Ausentes

Resolvi ler esse livro depois de uma indicação num site. O começo da história me empolgou, mas, com 20% de leitura, eu já tinha meio que bastante certeza do que estava acontecendo.
A leitura é fácil, mas não existe suspense e grandes surpresas, acredito que a única coisa surpreendente seja a motivação do crime. Enfim, poderia ser muito melhor.

Bom ... Se você é um leitor iniciante no gênero literário suspense policial eu te recomendo o livro "Ausentes". Que oportunidade de ler em parceria com uma escritora. ⠀

Uma das três personagens principais chamados Ana, faz uma viagem para São José dos Ausentes, no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Em meio sua viagem ela decidir fazer uma caminhada com seu cachorro para conhecer mais a cidade. ⠀

Durante esse percurso ela sofre um acidente, em meio esse acidente, Ana acaba encontrando um sangue, sim lendo um sangramento. A partir daí, se inicia o grande suspense. Saber de quem é esse sangue, após descobrir de quem é, descobrir quem matou e por que matou. Um padrão de um livro de suspense policial. ⠀

E ai que chega o porém da questão, porque recomendei para leitores iniciantes e não para todos ?? Por ser um enredo padrão. Quem é um leitor que tem o traje de ler sempre desse gênero vai sentir que ele é um livro padrão sem algo de novo e diferente, e também vai sentir falta de um pouco mais de ação em meio como investigações que acontecem. ⠀

Mas claro ele também tem seus pontos positivos, como por exemplo, por ser gaúcha, a autora, ela aborda várias culturas do estado, e isso acaba se tornando bem interessante. ⠀

Ausentes conta a história de um crime a partir do ponto de vista de três mulheres: Ana, Marina e Jéssica. Cada uma tem características distintas e estão em situações que fazem com que sejam quase reais. É possível enxergar uma mulher que conhecemos em cada mulher da história. Isso foi um dos pontos que mais gostei nesse livro.
Outro destaque é para a forma que a autora consegue incluir o leitor no ambiente. Apesar de ser carioca e não saber nada sobre a cultura da região do país em que a história acontece, eu não me senti perdida. Foi bom conhecer um lugar novo e expressões novas.
O grande mistério é descobrir a motivação do crime. Confesso que fiquei remoendo durante dias, imaginando as possibilidades, a motivação de cada personagem. Nas últimas páginas fiquei com muito medo de que eu tivesse conseguido solucionar o mistério. Só conseguia pensar em algo muito clichê. Mas, na verdade, fui surpreendida!
Recomendo esse livro para aqueles que gostam de um mistério que nos faz matutar todo dia (caso seja uma leitora lenta, como eu sou). E também para aqueles que querem apreciar mais os autores nacionais. Já estou ansiosa por uma nova história escrita pela E. Ritt.

Ausentes é narrado pro três mulheres absolutamente diferentes, mas que tem suas vidas cruzadas em decorrência de um crime que fora descoberto depois de alguns anos. Um desaparecimento misterioso e, quatro anos depois, um crânio encontrado às margens de um riacho. E. Ritt construiu uma trama envolvente no belíssimo cenário do Rio Grande do Sul e nos presenteou com as peculiaridades de suas tradições. Um livro viciante que eu li em uma sentada.

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, this thrilling read threw me a curveball with its unpredictable ending! 🤯
From the bustling city to the quiet suburbs of Ausentes, I joined Ana on her journey through a place of tranquility but which soon becones a place of mystery. As a hypomaniac in a unique marriage, Ana's story will take you on a rollercoaster of thrills and twists.
While going out for an evening walk into the dark woods they stumble upon a skull. Yes, a human skull that totally blows out Ana's mind. She is not a detective. But she cannot think anything else now. Who skull was it? And from there her detective mind juices start to flow and she gets into a secret investigation of her own alongside the police. Later she comes across:
The murdered victim Scientist's wife who later on marries her boyfriend. The landlord of the farm house which was linked with his work of Rare earth Lanthanum mines. And two high status more people whose activities arise a lot of uncleaned business. Was it an accident or a murder? What conspiracies lie hidden? Was the reason Power play?Come to know from the perspectives of 3 women whose lives are now intregally linked with this case. The last few pages proved totally to be a game changer in this murder mystery thriller book. My mind was blown away. I recommend this book to thriller lovers. Definitely go for it.

As she delves deeper into the investigation, Ana comes across the murdered victim's wife who feels unemotional about the case, the landlord of the farm house which was linked with his work of Rare earth Lanthanum mines and two high-status individuals whose activities raise a lot of unclean business. With so many suspects, it's hard to determine whether it was an accident or a murder. What conspiracies are hiding in plain sight? Was it a result of a power play?
The book provides three perspectives, each from a different woman whose life is intricately linked to the case. The last few pages of this murder mystery thriller book proved to be a game-changer, and my mind was completely blown away. I highly recommend this book to all the thriller lovers out there. It's definitely worth picking up and exploring for yourself.

A witty and clever mystery intertwined with psychology.
I highly appreciate and loved those books which give me gripping narrated mysteries and settled on a picturesque description of some other countries, creating a deep impact in readers' minds with an astonishingly vast array of cultural life and natural aspects of the place. This is a well-crafted, murder mystery story with intimidating psychological aspects and a dash of Brazilian life.
With her witty narrative style, the author takes us to the land of Brazil. I had read a John Grisham book, named The Testament which was ensembled with a vivid narrative of Brazil and again I fall for this book for a little tour of Brazil. And another thing that made me intrigued, was the main character, the geologist. Nature depiction, science, and a murder, what more I would need? It's all in the same nook and I am totally hooked.
When geologist Rodrigo disappeared no one got a clue what happened to him. 4 years passed and suddenly Anna found a human skull in a creek propel when she came on vacation. Anna found herself intrigued and creating help in the investigation of this mystery.
The story was recited from three perspectives. Therefore a bunch of characters appeared but the author's capability of creating their distinguished characteristics and nuances made me glued to the book. I enjoyed how nicely the author evokes glimpses of the cultural life of South Brazil which is creating a cozy vibe.
I love how the author is intimidating with the characters, they are deeply portrayed with their psychology, and it's vivid and well crafted. The narrative has crispy multiple POV, everyone has their own background which created beautiful dimensions in the story. Every character and their idiosyncrasy gives this book a profound touch and readers can feel related to themselves.
When the ending twist came, the author spun the table 360° and it smashed all of your speculations.
The thing I loved in this book is Jessica, her perspective is depicted as a diary entry. I loved this narration style. I love the diversity the author created in her characters. I enjoyed them so much.
Highly recommended to Agatha Christie's fans. A well-crafted murder mystery, perfectly blended with Brazil culture and social life

uma narrativa intrigante mas que não inova no tema, deixando algo bem batido, previsível, o que não torna a obra ruim mas sim, uma leitura igual a diversos outros livros com a mesma temática, ótimo para se passar o tempo, escrita fluída que te prende
