The Enhancer #5

Enhancer 5

Sometimes it’s not the hero who is most at risk. Sometimes it’s the people he loves.
A superpowered villain is targeting Ty, and has turned his apartment building into a ruin. Ty has no idea if his friend and roommate still lives, and will do everything in his power to save him.

But that’s only the start. The villain's plans for Ty and those he loves will change their lives forever.

Warning and minor spoilers: This is book five. You know what they’re like by now. 18+, sex, violence, and nudity, all tastefully done. It includes a harem, very light gamelit elements, occasional bad language, and is set in a cyberpunk alternate future. You have been warned.

The Enhancer series was written to entertain. If you’re looking for a fun read, you’ve come to the right place.

I am fucking done!

This fifth book was the biggest let down since Transformers 5, yet what was I expecting. Look it's not like I enjoyed this series at all, but I thought atleast at the end Ty might do something useful. But that was too much for me to hope for. Imagine, five books in, Ty is still useless in his own story. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MAN. How? A superhero that constantly needs saving. THIS AUTHOR IS FUCKING RETARDED. The fact that Ty was stagnant with his power since book 2 is remarkable. This is utterly ridiculous. The author should refund everyone who gave him a chance. This has been the worst fantasy series I have ever read. This is the first time I hated a fantasy series to the point where I wanted a refund. Normally if I don't like a book, I can atleast find some enjoyment out of it (*** cough cough most romance books that I read) but this book had no redeeming factors.

Once again, we the reader ALWAYS AND I MEAN FUCKING ALWAYS have to watch Ty watch someone else be a hero. Jesus motherfucking christ. I am absolutely livid. I have no words. I just have no words. I will never ever read anything from this author again. His writing is terrible and should honestly quit.

Imagine in the fifth book, you take out Tempest, the only one who truly felt like a superhero and then have the fucking audacity to introduce a new girl. THIS IS SO FUCKING DISRESPECTFUL. THIS AUTHOR CAN"T EVEN TREAT HIS CHARACTERS WITH RESPECT. Who in their right mind would want to continue this series? Honestly author just give all of us back our money. We who chose to give a new writer a chance. And at the end you asking me to spread this book around. Hell fucking no. Let it stay in your mind my dude. You literally can't do anything with your story.

Maybe you wanted to write a story where you feel like the main character is always taking L's but that isn't interesting or exciting to read. Remember even if at the end of your story which maybe 10 books from now Ty actually is useful and starts to take some massive W's each book must contain its own narrative. Each book we have to see Ty making some developments or some positive impacts. Each book Ty has to take some small W's, without that you just leave the reader feeling angry and frustrated.

Treat each character with respect and give each character some modesty of impact to the story. As it stands now, Ty only impact in the story is that all the problems his team is facing is directly his fault. Dinah is relegated to being a horny deer half human that cooks a lot and Lilith only teleports. Then you wanna introduce more characters when the four that we have been with, never saw any sort of growth, never changed in anyway (except Tempest and even that is in a disrespectful way). This is Disrespectful not only to your characters but to your readers. Essentially you asking us the readers to spend money on your books when:

1.) You can't write a compelling main character.
2.) There is no character development for any of his characters especially his main character.
3.) The world building is so bare bones. We get the skeletons of a corrupted world but never get to experience anything.
4.)Fight scenes in this superhero book are a fucking joke. The main character is unable to do anything and I mean anything.
5.)The harem is flat and boring. Normally in a harem, we root for a best girl because they have something that is unique and interesting but in this one WHO FUCKING CARES.
6.)Each girl is just meant to save Ty's life and have sex with him. That is it. Nothing else!
7.)And you write some of the most anti-climatic boss scenes.

This author needs take a good look at the story he wrote, identify things that need addressing and write accordingly. Plus write a longer story to allow not only for your main character to have more room to do anything but to develop the world, the other characters around Ty and give us more insight on the Master and his minions. The author tends to ramble on everything and if we remove his rambling and repetition we will have a 20 page story.

I am not saying that you can't repeat yourself but do it less. Assume the reader was actually reading the story. I don't want the hear for the 100th time Tempest looks like a god, or Diane is beauty manifest or if only Ty can do something in this moment. We get it. Focus on the scene.

P.S
The refund thing is just said out of anger. I don't expect nor want the author to give us back anything except a book where Ty impacts on the story was finally positive and we finally felt somewhat of a superhero.

This is a fun superhero series

With any superhero series there is a lot of cool powers and fights and this book ranks high in the quality of action. What makes this different is I really got sucked into the drama and relationships that came with it. It turned it into a real page Turner for me and I can't wait for number 6!

Now I cant wait for number 6.

Worth a shot

I like the characters and the story line but the writing gets a bit redundant from book to book in the series.

It's a superhero story about tech which enables the powers, tech of the sort that is indistinguishable from magic in many cases.

The MC is honestly my least favourite character in the story, but he's an average schmuck in over his head so I can't really expect him to have a handle on things. What completely gobsmacks me is the misguided idealism which makes putting horrendously dangerous people in stasis instead of putting them down in the public interest the default option.

The author may have a plan for this, but to me this is yet another weak character who can't do what's necessary. That may even be a trope, and if it isn't it's common enough that it should be. Anyway, it's entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way, as evidenced by the fact that I've made it to 5. I really think stuff should be reaching an end of some sort soon. I hope so, because if they keep fighting the same people over and over again I may direct my attention elsewhere.

I like the series and the characters for the most part. Im not 100% sure that the MC is actually someone I can understand. He wants to make things better in his city, but doesn't really think through what it will take to get that accomplished.
I started reading this book a couple of times, but kept putting it down to read other books.
I do want to see where this story ends, but the storytelling needs to pick it up if the author wants to save this series.

Enhancer 5

Another interesting installment in the Enhancer series. Bain, Concussion, and Massive are back and up to no good. Ty and his women are behind the curve again and scrambling to catch up.

Interesting read

Good story so far, i tend to skip all the sex because it adds nothing to the story, and that’s what I’m here for. I’m still wondering why the nanites haven’t rebuilt the person in the cryo tube.

Awesome series

I think the characters suffer and struggle as real people do? There is continuous suspense! One of my favorite series.

Great series

This is a good book. You should read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. One if the few harem lit that still involves leveling and power ups. Keep it up.
