The ending looked hurried to me, but it could just be me; otherwise, it was your typical nice and short omegaverse story. Both of the key characters grow into their roles. Looking forward to volume 2 and their family.
I was so happy that after all that pain in the past, he finally found a good Alpha, his real soulmate, that will protect and care for him and his daughter and their newborn son.
i spent $12.91 on this EBOOK💀 and i do not regret it one bit. this is one of the easiest 5 stars i've given in a long time. this is all fluff, swoon, green flags, and omegaverse goodness with a tinyyy touch of angst. it was perfection. i adore the main couple's relationship, and then them with koga naoto's daughter, shizuku. gosh my heart 😭🥺🫠🫠🫠💗💘❤️🩹 and the way hazuki was ready to protect koga naoto with his life and cherish him exactly the way he needed the SECOND he saw him 🥺
so if you like: 🦋 single parent 🦋 good storyline (check TWs) 🦋 omegaverse 🦋 fated mates 🦋 the most adorable daughter who is so protective 😭 🦋 protective green flag alpha 🦋 instalove 🦋 one wholesome af family 🦋 marking 🦋 quick read
please read this. i need more or i don’t think i’ll be able to move on from them.
ughh the story, art style, and romance were very mediocre. i had to giggle at the fact that the mcs are 17 and 21, yet the 17 year old alpha would not stop talking about “protecting” and “providing” as if he’s not still in HIGH SCHOOL. how exactly he’s going to provide for an adult, a child, and himself is beyond me. i’m laughing but it ain’t funny 🙂↕️
I'm so glad I read hope's review and took a chance on this book. As an omegaverse newbie, I think this might have been the perfect initiation. The first few pages were an introduction to the subgenre with explanations of the sexes, characteristics of each (with pictures!), the medical science involved (testing, inhibitors, etc.) and background on how the relationships work. Highly informative stuff, especially for someone dipping their toe into the world of mpreg for the first time.
As for the story…I mean, the cover says it all. So cute and sweet. I mean, Naoto’s backstory was horrifying, but the way he chose to move on from what happened to him was beautiful. His daily struggles and the way people treated him made me so angry, but he never stopped trying to provide for his adorable little girl. Hazuki, though. Talk about fighting your nature! He put forth so much effort to protect Naoto and earn his trust. Manga hugs are my absolute favorite because they express so much emotion and Hazuki’s hugs were some of the best I’ve seen. I loved his interactions with little Shizuku and the fact that he didn’t even blink when Naoto told him about her. This story was just so sweet and wholesome. I can’t wait for the next volume to come out.
This was cute! I like how consent plays a big role in the couples story because it’s something not often to be found in yaoi manga. The only think I very much did not like was the extra chapter because it’s nothing like the beautiful relationship in the main part. In this extra part he doesn’t put on a condom even thought his partner wants him to wear one. It’s cute that he wants to have a baby from him too but where is the consent I loved so much...??! I will just assume this bonus didn’t happen.
This is a nice story but I'm still feeling weird and freaked out about the whole omegaverse thing. When did that start anyway? The Twilight era? That whole vampire/wolf thing? Alphas preying on omegas surely looked like animals to me. (but I don't hate it, omegaverse, that is. I actually think the one who started it is rather imaginative). And way too unnecessary skins in the end. Like come on, do you really have to show me what's inside that thing?!!! My eyes were bulging out of hatred earlier, but tossing that aside, I did enjoy the story.
In the omegaverse biology works differently as do relationships. In “Hate Me, but Let Me Stay” volume 1 by HIJIKI the main couple is caught in a web of pheromones and social norms that threaten to squash their relationship before it really begins.
The premise for the protagonist, Koga Naoto, is quite traumatic but he is a remarkably sweet parent despite his young age. His relationship with a student at the school where he is working as a janitor begins with physical attraction created by pheromones but ends up in an emotionally healthy place. There is quite a lot of spice along the way and their relationship moves fast, perhaps a little too fast for a proper emotional context to settle down. Fortunately, there seems to be a second volume …
The art is really beautiful. Definitely not safe for work though. Naoto is the cutest and the kids are adorbs. I love this and am looking forward to reading the next four volumes. Not a slow burn.
I loved this. It's probably the best Omegaverse manga I've read. The story is rooted in tragedy, but the love that develops is fiercely protective and tender. I love the whole family that is formed in here and can't wait to see that family grow.
I've recently started reading a lot of yaoi manga and decided to check out this one based on a suggestion from a friend. I'm assuming that if you're looking into reading Kiraide Isasete that you are familiar with the genre and the omegaverse concept, but if you're not, this manga is honestly a pretty good place to start! I felt a little overwhelmed when I started, but this manga does a great job of establishing the world and also takes some of the problematic genre tropes and improves upon them.
Kiraide Isasete tells the story Koga Naoto, is who is an omega and a single parent. When he was a teenager, Naoto was raped by his alpha classmates and later gave birth to his daughter, Shizuku. He is traumatized by his experiences and has avoided mating with an alpha. However, his mother worries about him and wants to make sure he is safe and looked after, so she encourages him to attend a matchmaking party. Though he doesn't meet anyone attending the party, he does meet a waiter named Hazuki.
Naoto and Hazuki's relationship may be the end goal of the manga, but the story itself is more about Naoto's past trauma, as well as Hazuki's real interest in Naoto and the care he takes in trying to pursue a potentially romantic relationship. The themes of real love and family are strong in this manga, and I loved the portrayal of healthy relationships. If you've read yaoi, you know that sometimes...things happen, and those things aren't always good. I try to stay away from stories with problematic tropes, and this particular story is one that I felt actually built and expanded upon these ideas, making a story that felt genuine.
There is a second volume that I would also highly suggest checking out!
This was soo cute! I loved it since the beginning! I loved the consent between the couple Perfect example of healthy alpha and omega relationships!
About the little daughter Shizuku, she's sooo CUTE and unbelievably understanding + mature for her age! Her face saying "Don't fuck with me" ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
My workfriend got me this und es isch absolut wild, i ha ds ganze omegaverse immernoni ganz tscheggt und es isch würk hella ober super total weird, aber iwie hets trotzden mega spass gmacht zum lese:D finge v.a. d szene mit dr tochter cute. Wirde d reihe emu mau witer verfolge u bi gspannt wies witergeit
3.5/5, cute if a little rushed. The pacing is a little off, but I liked Naoto and Hazuki's relationship and how Hazuki really tried to approach Naoto gently after knowing about his past. Shizuku is such a nice, little girl! Although, I wouldn't have blamed Naoto if he had taken that morning-after pill.
I'll probably continue this when I want something to read in between novels.
Wtf did I just read? And I’ve read omegaverse many times before but the mpreg was definitely a surprise yet disappointing when we never even got to see him preggers or exposing how tf it works in this world 😂 also this is a child at 17 so I’m just flabbergasted we got so far so fast!
i really enjoyed it so much like i even felt butterflies in my stomach while reading it. i'm also so glad they end up together, they deserve all the happiness.
After a year of reading stories and rating them only 3 to 4.5 out of 5 stars, I finally found a story that satisfied me with only just a few chapters.
The story is all about Naoto, a male omega who struggles to get by through this harsh world for his daughter. He was a rape victim during his high school days and with all the trauma that he suffered during those years, he started to hate all the Alphas because of their nature— and because of what he experienced with them. Not until when Naoto attended a matchmaking party and met Hazuki when everything changes.
I heard a lot of good things about this manga and that it is all about omegaverse and it has a healthy relationship in it that's why I immediately started reading this. Oh boy, I wasn't disappointed at all. It was so good. So good. It made my heart ache, made me feel a zap down my spine, a hollow feeling in my stomach, and all the fuzzy feelings in the world with only just a few chapters.
The characters are very well written.
Naoto, a good mother to his daughter, Shizuku. I can really tell that Naoto had the purest heart among all especially when he decided to keep Shizuku. I thought he would hate the child that he's carrying at first but he did not. I really love that.
Shizuku, a daughter that I wish I could ever have. She's the best. She really cares for her mother and she's very sensitive towards her environment. She knows how to act and how to behave. I love how the author had created a mature mindset towards this little girl and how she made Shizuku be considerate of how her mother would feel in particular scenarios.
Lastly, our best husband and Alpha, Hazuki. I wish all men are like him. I really love what he did towards Naoto when he's going through his heat cycle. He really did a great job right there. He's a good lover and a good father towards Naoto and Shizuku. He may be young when he met them but his mindset is also mature. He is mature. He respects Naoto's wishes and opinions. He asks for his partner's permission. He do really believe in a word called ✨ consent ✨ I could never insult this guy nor find any bad things about him.
I wish this manga was longer. I cannot believe this was very short. The plot with this piece was written so well that I want more. If you liked reading this kind of story, An Omegaverse + New found family with healthy relationships and just pure fluff, then this story is just for you.
This is super insta love, but if you can use an insta love it's definitely with omegaverse, because here, everyone it's okey with that, and we love it. The story is cute, and a little sad for what happened to Naoto, but the love story between him and Hazuki it's adorable. Hazuki it's my favorite character, I love when the alpha can be all badass when it's necessary, but in his daily life with the omega is sweet and adores his love one. The family dynamic in omegaverse is one of my favourites things, and here it's shown since the begining. I adoro this manhwa, so cute and fastpase.
