Decent read, but I wish there would be more substance to Jill's witchcraft. I'd like to see her studying or creating spells, not just using the same handful she's mastered since book one.

Jill has a nightmare. Kathy wants to meet Jill's brother and Winky is happy about something. Jill meets a retired fairy godmother, there's a jewelry theft, a television show, decoupage, rogue werewolves and Winky's new not-so-legal project.

Jill works with Ghost Town, a lawsuit against her, a development with the flying broom team and something is seriously wrong with Lizzie. Jill isn't feeling real well at times and her eating habits seem to be changing. (Pretty easy to guess what that means.)

The oddest thing in the book is a window-cleaning robot named Robby. That's obviously a reference to the science-fiction film Forbidden Planet and the Robby the Robot that in that film. Actually, I have a Robby the Robot 'toy' that can speak several phrases and looks and sounds just like the Robby from the film.

It's a neat book in that it's obviously leading into some important things in up-coming additions to the series.

Jill is investigating a rich man who disappeared from a cheap hotel 2 years ago, for her client, the man's sister. Jack has a similar case from recently. They discover that these disappearances go back several years.

Jill's brother Martin meets Kathy, and finds that Lizzie is being bothered by a scary presence. Can he help her?

Meanwhile, Winky sets up an illegal radio station
in Jill's office, and almost gets her arrested.

Jill's fairy godmother gives her a trinket box
that contains a HUGE green genie named Big.

Mrs. V complains that Armie is too "frisky".

And Grandma's broom riding team meets again.

Of course Jill always solves her case, but she hasn't quite been herself lately.

Just another week in Washbridge/Candlefield/Alternate Candlefield. The Fringe lives!

Loads of fun

This is a very entertaining book. Jill is up to her usual antics while solving cases. One of the main storylines is a missing person case that gets very interesting. By the end most storylines had been wrapped up, but there were a lot of hints about something going on with Jill and it wasn’t resolved in this book so I guess I’ll have to wait for the next one to see if my guess is right,

I normally don't write reviews on these books but I just want to say I'm irritated by the last or 2nd to last chapter. It slipped by the editor that Adele wrote Naomi stayed in Hawaii and then literally later in the same chapter she was at home with her (would have been ex if she was really in Hawaii).

I just can't stand inconsistencies like that. However, theses are written to perfection otherwise. There are never any issues and this being book #35, that's pretty darn good!

This was a really fun book with a lot of great outcomes. Grandma still continues to treat Jill like crap until she wants something from her. She is just so disrespectful of jill; her family, and friends at times. I find myself sitting on the couch; yelling at Grandmas sometimes; like anyone would ever hear me, but it makes me feel good to get my feelings out. I'm so glad that Jill and her brother are starting to get along better, and I can't wait to see what adventures they have together.

35 books in, and although I've been entertained by this series, it's long past due for some serious character growth--not just on the part of Jill (who I found to be a bit more rude than she normally is--and I don't consider that character growth, sorry), but on all of them (including the minor characters, like Mr. Ivers). I can tell something big is coming (no pun intended), so maybe that's a sign.

I am SO tired of a selfish woman/witch who seems to do nothing really other than eat custard creams (discusting btw), somehow falls into solving a mystery, is married to a man she seeming dislikes and abuses in tedious ways.
Adele Abbott takes what should be a chapter and stretches it into a book.
And Winkie is a wanker.

Inventively Written

This book displays the creativity and Inventiveness of TBE author. She has written this series with so much creativity it is amazing to see what may be coming in the next book! I'm glad there are more adventures for Jill, but I'll miss her when the series is complete.

Really enjoy the way these books are written. I've been in a really bad slump on the book and just remembered I have t read from Mrs. Abbott in a while. I'm glad to see since the last time I've read she has come out with newer books in this series. I'm moving on to the next book now. That's how good they are. You just can't stop reading but mom life prevails. Read on.

I have read the series since the beginning and find it entertaining. Winky is quite a cat. I wish I could talk to my cat.
Jill needs to use her powers in new ways, coming up with new spells. I'm looking forward to the new books.

Snatchers

After 35 books, there is still more for Winky to get in trouble from.
Jill is settling into married life and the cases are still coming in.
Martin is a rousing character that I hope we see more of.

Jill has done it again, and I'm not talking about custard cremes!! Missing jewelry, a "Big" green present (!?), and where are the missing men!?

We keep getting little Easter Eggs about the next book in the series?! Am I wrong or is there a little one on the way?

With PI #35
Another craving yarn from the world of the Witch PI - It's been a while since I entered this world and it was good to be back in to, with I think more intrigue to come, and many questions yet to be resolved.

Another Great Story in This Series.

I love the titles of these books and the intriguing hints to a part of the story. Winky is such a snot, but always funny. He thinks very highly of himself. The mysteries in this book are very interesting and a fun puzzle to work on. Let's keep it going.

Been waiting for me to finish this for ages after going on a tangent with another series of books in the same vein. But I still prefer the writing style of this one! Anyway done … next!!

Just when you thought you knew the family… could there be more? And what would a small trinket box be? Could it be Pandora’s box or something more enchanting?
