Marissa Farrar is a multi-published romance and fantasy author. She was born in Devon, England, loves to travel and has lived in both Australia and Spain. She now resides in the countryside with her husband, three children, a crazy Spanish dog, two rescue cats and six hens. She has a degree in Zoology, but her true love has always been writing.

Marissa is the author of sixteen novels, including the dark vampire ‘Serenity’ series. Loved it! But now I’m looking for #3 ... where is it??

Summary:

The story picks up right where the first book ended. They boys just rescued Rue. They decide it's best to all run away together. They go to a connection Kodee has to get Rue a fake passport since they had to abandon all their stuff at their penthouse when they ran.

The connection accidentally let it slip to someone that he had 3 boys and a girl at his cabinet. This resulted in some gang members coming to kill them. They boys killed them first and then they had to abandon their plan to get Rue a fake passport. So they decided to run to Canada and hike across the boarder.

They had to use the dead gang members' car to get to Minnesota to cross the boarder. As they hiked to get to the boarder, some friends of the dead gang members tracked the car and followed them into their hike. They also killed them until the Capellos brothers showed up and killed the rival gang members.

Now they boys and Rue were captured by them and brought back to the city. Dillon gets knocked out and taken as an insurance policy that Rue will testify. Kodee and Ryan and "let go" to return to their penthouse and create fake IDs and such for the Capellos. Rue is, of course, kept by the Capellos so she can testify in a week and to be their plaything again.

I may have screamed at the book

So this book picks up where book one leaves off. They are on the run from two mafia groups and headed to a friend for help. Because things never go as they should between the heated moments there’s gunfire and so really dumb choices that had me scream are you idiots at the book. The end surprised me a little because I didn’t see that coming. It’s a mafia Rh with all the classic elements. I know it’s labeled as dark but again like I said with the first one I just don’t see dark romance. (Maybe my “dark” is used to pitched black crazy af reading ). It has some darker themes but really so far they haven’t been expanded upon to tip it over in my opinion. I meant ion this because one some people are like dark read yessss gimmie while others would pass. If your in the latter category I just wanted you to know this is more
Mafia romance then dark lol. I liked it though and will be starting the final book today (3 books / 3 days.)

Wow! I can’t!

This book had the group on the move. Nonstop action with some nice moments between the characters. Their chemistry is hot and I can’t wait for their happy ending. Please let them have a happy ending.

Even better then the 1st! I love how the MC is reacting sexually even with her past she recognizing it and moving forward. The way it is written is really well done and very believable. Some definite thing happened that I was not expecting and the bedroom scenes are even better! Now for book 3!

The portrayal of Ryan and his many issues with his amputation is so realistic! The phantom pain, the size of his sleeve and prosthetic changing so on point.
I hope that they catch a break because that cliffhanger had my heart hurting.

Intense

As the story builds up, Rue and the guys are finally getting to a good place, but of course things can't be easy.

Guarded by Them is action packed, with steam and being on the run. I loved the multiple POV!

I was so entertained and thrilled while reading this story. I truly loved the twist and turns, ups and downs, and I also enjoyed all the characters.

So the story continues for Rue, Kodee, Dillon, and Ryan. The first book had more of a getting to know the characters vibe. Whereas, this book has a more fast pace feel to it. I have loved each of the characters from book one and this book makes me love them all the more. They each have such differences in personality and I think that's why they flow so well together. The guys aren't your typical, macho, perfect characters who know exactly what to do or what to say but at times make mistakes and own up to them and in my opinion that brings so much more to their story. They have their own flaws and their vulnerabilities about them, including Rue. They struggle at times with fighting their own demons but also manage to help one another fight theirs too.

So enough about the mushy and now for the steamy. Those intimate scenes are sizzling hot! The one-on-ones or the all together scenes. They all left me a hot mess. The danger feels like it's lurking around every corner and kept me guessing when or if something was going to happen. And from the ending I can tell that danger is far from over. Can't wait till book three.

Book two in this tantalizing incredibly sexy and dark story picks up where book one left us.
Kodee, Dillion, and Ryan will do whatever it takes to protect Rue but will it be enough?
We go on one heck of an action-packed roller coaster ride and where it ends isn't pretty, I actually almost cried... I don't like cliff hangers but we get one and it's huge.
I am truly enjoying this series and all its darkness soaked with hotness...
I can't wait for the next one.

So this picks up right when the first book leaves off so you can easily understand what is happening. Everyone is in danger and tension is high but through it all, the guys don't leave Rue, which is what she was worried about. The story keeps unfolding and had me at the edge the whole time. It leaves you in another cliffhanger that will have you just staring with your mouth wide open. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Rue and the guys are on the run in book two of the Dirty Twisted Love series. This book picks up where book one left off filled with action, danger, suspense, steam and a cliffhanger that surprised me. This is a dark and steamy read that follows on from book 1 in the series. The plot is brilliant, and the characters have depth to them. This is a page-turner so get comfy!

Omg

Love love love it. This series so far has been awesome I can't wait to see what happen next. Poor rue is all I can say.
