If so, why? You will be kept guessing until the end.
If you enjoy paranormal cozy mystery with romance, I highly recommend this book and series.
Once again we;re in Las Vegas peeking in on Barbara the demon. She;s a candidate for mayor. She is preparing to go to the candidates debate. But she has a premonition which shows her not boarding the bus. She stays behind only to find out that the bus was in an accident and all on board killed. She;s interrogated by the LV detective and told she is a suspect as well as the other candidate. At home later she is met by her old boyfriend, Liam. He enlists her help after letting her know with his investigation he knows that Mark is the one responsible. Now Barbara is once again thrown in with the Paralegal Talent Agency members. The race is on to prove who did the deed while staying alive. Fantastic story in this series. The reader follows the disjointed troupe as they investigate and chase down the one responsible. Prepare to be enthralled!

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency #5) By Heather Silvio 5 stars
I really am enjoying this series and I think that this is my favourite book so far! I love how original the stories are, each one connected but also so different. The author’s writing is flawless and an absolute pleasure to read. Her storylines are imaginative and her characters creative and realistic. In book 5 we see Barbara, a demon and very entertaining character team up with Liam, an angel to try and find out what is going on and clear her name! I really liked Barbara and Liam, I thought they worked well together and had a great amount of chemistry! I still love that hint in the background of these stories that something extra exciting is going to be coming along soon and because of this I would definitely recommend that the stories are read in order! They are all short entertaining reads so any reader would not be disappointed! I am very excited to see where the author takes the next book!!
I hadn’t read the other 4 books to this series and I guess that you could read this book as a standalone if it isn’t I didn’t have any problems understanding this story and it’s book 5 of the Paranormal Talent Agency. Barbara Knollman is a demon who is going for mayor in Las Vegas she has premonitions and while sitting in her office waiting for the bus to take her to the next debate she has a premonition to not get on the bus so Barbara goes in her limo instead. Not even half an hour later Barbara is contacted by one of her other candidates Mark, the bus had crashed killing everyone on board. Barbara is accused of interfering with the bus it was no accident then her ex Liam who is an angel shows up at her door he helps her find out who the actual culprit is but she knows that it was Mark she just has to prove it. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Urban Dictionary defines "Jumping the Shark" as; The beginning of the end. Something is said to have "jumped the shark" when it has reached its peak and begun a downhill slide to mediocrity or oblivion. (For further explanation please find S5E1 of Happy Days)
JUMPING THE SHARK is the fifth and the penultimate episode of the Paranormal Talent Agency. I disagree with title because I do not think this series has reached its peak - I feel like it could be one of those "cozy type series" that go on and on, but I also thought that about Happy Days so what do I know turns out Joanie didn't love Chachi, but I digress...
As with the first four episodes in this series, this story had a sense of humor about itself, weaved a delightful tale of demons and supernatural underworld and was a quick fun read on a Sunday Afternoon.
I recommend this series, this book and this author.
Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series. I have enjoyed this series from the start and recommend reading from book 1 first. This can be read as a standalone book but the backstory to the underlying story would be missing. This book gets finally into Barbara Knollman who is a demon in charge of the paranormal underworld in Vegas for years. She is up for reelection but things are not going as expected. Also, to throw her off even more Liam steps back into her life. He is an angel who has a past with her. I think the characters are fun and overall this is a lighthearted read. Each story is like an episode so there is closure on a primary story but with an underlying story that is carrying through all the books. I have become a fan of Heather Silvio because of this series and am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.
Jumping the Shark is the 5th book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and I thought it was a great read. I was pulled in from page one and it kept me interested throughout the whole thing. This book was about a demon named Barbara and her run for mayor. In her current position she is in control of the paranormal underground in the Vegas region. But a different supernatural won as mayor she could possibly lose that position. On her way to a debate, Barbara learns that the bus she was meant to be on was involved in an accident and no one survived. Was someone trying to kill the people in the running for mayor or was it purely an accident? She decides to work with the Paranormal Talent Agency to try and prove that it wasn’t an accident after all. I enjoyed this book and thought it was a good addition to the series. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Jumping The Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency #5) by Heather Silvio 4 Stars
I was kind of hesitant to read this book once I found out it was about Barbara Knollman. I haven’t liked her in the other books but I love this story. Honestly, I think this might be my favourite book in this series. The author threw in many surprises that I didn’t see coming which added so much depth to the main character.
Barbara is running for mayor of Las Vegas and it’s close to election day. Something happens which makes her realize that her life is in danger. Grudgingly she teams up with the Paranormal Talent Agency to find out who is after her.
I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to ruin anything. It’s another book filled with suspense, danger, romance and many surprises. I love this series!
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio is a short and quick quirky paranormal romance story. This series is unique and original and you really need to read all the books in order. I’ve said it before but I will say it again Heather has cleverly mastered this genre and has provided stories that you just don’t want to put down. There is a well developed plot with twists and turns and Heather’s use of suspense keeps you reading to find out what happens.
Barbara loves the power she has and has forsaken love to get where she is but is she truly evil? Perhaps there is a way she can have it all but can she truly change?
I won’t share any of the details because you will have to read this book to find out but I look forward to reading the next and last book in this series.
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio
5-Stars
Jumping The Shark is an excellent addition to the Paranormal Talent Agency series. I have been looking forward to the book featuring Barbara as the main character. I have been curious about her from the start of the series and was very excited to dive deeper into her character. The author did an excellent job on her and the supporting characters. As always I really enjoyed her writing and found the storyline easy to follow. The setting for each scene was also easy to visualize and place myself in as if I were also a character. I absolutely love this series and really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it and would like to mention that it can be read as a standalone. It does feature characters from the other books but it focuses on a different person and situation with each book.
5 Star Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio is a fast paced quick read that will hook you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. I highly suggest reading this whole series .This is a story about Barbara and Liam. She’s a demon and she has precognitive abilities that saved her from an attack. Liam is a agent and has gotten her teamed up with Paranormal Talent Agency. Can they help stop the supernatural being? Can she find love by opening up her heart? I've been looking forward to this story for awhile, ever since I first read about Barbara Knollman I knew there was more to her than what was being portrayed.
This part of the series has now become my favorite so far and I want to make sure I mention that yes you could read these all as standalones but don't..Seriously there is an ongoing story going on here and this one has me wanting the next one more than any of the others did.
I love how this author writes her stories and she has now sold me on a genre that I don't normally choose. I'm not going to give away any of the details in this review, just read it. It moves quickly and I read it in one sitting and was seriously sad that I don't have the next part in my hands yet.
Loved it and can not wait for more from not only this series but from this author.
Jumping the Shark Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5 By Heather Silvio ☆☆☆☆☆ Angel vs Devil at its best.
Barbara Knoll man is not only the Devil. She is also trying to protect the paranormal world as well as the human world. While running for office, things happen that threaten her candidacy. The bus she was supposed to be on crashed, killing the other candidates. Now with only 2 running, she is both target and suspect. So who is really the suspect? Can she stop them? Can she save the paranormal world?
Heather Silvio is the mind behind this paranormal suspense novel. This is the fifth book in her series. I suggest you read them in order, and get caught up. The book contains suspense as well as romance. You will love her characters as they make this series happen. This book has become my new favorite, from Heather Silvio. I am looking forward to the next in her series.
There was nothing about this book that was even remotely what I was expecting. Barbara has been a fascinating character throughout this series: the villain you love to hate. With all the little tidbits that have been dropped about her powers and her plans, I was ecstatic to finally get this chance to see the situation from her point of view. Liam was the complete shocker. And with him, what he knows about the councilwoman’s origins. I loved the message in this book of your choices determine your fate, and that bad choices aren’t always a life sentence. The breadcrumbs left for us about the final book in this trilogy makes me extremely antsy to see what the author has in store for us next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Jumping the Shark is the fifth episodic book in the world of the Paranormal Talent Agency. This book begins as a demon named Barbara Knollman runs as a mayoral candidate for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara is currently the head of the city council and her position allows for her to have control the cities paranormal underworld. However, to maintain control she needs to win the current mayoral race. This cute story involves a series of mysteries that Barbara must solve to make the right decisions. This book’s characters are interesting, quirky, flawed, and fun to read. This is a cute, easy to read, feel good, sweet paranormal romance story that reminds us that the word election has more than one meaning. Jumping the Shark is a tale of paranormal elections.
This is book five in the series and, while it stands pretty well on its own, it will make a lot more sense if the stories are read in order.
The story is a paranormal cozy mystery set in Las Vegas, which seems the perfect place for paranormal characters to blend in. I have been enjoying this series from the start and that has not changed. The story is well written with lots of interesting characters and a good dose of humor. Through in a mystery with several twists and turns and you have the formula for some fun light entertainment. A very nice weekend read.
Highly recommended.
