When I read the first two books of this series in Middle School, they were my everything!!!
Now that I’m in University however, they don’t hold up whatsoever.
While Cara’s wish for freedom is still relatable and I particularly enjoyed Judy’s character development over the series, everything else just fell apart.
For once Cara is extremely childish and at times just plain dumb. And while I recognize that she hasn’t interacted with many people before, her level of naivety is just silly. The other characters don’t fare much better on this front.
And then there is the issue with the plot.
It takes more than half the book to get going and we focus on trivial stuff that I wasn’t interested in at the least. The ending and the entire conflict are then wrapped up rather quickly and everything gets extremely over the top and simply unrealistic. It also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense and various questions are left unanswered.
Also, while I am aware that this is a middle grade series, the characters, other than Judy of course, don’t change and we’re only learning about them on a surface level. Maybe that is because we don’t get many scenes between Cara and the side characters in this installment and rather spend the majority of the book in Cara’s head but neither this nor the age demographic are valid excuses.
I have definitely waited to long to pick up the final book and am, therefore, no longer the target audience. However, I would still recommend other, fantastic middle grade series over this one!

What a great book this was. A fantastic finish to the author´s Cornwall College trilogy and so worth my time. The cover is filled with symbols of all kind and though I am not very fond of the color combination (reminds me of wasps), the hand mirror is a beautiful accessory and it fits in perfectly in the style of the other covers.
The story is filled with action, adventure, romance, and some fantastic characters. From the first word to the last this book is exciting, diversified, and thrilling. I couldn´t stop reading and was eager to find out what would happen on the next page. The author´s style is easy to read, blunt when it comes to the glitter-girls, but always with style and elegance. If you know what I mean *smile*
I am in love. Cara is one heck of a great girl and the way how she sees the world, how she thinks about everything is simply said wonderful. In this part, she fights, even more, to get what she desires and to find out why her grandmother is always so rigorous when it comes to her granddaughters wish to see the place where her father had a terrible accident many years ago.
Annika Harper shows with the perfect combination of sensitivity and action how Cara copes with everything, how she gets involved in things and what she does to solve the challenges she has to face.
While reading this book I simply couldn’t help it but laugh every time I read a scene with the glitter girls. Those girls are THE HIT, besides Cara of course. They are so shallow-brained, dumb and obsessed with their hair, make-up, and clothes, that you can only feel pity for them. Pretty to look at maybe, but don´t make them speak.
This third and last book of the Cornwall College trilogy was, at least for me, the best book. Filled with conflicts, a fighting Cara, a great atmosphere, great scenes, and hilarious dialogues. I am absolutely thrilled about it and very sad at the same time that there will be no further Cara Winter book.

MEINE MEINUNG:
Annika Harpers Cornwall College Trilogie mochte ich von anfang an sehr, da sie so vollkommen anders waren als alle anderen College Bücher. Auch der dritte Band hatte es wieder total in sich und ich habe mich so gefreut ihn zu lesen als er bei mir eingetroffen ist letzte Woche. Das beste war, dass ich mein aktuelles Currently read beendet hatte an diesem Tag und so konnte ich dieses hier sofort lesen.
Ich war einfach sofort wieder in dieser wundervollen Welt von Cara Winter, also in Cornwall, und habe mich auch sofort wieder mit Annika Harpers Schreibstil arrangieren können, da dieser einfach unbeschreiblich locker, genial und flüssig ist. Ich liebte es auch wieder, dass die Autorin die perfekte Mischung an Humor reingepackt hat, denn es passte einfach wieder wie die Faust aufs Auge.
Auch die Charaktere haben sich vollkommen weiterentwickelt und was mir sehr gefallen hat war, dass diese einfach ihren Humor und ihre sympathische, liebevolle und authentische Charatere nicht verloren haben. Annika Harper schuf hier Protagonistin und Nebenfiguren, die alle samt einfach perfekt waren und mich stets zum lächeln und lachen gebracht haben.
Die Story und die Handlung waren wieder einsame spitze! Annika Harper erschuf auch im letzten Band ein Wohlfühlfeeling im gesamten Buch und ich war, trotz das Band 2 ewig her ist, sofort wieder in der Story drin und fand den Anschluss gleich wieder. Für mich ist diese Story, diese Handlung und auch die Handlungsstränge der Geschichte, einfach durch und durch gelungen und ich liebe auch diese wieder sehr. Die Story war von der ersten Seite an vollkommen spannend und mitfiebernd, und das Ende…. SO hätte ich es einfach nicht erwartet aber es machte mich glücklich und es ist der Autorin einfach gelungen!
MEIN FAZIT:
Abschließend muss ich sagen, dass ich mir keinen perfekten Abschluss der Trilogie hätte vorstellen können. Band 3 “Was weiss Cara Winter” ist von der ersten Seite an bis zum bitteren Ende einfach unglaublich spannend, fesselnd und authentisch! Annika Harper überzeugte wieder mit großes Leistung und einem Abschluss der einfach perfekt war. Dieser Abschluss trieb mir auf der letzten Seite die Tränen in die Augen, denn ich bin gefangen und verloren in dieses Ende. Kurz gesagt: Die gesamte Trilogie ist geil, Band 3 war der stärkste Band und warum? Weil das Ende, es ist einfach perfekt und so vollkommen. Großartige & grandiose Leistung Frau Harper! Für mich ist es ein Highlight im Juni, denn dieses Buch liest man nicht, man LEBT es!

Cornwall College...einfach eine zucker süße, leichte, tolle Geschichte. Die Charakter waren einfach nur liebenswert und die Story einfach nur spannend, überraschend und einfach nur angenehm zu lesen. Das Buch hat mich insgesamt gut unterhalten und hat mir beim Lesen viel Spaß bereitet.
