There comes a time in every life, when both your love and loyalty are tested to their very limits!
My name was Hayley Monroe, but then I became Ness—a slave who was bound to her master through love, and submission.
But, no one had bet on me and my demonic lover creating a bond that could not be broken.
I’m losing my inner battle, because my training hadn’t prepared me for how to cope with being bonded to both a human, and a demon.
And I should be a queen by now, sitting at her king’s side. Because without me, I don’t think he can ever win his battle for the throne of Hell.
I was Hayley, then I was Ness. Now I have to figure out exactly who this new version of myself is. Because if I can’t rise from the ashes of my downfall, then it might be too late for everyone that I love!
The first book was very enjoyable with a very nice, refreshing concept. However, in this one, the heroine seemed different compared to the first book. In "she rises" the heroine seems more childish and unstable, even annoying in some parts.
The book itself had very unrealistic situations, it seemed almost as if the author was just trying to finish the book ASAP and didn't want to bother researching how certain "processes" work. It almost felt like this book was written by a wattpad teenager, it was totally different than the first book.
I'm very disappointed because this book series could have been insane, especially since book 1 was very good.
Thrilling second installment to "She Falls" this series has kept me gripped from start to finish and the second installment did not let me down. Hayley's life twists and turns all over the place having to deal with love..loyalty..lies..betrayal.. kidnapping and an ultimate life changing decision....you will have whiplash from the rollercoaster ride that is Hayley's life! This book does contain strong dominating sex and violence.
I absolutely love the she falls and was expecting the same twist in she rises. I think it ended quick. He is the master of all evil. He is the devil. So he should have punish anyone or anything come across his way bit more. Never thought of falling in love with the 👹 but I did.
Like I said about the previous book... I blame FIFTY SHADES OF SHIT for this horrible genre. OF COURSE, the demon will pay a million dollars for her. OF COURSE, the 'bond' she thought she had with Ryan is vulnerable.
This book is the demonic version of FIFTY SHADES OF SHIT. Both 'heroes' are TSTL & of course, Hayley is a martyr.
I just don't understand this genre: it gives the wrong impression that a man who treats you like shit will eventually grow to love you. As if YOU are THE ONE to break his hard exterior and get to that softer side where he starts calling you darling. I can't stand the whole "fucking-into-submission" kind of sex. Both this book & the first one have some disturbing rape scenes in there. I just can't with this genre.
I would recommend this book to someone who will devour anything & who knows that abuse isn't love.
I thought this book was very well written. It is one of my favourites. I was surprised at how it ended but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It is by far one of the greatest books written.
Overall this duo was an enjoyable ride with part one being the more suspenseful, believable, sexy and cogent .This most likely due to the fact that part two did fall prey to some silly mistakes buy the H and the FBI that suspended belief but presumably were necessary to take the plot where it needed go. Therefore, although.slightly disappointed in book two,the conclusion was pleasing and I remain excited to check out more by this author.
