Four sweet regency romances from a bestselling author...

A Rake's Redemption

Her brother's best friend might be a rake, but she's about to be his ruin...
Claire is the dutiful, proper Cleveland sister, and the only one who's not embroiled in a scandal. Until now. With her sister's marriage to an earl, the weight of responsibility to save her family has been lifted from her shoulders, and for the first time in her life Claire is free. A rebelliousness she's long denied has her acting out in ways she would never have imagined. Like chasing her brother through the dark streets of London... and kissing her brother's best friend and notorious rake, Lord Nicholas.

A Duke's Distraction

He's looking for a duchess. She's looking for...well, anyone but him.
Georgie Cleveland is well aware that true love exists. She may have even found it in the handsome young gentleman she's set her sights on. Unfortunately, her rival has the same designs on society's most sought-after poet. Now Georgie is forced to go to extremes to catch his eye. She could make him jealous, for example, by feigning interest in her sister's brother-in-law, the Duke of Roxborough. It is all for show, of course. Roxborough is far too dull for her tastes. So boring, so stodgy...yet, such a surprisingly passionate kisser.

A Gentleman's Gamble

Eliza may never forgive the man who nearly ruined her sister, but that doesn't mean she can't marry him.
Eliza Beucraft is in a pickle. She'd thought she'd successfully avoided marriage altogether, but her father has other ideas. Unless she wants to be stuck with the cruel gentleman of her father's choosing, she must find her own husband. Preferably one who needs her dowry and is willing to take a risk on her admittedly ludicrous plan. There's only one man who comes to mind. A man she despises after his devilish deeds two years ago, but one who she knows cannot resist a wager. Now if only she can remember that his kisses aren't real and that this marriage is only for show...

A Lady's Luck

Henri lives to uncover secrets, but this man has everything to hide...
Lady Henrietta Bloomfield has built a fortune gambling on the utterly predictable foibles of her peers. When her latest wager fails thanks to the stodgy Earl of Colefax and his surprisingly rash behavior, she's more intrigued than disappointed. It seems there's more to the upright earl than meets the eye, and Henri makes it her mission to discover who he really is. The more she gets to know the real Alistair, with his dark passion and his mysterious missions, the more she finds him utterly, irresistibly appealing. And what she feels when he holds her in his arms? That's enough to make her doubt her sanity. No rational woman should lose her heart to a man who's determined to ruin her fun.

Please Note: A Rake's Redemption was formerly titled A Rake's Ruin.

A Rake's Ruin
Claire is the dutiful, proper Cleveland sister, and the only one who's not embroiled in a scandal. With her sister's marriage to the Devil of Davenport, the weight of responsibility to save her family has been lifted from her shoulders, and for the first time in her life Claire is free. A rebelliousness she's long denied has her acting out in ways she would never have imagined. Like chasing her brother through the dark streets of London and kissing her brother's best friend and notorious rake, Lord Nicholas Galwin who thought he knew everything there was to know about his friend's proper and boring younger sister. Beautiful though she might be, Claire holds no allure for the worldly rogue. At least, not until he holds her in his arms.
I read this long novella in an afternoon & was captivated by Galwin, oh when a rake falls he falls hard! There was no mystery or intrigue just a man wooing a woman & I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The author isn’t known for her Regency novels but this follows on from the Earl of Davenport in the Wicked Earls series & I look forward to Georgie’s story. I felt a couple of things were unresolved I wish Galwin & Jed had made friends again & that a certain rumour spreading baron had have had his comeuppance

A Duke's Distraction

He's looking for a duchess. She's looking for...well, anyone but him.
Georgie Cleveland is well aware that true love exists afterall her two sisters have recently married for love. She may have even found it in the handsome young lord she's set her sights on. Unfortunately, her rival & best friend Mary has the same designs on society's most sought-after poet. Now Georgie is forced to go to extremes to catch his eye. She could make him jealous, for example, by feigning interest in her sister's brother-in-law, Rhys Galwin, the Duke of Roxborough. It is all for show, of course. Roxborough is far too dull for her tastes. So boring, so stodgy. With Roxborough's new title comes more pressure than ever to marry. His mother has prospective wives lined up for him, all perfectly fitted for the role. She’s even made a detailed list.
Quite a short book that I read in two sittings but an entertaining delightful read, I think I smiled all the way through. The pace is very good & I didn't want to put it down. The characters are well developed & have plenty of depth. Rhys & Georgie are perfect for each other their verbal sparring had me smiling & laughing at times. A feel good novel that I thoroughly enjoyed & I look forward to the Cleveland brothers having their HEAs.

Preferably one who needs her dowry and is willing to take a risk on her admittedly ludicrous plan. There's only one man who comes to mind, Jed Cleveland. A man she despises after his devilish deeds two years ago, but one who she knows cannot resist a wager. Everyone knows that Jed Cleveland has made more than his fair share of mistakes. However he hasn't gambled in years, yet he's still paying his debts and making amends for his sins.
This is the third book in the series & fourth about the Cleveland siblings, it could be read on its own but to fully appreciate it I’d recommend reading his sisters’ stories too. I’d met Jed in the earlier books & wasn't sure if I'd like him as he was a gambler, wastrel & rake but events from two years ago had rocked his world & he’d left his former life behind, he takes a gamble when he agrees to marry Eliza. An enthralling read of two people who go from hate to liking to friends and finally to finding love. The verbal spats were so amusing & the companionship they found was endearing.

A Lady's Luck
Lady Henrietta Bloomfield has built a fortune gambling on the utterly predictable foibles of her peers. When her latest wager fails thanks to the stodgy Earl of Colefax and his surprisingly rash behaviour, she's more intrigued than disappointed. It seems there's more to the upright earl than meets the eye, and Henri makes it her mission to discover who he really is. The more she gets to know the real Alistair, with his dark passion and his mysterious missions, the more she finds him utterly, irresistibly appealing. Alistair might have found Henri's nosey antics amusing...if he didn't have so many secrets to hide. It's not just his pride on the line--lives are at stake, including his brother Marcus'. He has no choice but to do whatever it takes to distract Henri from her suspicions, and if kisses are the best way to do that, then so be it.
A very enjoyable read, the characters have plenty of depth & the verbal sparring & chemistry between Alistair & Henri is what makes this book so captivating. They are so right for each other but secrets & insecurities make them question their feelings. I was hooked from the start & surprised at the revelation at the end. I read the book in two sittings.
I read all of these stories individually & love that they’ve been put together in a box set

Good writing, even if a bit repetitive after four books in a row. I particularly liked that the characters in the third book because they were a bit dorky, it was quite funny.

A rakes ruin

Claire is free of the pressure of marrying to save her family from financial ruin thanks to her sister marrying well. Now Claire is not sure how to act or feel that she no longer has that pressure hanging over her head but when she suspects that her bother is up to no good again she doesn’t look back at following him to keep him out of trouble. Nicholas is Claire’s brothers best friend and a rake he always thought of Claire of a boring doll but when he come across her trying to follow her brother he finally sees the real Claire hiding behind her simpering smile and feels something he never imagined. Can he convince Claire that he has changed or will she be her own worst enemy and believe that love is just not in the cards for her. Absolutely loved Nicholas he goes from rake to a man willing to do anything to keep the woman he loves and willing to do anything for her. Claire was too stuck in her old way of thinking that she could not hope for more good thing Nicholas was not willing to give up.

A Duke’s Distraction

They say that opposites attract and that exactly what happens here. Georgie is fun care free and always laughing Rhys is what I would call the fun police all serious and stuffy due to his duties as a duke now needs a wife but Georgie doesn’t have the qualities he is looking for or so he thinks. Super sweet cute story.

A Gentleman’ Gamble

I wasn’t sure about Jed’s character going into this story by boy did Maggie Dallen make me change my mind. Jed had sunk to the bottom two years ago when he almost accepted at wager that would ruin Eliza’s sister. Eliza ever the quite one never revealed Jed’s darkest secret but now due to her horrible father that secret could help her avoid a horrible marriage and make her own way. But this marriage is in name only to help saver her and she’s counting on Jed’s need of money to make it happen but he’s not the same man from long ago and the more they get to know each other and spend time together the closer they get. Will she be able to trust Jed to not make the same mistakes and let her down or will he save the day this time. HEA for sure!!

Great series all together in one bundle HEA’s all around.
Voluntarily read and reviewed an arc of this.

In A Gentleman’s Gamble, Eliza Beaucraft has hated Jed Cleveland for 2 years ever since he almost participated in a wager that would have ruined her sister Mary. But now her father is forcing her to marry his cruel business partner and Jed is the lesser of two evils if only she can get him to agree to a marriage of convenience in the hope that her father will still give him her dowry after they marry without his permission. Mary was tough because she had to be with an abusive father and a younger sister to protect. Jed is not the same man he was 2 years ago when he hit an all-time low. He never thought of Eliza except with shame over what he almost did. He never expected to fall for her and to do whatever it took to give her independence and happiness.

In A Lady’s Luck, Allistar Merryweather, Earl of Colefax and Lady Henrietta Bloomfield use subterfuge and deflection to get what they want. Henri needs a way to earn money after her parents left Henri and her brother Roderick Bloomfield, Earl of Braxton with little money, so she secretly gambles about the members of the ton. Allister is hiding that his older brother is still alive and running a secret privateering business to play Robin Hood. I didn't like how Henri potentially socially ruined members of the ton just to make money. There were plenty of funny and romantic moments in this Regency romance.

I am not sure why 'Devilish', this seemed to be doing the gentlemen in question a disfavour, even before the soft-centre reveal: but the boxset was an amiable enough fluffy read while in the tedious throes of travelling.

Complete four books in the Devilish Lords series. Each novella length told in dual POV with sweet HEA. Each book about a different Cleveland sibling with the secondary characters the same throughout the series. I enjoyed all these historical romance stories!!
