I don’t often give a book 5 stars, but I loved this story. The characters are fantastic, I like Violet as much as Cassie. They work well together and was happy that Cassie is now well on her way to making a career decision. I wish my library had more books in this series, but I won’t let that stop me as I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is one of the best of the series. Cassie and Violet get involved in another murderer's spreee and have to take chances to make the culprit probe his guilt. Excitement and lots of thrills, surprises and finding a purpose for Cassie to look at a future plan that uses her past skills is just icing on the cake. I really like the friendship and cooperation and trust shown between three very different women, Brianna, Cassie and Violet.

Cassie is relaxing on her couch when there's an urgent knock on her door.
A body fell into Kings Cross station and the police are urgently trying to find Violet to get her help.
It winds up that the duo is now chasing a serial killer, and Cassie is willing to be bait in order to catch him.

This was a good story with continuing development of the characters and moving Cassie toward her goal of going back to school.

A fun cozy mystery!

Cassie and Violet save the day again! There's a serial killer on the loose and once again the police look to Violet to solve the crime. After sorting through the evidence Cassie and Violet set ours to trap the killer and several lives are out in jeopardy. Great story that keeps you engrossed until the very end.

Taking down the King

I have been reading this series since I discovered the first one. Violet is more Holmes than Holmes himself. Cassie is an excellent Watson. I recommend reading the series in order as the people develop their storylines.

Another winner

I love this series, and there had better be more coming or I'll have the mother of all hissy fits. Cassie may do something new, but she still needs to work with Violet!

Violet and Cassie are on the case

A very public murder gets the police very motivated to solve it. So naturally, they want Violet on the case.

Must be meant for children

Well written. Lively plot. Hero worship. Too much explanation. Characters are interesting. Gratuitous demeaning of police. Better than I expected.

Best book in the series thus far. The villain was a mystery until the end and the story had much more depth and action than usual.
