Lucas left home for good and believes he is safe at Club Dyavol. His whole world is now Konstantin’s world. But though he trusts Konstantin completely, the more time he spends in the club, the more questions he has about those that call it home.
Count Konstantin “the Wolf” Volk believes that now that Lucas is under his full protection at the club that Lucas is safe. Except he could not be more wrong. By being completely within Konstantin’s world, Lucas becomes the focus of every friend and foe Konstantin has.
NOTE: THIS NOVELLA SERIES HAS CLIFFHANGERS! EVERY BOOK WILL END ON ONE. THAT'S MY NATURAL WRITING STYLE. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE CLIFFHANGERS, WAIT UNTIL THE WHOLE SERIES IS PUBLISHED TO READ. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!
X. Aratare writes gay paranormal romance with witches, vampires, magic, and mystery. Though some books may venture into dark territory, they will all have happy endings.
This little serial keeps getting better and better. The plot twists keep me coming back for more. Every character has a little bit of mystery about them that, it seems, author likes to unveil one chapter at a time. I love that little tidbits here and there make me look at the same person or event differently.
Lucas and Konstantin has grown closer both physically and emotionally, except now Konstantin knows why. Now he has a difficult choice to make: to keep Lucas's innocence about the world or rip the band aid let him know what's really going on. But Lucas has secrets of his own that will bring everything out in the open. I loved all the build up to their talk. There was so much going on, and in the end Lucas's was just I expected - understanding, caring and strong.
There were couple of things that I didn't see coming, and the end was pretty chilling and of course a huge cliffhanger, but that just whetted my appetite. I will wait patiently for the next one, he-he...
In this 5th part, Lucas realizes that he is the son of a powerful witch called Gaia and that Konstantin and the others at Club Dyavol are vampires, but instead of running away, it all makes sense for him.
His relationship with Konstantin has improved since he first met him and I’m glad I kept reading the series because it’s slowly getting better. Konstantin is such a good, well-built character that I can’t help but to love him. Vampires are often seen as sexy, mysterious, powerful and sometimes they’re even portrayed as people of great knowledge. He fits the description perfectly.
Lizzie is still a fav character of mine and I got the feeling that Xavier is the Nomad in disguise, which kinda makes it funny to me.
I’m intrigued of what will happen next with the Coven and the Vampires, so I’ll be reading the 6th book as soon as I can.
Continuing to enjoy this one, though I'm finding the narrative style is starting to grate a bit. The author often skips ahead a scene and then has the character remember the scene that we just skipped, which is such an odd choice and often feels quite clunky. They're writing from two POVs and sometimes the timelines overlap since the characters are often not together. This is totally fine but the way they go about it is kind of odd sometimes, like they think this is more confusing for the reader than it is, and so they do some weird narrative over-correcting. Lucus also continues to make frustrating choices clearly against his own safety, and I'm hoping now that he is officially in the know that he'll stop going off on his own, but I kind of doubt it...
I feel like there's nothing to say about this series/serial that I haven't said already. Plus, I'm bingeing these all in a row, so they're starting to blend together. But this story continues to be enjoyable, especially as the plot about the vampires and witches and their plans for The Nomad thickens! I'm curious to see how certain things are going to affect certain characters.

I now have KU on Amazon so I plan on finishing up the series as the books come out! Still excellent quality story telling and I still adore the characters. Well worth getting into the series! 5 🌟! ❤️
I loved the first 3 installment of this series. The plot was rolling, the characters were intresting...untill book 4. There when things get a bit more superficial, but i shurged it off and said let's see the next one. Well it's disapointing at least... First Lucas, who claims thet he can manage by himself, but up untill now, we don't see nothing like that statement to be true. He relies on Konstantin all the time, and even on a support of an 11 year old girl, that we know that she is more then 11, but Lucas does not! Than in this book he became the blushing virgin who very easily accept all the "gifts" that he recieves, and doesn't seem to bother him Arsene's not so subtile hints that he is Konstantins kept boy. So yeah ... all lip work Then there is Konstantin who is this fierce vampire, who fears no one, but in this book him also became a very superficial character, when he grants Arsene the right to invite any one he please into Dyavol. To a known enemy, who wants to kill his Sire ... right . The dialogue became shallow. And between ...? To repetitive ... I'm sorry for this series bcs it had potentionals for an amazing story, but at this point i can't see myself to continue reading it.
I thank the author for the effort and hard work put into this books!
Things start unveiling and secrets being revealed. It's truly interesting.
I was getting bored of Lucas not knowing a thing about what's happening and I hope he opening his eyes to some truths makes the story a lot more intense!
I'm captivated by some characters, specially by the Nomad, Lizzie and Xavier. And I want to see more of Lucas and Konstantin together. This two are so hot together!
Just as everything comes out to the open, and more plots are made. Eek. I’m so glad we finally got to this point but man on man can we bubble wrap both of them so they will be ok? Or maybe I don’t know and LISTEN when told not to go out without an escort. Smh. Smexy hawtness was had and I still don’t know what to think of prof x. On we go to the next.
Ok, you go in knowing its going to end on a cliffhanger but we are now on book 5 and I feel that we are not really progressing much. I am not sure how many books in this series are planned, if you don't like cliffhangers then wait fir the entire series to be available before starting. I had a WTF moment at the beginning. I was reading and thinking that I really didn't remember what they were discussing happening and it took me out of the book because I just kept thinking 'what'?? We now have to wait until Feb for book 6.
I love how this gets better and better story wise. The pace sometimes is a little too slow for me but overall I like this series a lot and this was just another good one.
I was very upset when I listened to book one, only to find out I’d have to buy and listen to 7 books to hear a conclusion. 7x$18 for one story. However, the story is very good and they are well written The fact that the narrator was the BEST I ever listened to: Ethan Holtan, I settled in and enjoyed every moment. His ability to create different voices and so many accents was pure pleasure. I’ve listened to many, many bad narrators. So, after finishing Book 5 I was worried that I only had two books left.
Then I started Book 6. A new narrator????? What the actual what???? He can’t even pronounce the Club’s name. And he can’t do the accents. I feel like I’ve lost Konstantine forever. And when he plays Lukas, I hear Woody Allen!!!! Omfg! Is that ever a turn off.
Why would they do that? I committed time and money based on the first narrator. All my excitement over the series is gone. Yeah, Book 6 was good, and I have to listen to one more story to get to the conclusion. Big deal.
Now, to take a story and force readers to buy all the books just to hear one story seems greedy to me. I had to wrestle with my thoughts about spending on a 5 hour audiobook the same amount as I would usually pay for a 10+ hour audiobook. So changing narrators is saying to me that the producer/author only wants the money and doesn’t care about the listener, knowing that after 5 books the listener is hooked.
I won’t read anymore series.

About the Book: Lucas is trying to settle in Club Dyavol as his new home. All would be great and easy were it not for unfinished business outside the club. It seems he only needs to take a step through the door and trouble comes running. All the while Konstantin is trying to resist the perfect temptation to turn Lucas into a vampire. Truly, all the pros, and not a single con against it. But due to witches constantly trying to get in through Club Dyavol’s doors, his suspicions are up, and so he must resist.
My Opinion: Witches are coming in rows, and I don’t really get why they started doing that. It’s clear why they’re doing it now though. But there’s apparent and growing gaps in logic scattered through the plot, filled with angry, stupid, and ever plotting characters. Which isn’t a bad thing until they start acting completely irrationally, to a point where you can’t even write it down as natural behavior. And yet… The books are easy to read, and are entertaining enough in a gay vampires telenovella kind of way. So, I remain.
These aren’t bad books, really. 3 out of 5. Might be easier to real all as one big book though.
Things are definitely heating up. Lucas is finally finding out that club Dyavol is more than a physical pleasure house. He’s also finding out what everyone in the club is, including his sweet young friend Lizzy. When Lizzy and Xiaver went to speak to Lucas’ mom she didn’t want to hear it. Without Lucas knowing that they had visited her, he decides to go and get his stuff, along with talking to her. When she admits she does believe what her husband, the Sheriff, had done to Lucas, she tells him she forgives her new husband. That was when Lucas realizes this is the end of his relationship with his mom. He knows she will never put him first. Now can Lucas and Konstantin protect each other when the forces of Vampire and Witch are coming for Lucas as well as Konstantin? I guess we will see in the next book. More mystery, mayhem, and chaos I’m sure is coming up. A 5 star ⭐️ rating for Book 5.
So now that Lucas has finally decided to move in with Konstantin every thing is fine! Right? RIGHT? Yah, nope.
Naturally, the transition is not completely smooth. From Lucas wanting to retrieve his things from home going awry in unexpected ways to encounters with witches and revealed secrets about who and what Lucas actually is nothing is easy or set yet. There is a possible hopeful future but it holds a BIG cost and no one wants to pay that right now. Things are winding up to be worse rather than better and everything ends just as up in the air as always......but there is a definite hint of the end in sight. Konstantin is learning the essentials, Lucas is realizing the world he is in, and all of the plans with Gaia and the Nomad are sure to come to a head, but likely not the way they wanted or planned. Looking forward to the next!
Vampires and witches and magic! Sweet, spicy, bit of drama, bit of angst, a lovely light read. There are 7 small installments to this novel, each ending with a cliffhanger but the story is complete, so you can roll right on to the next one. The pacing is so good on these books, I reached the end of each too quickly and I’m always left wanting more. That’s the sign of a great book.
Each book is easily a 4-5 with the overall series at 5 stars. Character development was great, romance was insta-love done really well, bad guys were well developed, some light twists, too. Overall a super series that I think of fondly even weeks after reading it.
SOOO.... This series 1 - Ends each book in a cliff hanger of sorts one way or the other 2 - Each book of the story gets better and BETTER! So much so I did one of my ultimate no-nos': I read straight through to the end of book 6 from book #2 without stopping... and adding to my Goodreads List. Bad of me, I know, But, but it was a MUST, I tell ya. A MUST! Sadly, now I must wait til the next. 7 books are to be in the series. Gah, the pressure.
3 - It is officially going on my 'all time favorites series' shelf
