Takeover is the story of Eric Castle and Megan Barnes.
So you tell me that this book is about a guy who’s best friend dies out of nowhere and everything he had now belongs to Eric including the staff now that’s boss. Megan and Eric’s first meet was electric and you could see the attraction. She didn’t like being ordered around but she gladly did it for him. They have a business dinner one night and it turns into a steamy night to which the next day due to Eric’s past he just lets her leave in tears without actually noticing her or even talking to her properly. He thinks it’s just a one night stand but in the back of his mind it’s not and it’s more than that. She’s in tears for days and doesn’t come to work and officially hands in her resignation. He just sees how miserable he is without her and still denies himself the chance at falling in love all over again. One day he can’t take being away from her and goes and apologises about being a complete asshole towards her and literally dissing her like 2 times, once in the hotel and the next in his office and just brushing her off like a piece of lint on his jacket. I’m still mad like she needed to make him grovel UGH I HATE ONE NIGHT STANDS THAT HAPPEN THEN THE NEXT DAY THE GUY IS LIKE OKAY BYE AND THEN EVENTUALLY HE REALISES HES IN LOVE WITH HER.

The problem with this book is... I didn't like Eric, at all. The man was an arrogant, womanizing jerk. And Megan gave in all too easily and too quickly in my opinion.

Takeover by Mandy Morgan is a short story about a owner of an auto empire dies suddenly and the head mechanic (grease monkey) at one of the dealership inherits the whole thing. Turns out the grease monkey, Eric, has a business degree but was burned early on and decided he wanted to just live an easy life so he became a mechanic. That was 20 years ago and he is no 45, single, only does one night stands and was not expecting this situation. Megan is the personal assistant to the dead owner, is 26 years old, has a degree and a bad history with men. Plus she wants to move up the company ladder.
Eric takes one look at Megan the evening of finding out about his new inheritance and all he can think is .........I want her under me for one night. Megan takes a look at Eric and thinks...........you have got to be kidding me that a grease monkey owns the company, but man he is cocky and hot!
The story-line of Takeover is interesting, especially at the beginning. Because it is a short story there is not much background nor details about the characters. But it is an entertaining read that is light and interesting. A great 1 or so hour read when you need a break in your life.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Megan and Eric. Megan was the personal assistant to the owner of an automotive empire and she wishes she could advance at the company. The day she was going to ask for a promotion, she learned the owner had died and now everyone was wondering about the future of the company. Eric was a mechanic at the company and was good friends with the owner. When Eric learned his friend died and left everything to him, he was shocked. Eric was in his mid forties and he didn't want to find love, he was hurt in the past and refused to allow it to happen again. When Eric arrived at the head office, he met Megan and was attracted to her. Megan was attracted to Eric, but she wanted to keep things professional and try to find a way to run the company. Eric asks Megan to dinner to discuss the company, but he also planned to make a move and have a fun night with her. I liked this story, i liked the idea of the mechanic inheriting the company. I liked Megan, i just thought Eric was a little hot and cold with her.

Good start, horrible character development mid-way.
I real Book 1- All Mine, did not think must of the storyline or character development, but saw the author's potential. However, this book blew me away at the beginning great writing but mid-way through it was like the author was in a rush and the story was flushed down the toilet in my opinion. The character development did a 180 from stubborn, I don't need them mentality to I love you!. Just no. It does not do anything for a book (especially a good storyline) to skip over the emotional turmoil do a personality change mid-way through the novella. Would like to see a re-write that's worthy or the characters.

A RUSH TO SAVE THE COMPANY AND WIN THE GIRL.
A quick and easy read about a mechanic who learns he has just been made sole beneficiary of his friends company and estate. When he meets his new personal assistant, he is immediately attracted. He also learns that behind the scenes the Board of Directors have been working with an outside party to break apart the company and layoff all the employees.

Takeover For Love!!
Quick read and new author to me. For being a short book, it was an ok read. Could have been better thought out, and wished the hero showed more feelings, but you will know why when you invest in the book. Megan was a sweetheart and Eric was just trying to run a company and protect his heart. I would definitely try another book by this author and see what happens. Hopefully I can get a 5 stars read eventually :)

A well written older man/younger woman romance. It is a fast pace page turner with lots of steam. It is funny, romantic, and packed with passion and some ups and downs. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Both the story and the writing was unimpressive.
It was a short novella for sure, but still, the characters should have been a lot more developed. It was poorly written. You simply don't refer to a co-worker, who you consider a good friend and confidante, as "the older woman".
You just don't.

A fast paced entertaining read about an older Billionaire and a younger curvy girl romance. It will keep you reading till the end. It is a great read just before bed or on your lunch hour.

I knew Eric would realize how much he loved Megan. Every time he saw the years in her eyes it hurt him a little more. He was trying to protect his heart but he was hurting Megan in the process.

A great read
Eric and Megan story was intriguing and intense and unique from the beginning to the very end. I am glad they finally figured out their relationship.
