An explanation of the dream-interpretation principles of the Native American medicine wheel.
The authors of The Medicine Wheel explore different views of dreamtime, both historic and contemporary, to provide an explanation of the dream-interpretation principles of the Native American medicine wheel—and a new framework for working with dreams.
I've had this book since 1994, the cover is barely holding on, the pages have yellowed with age. This book has an obviously Indigenous (Native American) flavor to it, hence the "Medicine Wheel" in the title (not sure why that was a surprise to some folks). Anyways, the book is good but not as in-depth as I would have liked.
I enjoyed the first two-thirds of it, but the symbol dictionary was useless in interpreting my dreams because it was limited to symbols related to the medicine wheel (colors, animals, elements, plants.)
