Out here beyond the wall, men take what they want.
I was warned. I was told what the savages in the wildlands outside the city would do to a girl like me, how they would ravish me, share me, and shame me. I should have listened...
Once I left home, I didn't even last a day on my own. With a bear set on making me his next meal, it took four fearsome beasts of men to save my life. But the rugged, battle-hardened brutes who rescued me have no intention of letting me go. I belong to them now, and they are more than ready to strip me bare and punish me as sternly as needed to teach me my place.
They have claimed me, but they will not merely use my virgin body for their pleasure. They are going to breed me. They'll take me hard and often, sometimes one at a time and sometimes several at once until they've mastered me so completely that I can't help begging for more.
Publisher's Note: Savages includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Savages: A Reverse Harem Romance is set in a post apocalyptic world. Riley is a young innocent girl living within the city walls. Set in an isolated world where nobody leaves because nobody ever returns. Living with her mother, Riley can no longer deny her urge to leave and experience what is beyond the walls after being stifled all her life.
Only expecting to venture out for the day, Riley loses all sense of time until she encounters a bear. With her imminent death upon her she is rescued by four savages, Maverick, Hans, Ice and Stryker. What she soon realises is that she is theirs now. ‘We bled for you, we defended your life, sacrificed flesh and soul for you. You are ours.’
There is no returning to city as her life is now with her primitive savages and these boys need servicing... How does Riley deal with a few spankings and group sex? Well she manages just fine, that filthy minx!
I have no problems with domestic discipline, sexual content or spankings. In fact, that’s why I thought this might be a fun read. What occurred here though with the utter lack of respect for this woman, her wants and what she would choose for herself left me horrified. What pissed me off more was the attempt by the author later in he book to reframe kidnapping, dubious consent and violation of her right to make decisions about her body as teaching her what her body is for, fulfilling her purpose as a woman and them giving her back her birth right. Say what now. I had to click on about this book because I didn’t want to believe this was actually written by a woman. I am so not the I am woman hear me roar type which made it all the more interesting that I had the strong response I had. I didn’t really see a critical difference between them and her father. I didn’t get why she would love them. Was sex really enough to get her to change her mind about them? To never return to your mother who raised you and allow her to believe you are dead? To forget that you are treated like property without the ability to make any decisions about yourself? Really? Her feelings for them, her inaction and reactions seemed disingenuous. She was little better than a sex slave to them which made it all the more eyebrow raising when they called someone else that. They certainly weren’t treating her like the mate they said she was. This book made me want to throw my iPad and build a time machine to get the time back I used reading this book. I want to say more but I’ve already said too much.
First time I’m writing a review. Even when I hate a book I usually just let it go. But this time around I want to prevent other people wasting time of their life as I did. So proceed only if you’re okay with a book that glorifies lack of consent, justifying it as being the new role of women on a post apocalyptic world. For me, this book defends rape under an alpha male slogan. Sure... it’s just a story. But the underlying opinion behind the story is not worth it. Not picking up any material from this author ever again. :/
This was such a sexist book, just because you add alpha males and dominance to it and say she was pleased after she was practically Raped does not make it okay. This book was horrendous. One of the things that bothered me the most was the fact they forcibly took the device out of her arm, that's BEYOND messed up. We're trying to teach a society of future generations that "no means no" and here you are telling them that if they think it's for the betterment of another person they can do what they want to them. She had a valid reason for not wanting the implant out, believe me, I completely understand painful bad pms, and she was not ready for a child either and they didn't care. They just told her she had attitude problems and spanked her, RIDICULOUS. If I could give less than one star I would, I hate this book.
This was a great read. Set in a post apocalyptic world where people live in enclosed cities Riley learns what’s really waiting out in the wilderness and discovers it's definitely more than she expected.
Maverick, Ice, Hans and Stryker, who save her from a bear & claim Riley as their own... It's reverse harem but no M/M and it's definitely borders on a non/con book. I did really enjoy it though.
I wish I would have read some reviews before reading this book. I feel like this is a draft for a larger, fully developed novel. They use this girl as a cum dump sex toy - not as a person. There is no change that would suggest that their opinion of her happens - only a few sentences that give off the "well... maybe .... if you're a good slave and have no self esteem". The character development didn't happen and there is no true growth in any of the characters
Warning people of spanking and sexual content is not the same as warning that there is a lack of consent and I would go as far as to say its spanking as a punishment not sexual pleasure. To teach her compliance she is forced to have anal sex and people think this is erotic? I don't mind dark romance and have read many books that come with trigger warnings but I really did not like the way this was written.

They have come near the city to look for a mate💕. All four of them will be her mate💘 and take her home to their tribe!
ARC Received from Booksprout🌱 I also got the book with KU.
This interesting sci-fi book is hard core adult reading. I'm not really keen on reverse harem romances💘, but the idea of a brave new world🌍 was fun and thought provoking. This is a short, well written book📕 that can be read in a couple of hours. With four mates🐺🐺🐺🐺, Riley💃💋 is kept extremely busy!
Not sure what all the hate is about - short but entertaining and surely the reason we read is for entertainment and to escape the real world? I enjoyed it. Some parts were predictable, Riley annoyed me at times when she was acting petulant and a lot of her parts were incredibly cheesey, but again, I enjoyed it!
This story doesn’t flow, it’s completely inconsistent. The heroine begs to go back to the city then when one of the men wants to take her to the city she begs to stay with them. Yet she still hates them? Then she accidentally kills a bear (a mark of honor to them) and she’s adamant it was an accident and didn’t mean anything. Next chapter she’s saying that since she killed a bear she can survive the hard trials of the tribe?? They tell her they’re going to make her get the tribal tattoos of the tribe and she fights against it, begs them not to do it. Then, a chapter later she begs them to let her get the damn tattoo? It’s like there are two completely contradictory books that were poorly merged into one story. Not to mention how the men see the heroine as an object (and blatantly tell her that to her face) throughout the entire book. It’s not resolved in any way and they openly see her as an object to the very end 🤦♀️
I only finished it because I felt like I had to. It was just bad. Cheesy language, over-sexualized not enough plot, bad. The characters constantly contradict themselves. The heroine goes back and forth so many times on whether or not she was going to leave. When you think she's FINALLY made up her mind, she hasn't. At one moment the leader was too injured to hold the heroin and next they were having sex, him holding her close. The the heroin would be holding the leather strap in her mouth at one point and then later it disappears so she can hold something else there. The author would start to build a picture in your mind of a scene or the makings of a character's thoughts and then in the next moment tear them down. So you have to start all over again in a new direction. It made me tired and disappointed. I won't read another from this author.
I just don't get all the good reviews. The writing was fine, and the smut was interesting, but damn was it an uncomfortable book to read. I picked this up because I can enjoy discipline and stricter sexual relationships if well (and thoughtfully) written.
This was not that. The main character's desires never seem to matter, certainly not to the men she is supposed to be building relationships with. And the make it worse, the book seems to try to justify it as saying her body wanted it, even if she didn't, or didn't know she did. Excuse me, what? Are you really trying to tell me that a girl who doesn't even know what sex is (truly) will just be totally calm and go with it as it happens? I just... find it very hard to believe.

Well reverse harem is my favorite. A lit of taboo. But this. I read it but jeeze, I'm all for punishments when deserved. One minute she is killing a bear the next getting raped in the butt for yelling at them just wtf. No thanks.
Riley has heard all the exciting tales about the outside from her father since she was very small. He would lead the adventures with people who would travel outside the city walls. That all came to a stop nine years ago when her father didn't come back. Her mother swears he's dead, but Riley believes he's still alive. She just wants to go for a walk and explore with every intention of returning. In her excitement, she runs through the woods enchanted with the world be alive with all the insects and trees when she feels the ground rumble. A bear is charging. It's bigger than anything she's seen in books and she's frozen until she is shoved out of the way and there are four large men, Maverick, Ice, Hans, and Stryker, with spears to protect her. The leader, Maverick, is ripped open but eventually the bear leaves. Riley offers to help him yet he refuses. After thanking them for saving her, she tries to explain she must leave but is informed they have already bled for her. Defended her life from the bear spirit and sacrificed flesh and forest soul. Therefore, she belonged to them for whatever they please. There would be no returning to the city. But is she strong enough to endure what is to come? Loki Renard has given us a story that consists of a madman with no fear of pain, a cruel dominant sadist, a city runaway, a mere hunter, and a lost little girl. Take those ingredients, add Loki Renard's flair of wrapping them into a storyline with a plot that is so intriguing to keep your interest and then infuse it with a sexual chemistry that only fate and nature can drive. This is the remarkable tale I've just finished. Each character has it's own idiosyncrasies, strengths, and weaknesses which compliment and build off the next. The world described is one of raw power and delicate beauty that made me open my mind to wonders often taken for granted or overlooked. This is one book I can say completely took me by surprise in a good way and am so glad I didn't miss it. Congratulations on an outstanding book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Riley is a City Dweller, her people live in crowded highrises within the City walls. Riley is protected from the world, only seeing the walls within her small residence and given meds by her mother to keep her quiet and unexcitable. Beyond the big city walls, there are The Wilds where people that venture beyond the city walls, never return. Riley reads, but she really wants to go outside. Finally as Riley has not been taking the meds her mother makes her take, Riley plans and excutes her escape. Having turned 19, she can legally leave the city, Riley finds herself alone in the Wilds after leaving the city through the Wall and she walks alone until many hours later, she comes across a bear and it wants her, it runs to her but just as it almost reaches her, a man crashes into her and keeps the bear from harming her. Riley is now surrounded by 4 Wild men, Maverick seems to be the leader, Hans, Stryker and Ice all look upon her as their gift and they lay claim to her. The men explain that she is now theirs to do as they wish, and they wish a lot! The men eventually bring her to their camp where Riley's innocence is taken and she has to learn her place among the men that claimed her. Although Riley is an innocent in so many ways, she is willing to try and get along once she realizes she cannot leave them and will never go home. I enjoyed this exciting story with it's dystopian type world and it's magical-spiritual like elements to bring more interesting events to the story. Riley is innocent, true, but she is willing to learn and like most of her men, Ice not so much but he has potential. There is more exciting adventure when they finally make it back to the Tribe. I cannot reveal more, you will have to read for yourself, just know there is so much more that happens to Riley and her four hunter/ warriors aka Savages!
Riley is a city girl living in an ultra-safe, man-made cocoon. Experiencing almost no human interaction, she lives with her mother in a tiny apartment inside of a huge, towering building situated amongst numerous similar structures that all but block the sun. She exists in a drug-induced calm, within a cold, clean, safe, placid and dark environment. But, Riley craves more. She wants to feel the sun. She wants to walk on land, instead of a treadmill. So, bypassing her medication, she leaves her boring residence and exits through the city gates. Only intending to take a short walk and then return to the City, Riley encounters nature at its most fundamental. She experiences beauty and sunshine, and then is forced to face the danger from wild animals and uncivilized humans. When a bear attacks her, Riley is saved by 4 Savage men. Because they saved her life, she now belongs to them. Her old life is over. She can never return to the City. Instead, she must satisfy the needs and desires of her men.
In my opinion, this is a philosophically intense story, with touches of mysticism interlaced with sexual experiences. The 4 dominant men who saved and then claimed Riley, teach her about reality, sexuality, and male/female roles in their wild, uncivilized world. I found myself not only enjoying the characters and their interactions, but thinking deeply about the ideas presented to Riley.
If you want to know if Riley will ever be able to fit in, make a new life for herself with her 4 alpha male mates, and accept her differing circumstances and role in life, then you should read this book.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for SAVAGES: A Reverse Harem Romance written by Loki Renard and voluntarily reviewed this book. City girl Riley Jones is done with being stuck in the walls of her apartment, which she never gets to leave. She shares it with her mother, who is overly protective of her. But she has big plans - she is going for a walk in the wilds, beyond the walls which protect and encase the city. Right off, however, out on the other side, Riley runs into a great big bear and is fortunately saved by four muscular men sporting blue tattoos: Maverick, Hans, Ice and Stryker, the savages. Now, because they bled for her and saved her, she will belong to them. It is the law of the wild. They don’t take her back to the city as she asks. Her mother was SO right.
But as she gets to know each of her men, they teach her the ways of being a woman in their primitive & savage world as well as their beliefs. And life is not as simple as she realized…much is very hard-earned and there is an established strict set of rules and guidelines.
This menage relationship explores the spiritual and ritualistic influences of animals and the Wild people’s belief in how it guides them in their daily actions. This belief shapes the communities established, but we find that not all may be “native” to the land. Ice sets very high standards for the whole group and is the last to “thaw” towards Riley and her inclusion into their tribe.
Four hot guys all devoted to one woman? Where can I sign up to go out to the wilds and meet me some savages, because dayum.
Riley has lived all her life in a small apartment in a walled city. Before he disappeared, her father used to lead tours outside the walls and they would talk about what was going on outside. Now he's gone, she's stuck with her mother, and she's reached the point where she just can't stand it anymore. Today's the day that Riley is going to go take a walk outside of the walls.
Of course, it's never that easy. There's a bear as well as 4 hot, dominant guys named Stryker, Maverick, Hans, and Ice.
Of Riley's guys, I liked all of them, except for Ice. Well, it's not that I didn't like him so much as he made me really mad most of the time. He seemed to really not like Riley. She went out of her way to carry her own weight and she really didn't want him to think less of her, so she tried really hard, and it didn't seem like he wanted to give her any kind of credit for what she did. I liked Riley a lot. It takes a lot of courage to do what she did and then for her to have so many changes happen all at once. It must've been really hard on her.
Spoilers This is erotica at its finest. Set in the future where mother nature has taken all but over a small area that humans live inside a walled city protected from the outside and it's savaves. Riely wants adventure and decides to follow in her father's footsteps all be it a small stroll on the otherwise of the wall but things don't always go the way we plan. Attacked by a bear 4 savages of men come to her rescue but outside the walls a simple thank you is not enough of blood is spilt in saving someone they own you she is there's and there is nothing that she can do as she is taken back to there tribe. Lying to the man who seems to be the one callingthe shots because he doesn't like city people it is not a shock to learn it is her father who then tried to read her for another bride for his harem. It makes you wonder if he got lost in the first place outside the city as she as told but not taking it lightly they fight for the women that they love together and truthfully she wants nothing than to be there's.
I loved this book from Loki Renard honestly a greet book if you like something a little bit naughty a great hot summer read.

Dark history. I loved it, especially on the mystical side. I loved the union they have with nature and how they want her to have it, that she also shares it.
Initially, Riley is silly. She leaves her life without knowing very well what is beyond. She finds it difficult to adapt. But she also makes them see something they had not seen.
Maverick is the leader, the one who tells her that she belongs to them. And the one who gives it up that first time because he cares about her, he wants that she enjoys it.
Hans is charming. He treats her with affection from the first moment, takes care of her.
Ice hopes to see her mystical side, for her to accept that she is part of something bigger thank herself. Once she does, he respects and accepts her. He cares for her.
Stryker ... Riley thought he would help her more, because she's also from the city. He didn't, but he truly cares for her.
I didn't like them deciding for her, operating her without her approval. But I'm not surprised, it's what I expected.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Riley wants to know what it’s like in the wild. Her father once had tours into it but he never returned. Life in the city is dull and stiffing. So she decides to “explore.” She meets up with Maverick, Hans, Ice and Stryker. Four men that happen upon her when a bear almost took her down. But these men are not from the city and she is in for a rude awakening.
Riley knows nothing about sex or discipline. So we have Hans. He is the sweet heart of sorts. He is more of a kinder gentler lover. Maverick is tougher, the leader of the group. He has no intention of returning Riley, EVER. He shows her how sex can be in a more primal way. Stryker is the city boy and knows how life is like where Riley came from. He actually was fighting to send her back. But these guys are waking her up to what she has been missing. Ice is the last and is a bit scary. But I think all that is smoke and mirrors. Ok, yes he is a lot rougher and can be a bit harsher but I think he is more a Dom then any of them. And I KNEW one part was going to happen. But man what happened later, you have to read it. So much goin on.
I have to say this was an interesting read! I liked it and it was over too quickly, I read it Cover to cover in one sitting. Ice, one of her men was like the meanest to her, and how the hell my mind makes him my favorite I don’t know!!!! Each of the men brought a little something different and special to the relationship. These reverse harem books are fun, and this has a paranormal twist to it with spirit animals tied in with the primitive existence outside the walls. Outside the walls is a savage group of people! No way she would have succumbed to them as quickly in real life- but that’s why we read these books, real life takes to long to get to the sexy bits and doesn’t provide the constant FLOW of sexiness 😂. #Primitive #Breeding #Marking #Fighting #Hunting #ClanOfTheCaveBearVibe
This is a reverse harem set in a dystopian world. Riley lives a contained life in her mother's apartment. Her father left home to guide people outside of the city walls, and was not seen again. Riley has a yearning to see what is beyond the walls and feel a connection with her father. The world is completely different outside the walls, the people are different, and the rules they live by? Totally different, exciting, challenging. Riley is claimed by a clan of warriors who will protect her at all costs. The men all have distinct personalities and ideas about how their feisty, warrior woman should be treated. It was action-packed while the men hunted and then back at home. I enjoyed the characters, the action, and the way the story came full circle.
I am voluntarily leaving my opinion of a review copy of this book.
This is a story set in a strange world where city people are mindless followers or ghosts... And everyone outside the cities are wild and free. It is mostly in the wilds this story happens, with an animal attack by a bear that eventually leads to the bears death. Then the four hunters claim the girl... Its a bit disjointed for me because the girl who leaves the city is like a teenager, at first with the hunters she is like a child, then after she kills the bear she is like a young woman, after she gets to the tribe she seems more strong... The story has some erotic darkness but then they all start to care for her... I think the jealousy angle at the end could have been enhanced a little more with one woman actually telling her she was replaceable... But instead she just tried to run away... And Ice brings her back.
This story started out with an interesting scene between mother and daughter. I was taken by her determination and innocence that she wanted to just take a walk in the forest. It seemed like a good idea to me. Then the story took off and she finds herself in a situation she never imagined nor understood. The relationship she had with her captors was at times hard to read due to the harshness of it which was so removed from her upbringing and their unwillingness to understand her reactions to their treatment of her. The author did a wonderful job of helping the reader understand each character's point of view as the story progresses. The revaluation at the end of the book was shocking yet fit the story perfectly.
