My name is Christopher Greyson, and I am a storyteller.

Since I was a little boy, I have dreamt of what mystery was around the next corner, or what quest lay over the hill. If I couldn’t find an adventure, one usually found me, and now I weave those tales into my stories. I am blessed to have written over twenty novels.

My love for tales of mystery and adventure began with my grandfather, a decorated World War I hero. I will never forget being introduced to his friend, a WWI pilot who flew across the skies at the same time as the feared, legendary Red Baron. My love of reading and storytelling eventually led me to write and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.

I love to hear from my readers. Sincerely,

Christopher Greyson

Finn and Annie are my favorite mini-mystery series bar none! I absolutely adore them! Finn is an insurance investigator; Annie is his photographer. He has a prosthetic leg (war injury), she is deaf (but an excellent lip reader. Together, in a very intelligent and often humorous way, they set out to investigate/solve cases of insurance fraud.

This is a whole series, if you haven’t read them, I HIGHLY recommend it - starting with #1 (to get the background on the characters). They are completely enjoyable, completely uplifting, and extremely satisfying reads.
Don’t be fooled by the books covers, they are not simplistic. I just love them and wholeheartedly look forward to my next in the series!

Sweet as all the other Finn and Annie mysteries. (If you want to read about ripping bodices and sweaty bodies then these books aren’t that.)

Easy and quick to read and also satisfying.

The Case of the Disappearing Diamond: A Mini Mystery Series (The Adventures of Finn and Annie Book 5 [Kindle Unlimited] — Christopher Greyson (4 chapters) April 6, 2020

This case was interesting for its diversity and looking at things from a different view point.

I have liked this series from the gig because of the diversity. This throws in a maid and missing jewelry. How it gets solved is easy to understand and per usual the reader is able to figure it out along with Finn.

A subplot is going on here and me likey!

Four stars.

The Case of the Disappearing Diamond

Good book. Good plot and characters. Finn and Annie are almost too good to be true. No conflict unless it is from the supporting characters. Good book just too short, even for a short story.

So sweet and pure we get to hear Annie's voice

I find Finn a bit too hard sonetimes. Annie has such joy in life! I find her back story gives a bit of spice in the gumbo. Annie still finds the rainbow on the sunny day.

Great short story

I love this series of short stories from this author. Just long enough to get your teeth into, but short enough to read while having a coffee break. Can’t wait to read the next one.

T ball and diamonds

Loved it but again much too short as under 70% of the page count. The characters though are really growing on me and it's great to see the growing attraction between them as well as the acceptance her children have for Finn.
She's overslept and now her children are keeping him company as she rushes around to get dressed. Their case is an insurance claim of the loss of a diamond ring. The owner has not only filed a claim but is urging the police to arrest her new maid whom she has subsequently fired. The maid is Spanish and the two believe her when she claims that she didn't steal the ring or the pair of earrings that disappeared a couple of days before the ring. The owner is abrupt, arrogant and obnoxious. Can Finn work out what happened? Will the owner retract the claim and the police report? Plus now Annie has to go to her son's first T ball game and worse not only Finn but her ex-husband have both said that they will attend. What happens?

From Annie’s POV, Finn is the opposite of her ex husband. When she became deaf at age 14, her mother told her to grab the first guy interested in her, or she’d be alone. She did, and he was no good, divorcing her while he was in jail. Finn is brilliant, respects her, includes her in their work, values her, and reins in his temper.

Even when they face a woman claiming her maid stole her diamond ring, without any proof, he manages to question her in an even tone. He asks about some flower petals and learns she has a robotic vacuum. In the dust bag, he finds the woman’s ring and a pair of earrings she also said went missing.

Later, he encourages her son at T-ball, while her ex puts him down. Nice relationship forming.

Great Short Mysteries

I like these short mysteries. They are so simple, but they are heart warming and moral. A nice, clean series with down to earth characters.

The Finn and Annie shorts are the perfect length. And you can read them over and over.

Wonderful writing.

This was a page turner for me. Only thing was the short little books. Not sure why in this format. Don’t matter. Hope the story continues on in a kindle book.
