What they deserve?
This book is about Lyla and Jaxson. Their story was intense at times. It was hot and steamy, with different emotions and dramas entwined throughout. There are some regrets. Was it a mistake? But maybe they’re just not good for each other, and perhaps they both deserve something different. I felt like he took advantage, and she wasn’t strong enough for herself.
This was my first time reading anything written by this author, so I didn’t know what to expect. I will still read her other work to find some more likable and relatable characters.

When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Marie York; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Different
I liked how he was the one who was upset. The fact that he still blamed himself over and over. Then She came into his life and made him feel like he could finally find love.

The se* was hot, the plot was good. Lyla and Jaxon definitely piqued my intrigue. Had to know his reasons and secrets. I couldn't sleep until I knew.

3-1/2 stars.
Lyla and Jaxon meet in college. After a one-year night stand, they meet again. I do not consider Jaxon mysterious. He is haunted buns tragedy in his past. He continues to hurt Lyla. I wish Lyla had stood up to him more when he did mean things to push here away.

Life isn't perfect and neither are relationships. This book proves that point. A romantic story that keeps you wondering why he keeps running away. LOVED IT!
