Owen Daniels was my everything before he disappeared to become a football star. As soon as I started to pick up the pieces of my life, a little boy with matching dimples and a familiar smirk showed up in my first grade class. Which can only mean one thing. Owen's back. And he's determined to make me his. But I'm done playing his game. Instead, I'm going to play my own. I'm going to make him fall for me the same way I fell for him all those years ago. Then I'm going to show him what it feels like to be broken. Just like how he broke me.
Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
Meh. Sweet second chance story with an affair child and soul mates. I'm caught in a mediocre reading cycle here. Somebody throw me a lifeline, please! :)
Ah! It's been a year since Skye, the last book in Kelsie Rae's Signature Sweethearts book came out, and I forgot all about Saylor and her ex-boyfriend, the hot former football player/single dad! There were bits and pieces of Saylor and Owen's history that we got in the Skye and Sway books (the other two sisters), and now we finally, finally get their story!
This is second-chance romance at its finest. It is angsty and sweet, swoony and romantic. Owen is going for the Hail Mary of reunions, and he pulls out all the stops when it comes to gaining Saylor's trust again. She doesn't let her guard down easily, which I liked, and makes him work for it. They are both coming from a mature place -- him wanting to correct the biggest mistake of his life and her not wanting to get crushed again by him the way she had ten years ago. But they communicate, they don't play games -- aside from one incident where Saylor's insecurities get the best of her and she runs rather than talk things out with Owen. But overall, this was a wonderful, delightful, sweet reunion!
I was kinda disappointed when the reason behind Owen and Saylor's breakup was finally revealed. I get it, and understand why Owen did what he did. But had Saylor known the truth, she maybe would have gone after him, and I think it would have saved both of them a lot of heartache and misery over the last few years. Then again, like Owen says, their journey was rocky and twisted, but he wouldn't have Grady in his life had he not broken both of their hearts. And that is one adorable kid!
The proposal scene was absolutely perfect, and brought a tear to my eye. I loved this book, and how it takes place during the time that Skye and Liam are split up, so it then dovetails with their reunion.

It’s been a decade since the only man that Saylor has ever loved left her behind to pursue his dreams. The first surprise was finding out he returned but that is nothing compared to finding out his son is in her class, but she has her own surprise planned for him.
Owen had his reasons for the actions he took all those years ago and even though he hurt her it was with the best of intentions. He is determined to show Saylor that they have always belonged together and this is a battle he is determined to win.
Owen is the perfect mix of sweet and swoony as he shows Saylor by word and deed that trusting him with her heart will give them both everything they could want in life and more.
The story is nothing new, but that could have been ok if the characters weren’t really bad, specially saylor. For a put together and intelligent 30 something, she have the emotional capability of a 16 years old. That made a really slow and quiet boring story

4.5 star Review Saylor (Signature Sweethearts #9) by Kelsie Rae I found this book to be entertaining and I was invested from the first to the last chapter. I enjoyed Ms. Rae’s style of writing and found the characters easy to relate to and likeable. This is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me.
This is Saylor and Owen’s second chance at love story and although there were some moments that brought tears to my eyes, throughout the read I couldn’t help but cheer for Saylor and Owen to get the happily ever after that they deserved.
My heart broke for the pain and betrayal Saylor went through when Own left her and their home town behind. Fast forward ten years and so much has changed. Imagine Saylor’s shock when she comes face to face with a mini Owen. Determined to make Owen pay for the pain and hurt he put her through, Saylor sets out to win his heart with every intention of getting him to fall for her and then she will be the one to do the leaving. We all know that the best made plans can end up upside down and this is exactly what happens. This was a sweet, romantic, angsty, at times humorous roller coaster of a read that I didn’t want to put down. I fell hard and fast for Owen’s son Grady and I loved how Saylor embraced him as if he was her own, their relationship was heart warming.
Kelsie brought her A game once again! I think Saylor was my favorite Swenson sisters and one of my favorites of the series. I have loved them all but something about Saylor and Owens’s story was just perfect! Saylor was the ninth book in Kelsie’s Signature Sweethearts series. It can be read as a stand alone but if you want sweet, feel good romances, you should read the entire series!
Saylor’s heart was broken years ago and it had never fully healed. When Owen came back to town with his son, would her heart begin to heal or would it shatter?
Owen never meant to hurt Saylor; he did what he thought was best. But even after all the years apart, he knew he had made the wrong decision. Would there be anything he could do to make up for it, or was it already too late?
Oh my heart! These two!! From tears, to laughs, to swoons - this book had it all. Their chemistry was off the charts and then add in Owen’s adorable son...perfection! I really hope this is not the last we see of some of these guys! I did not want to say goodbye!
Owen destroyed Saylor’s heart beyond repair at 18. Went to college football, a prodigy of the game, great potential. College frat party + a drunk pregnancy made him clean up his act, but he was still heartbroken. His son healed part of his heart but he will have to work very heard to heal the other part. His injury and retirement and miserable job will take him back home but will he get the girl, heal his heart and have a HEA?
Saylor was a shell of a person for 9 years, she lost herself, her smile and joy of life. But will she have help getting her old self back with a blast from her broken past? Will she handle the man and his 9 year old son who happens be in her 1st grade class? Will she get her dream job, Owen and his darling son for her HEA? Get the tissues ready, you might have some escaping tears...
I didn't think this book had much of a plot. The things that were mentioned that happened (him leaving, getting a girl pregnant, etc) were more interesting than what was happening now. Also, she took him back way too easily. The story just felt a bit forced.

I love Beta reading for Kelsie ... She always packs the feels in every single page and this one was no different..... This book has been a long time coming and I was so excited to get it in my hands..... Saylor and Owen high-school sweethearts with their life all planned out. It didn't happen quiet like they wanted. Through years of missing THEIR PERSON, through life obstacles, through happy accidents, through missing out on so much. Owen finally comes back home and is determined to right all those wrongs and boy does he... He holds nothing back when it comes to how he feels and that he's in it for the long haul... If only he can convince the oldest Swenson sister to give him a chance. She's as stubborn as he is determined lol... I loved watching them as adults fall in love all over again.... i loved how Saylor embraced Grady as her own ..
"I loved Saylor and Owen's second chance story. This is a story of forgiveness and moving on from past hurt. Owen left Saylor before college and now almost 10 years later he is back in his home town with his small adorable son, Grady in tow and a lot of hurt to overcome. Their re-connection was heartwarming to watch while secretly cheering them on. The fact that Grady was adorable and acted as a buffer/matchmaker only endeared him more. This story has tear-jerking moments and moments of smiling and happiness. I really enjoyed this story. The characters were fun and quirky with the right amount of sass and humor.
""I know what it's like without these moments, and I refuse to take them for granted ever again."" ~ Owen"
Wow this had me clutching my heart rooting for this couple. Had all the feels of heartbreak, humour, love and a HEA no hot sex chapters but you don't need that with this love story you know what they have been up to when the next chapter start's with, I woke up with her lying on my bare chest. A beautiful read that I couldn't put down until finished.
Saylor is book 9 in the Signature Sweethearts Series, this is Saylor and Owen’s second chance romance and their story is an entertaining, captivating read. Each book can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone although I’m sure once you pick one of these books up, you like me will want to play catch up with the rest of the series. Owen walked away from Saylor and his hometown many years ago and he broke her heart and left her devastated but now ten years later he is back but he is not alone, this time around he has his son Grady to consider as well as his own feelings.... Saylor can’t believe Owen is back in town and she is completely shell shocked when she comes face to face with a little boy who is the spitting image of the man who broke her ..... This book touched me on so many levels, I laughed at the witty banter and the classic one liners only a child can deliver, I swooned and I sighed as Owen and Saylor started spending time together, I smiled, I giggled and I cried as I learnt why Owen left all those years ago. This is an emotional roller coaster and it has adorable characters, I fell hook, line and sinker for Grady and I loved how Saylor embraced him as her own. Loved everything about this book and I can’t wait for more in the Signature Sweethearts Series.
I feel like I have been waiting forever for Owen and Saylor’s story! I loved Skye and Liam’s story and really wanted more of them and what better then to read about Skye’s sister Saylor, and the high school sweetheart that broke her heart. This book gives you all the feels on every page. The chemistry is off the charts! I loved the way they reconnect, which I can’t give details on because I’d hate to spoil anything! Grady is the sweetest little boy and even though I don’t usually like single parent stories, this is one I could not put down.
This book does introduce characters from other books in the series but you could 100% read it as a standalone. I highly recommend reading Skye next (or before) because if you are anything like me once you get a glimpse of her in this story you are going to want to know all the details!
I absolutely adore Kelsie Rae as an author. I completely and utterly binge read her Advantage Play Series, so when I was offered an ARC of her up and coming release ‘Sailor’ I full on fan-girled.
This book is a sweet romance, and perfect of those who enjoy second chance romances as a trope. It is about Sailor and Owen, two high school sweethearts who are left devastated after having to make the decision to split up for their futures. It wasn’t really what they’d both wanted, but one believed it to be for the best for their futures. No holding anyone back! This is a very realistic prospect and something I could relate to personally. It was devastating for Sailor and you read how clearly this has affected her since in her views of men and relationships.
But what happens when your old beau returns and he just so happens to be one of your school children’s parents? Spanner in the works! I freaking loved it. Can Sailor learn to forgive, or will she become good at saying goodbye?
I loved this romance, and if you are a Star Wars nerd you will love some of the references. I felt this was realistic both characters behaving exactly like you’d imagine in such a situation, and it made for a gripping plot.
This is the ideal read for those who like sweet romances. If you are new to Kelsie Rae, I’d highly recommend her books. I also enjoyed getting to know Saylor sister’s and love Skye!

Saylor Swenson has a new student in her first grade class, and it’s her former boyfriend’s son. Grady Daniels is an adorable little boy, until he isn’t and gets in to a fight which forces a ‘reunion’ between Saylor and Owen Daniels that Saylor wasn’t ready to handle.
Owen and Saylor’s breakup wasn’t pretty and left Saylor broken and a shell of her former happy self. Saylor can’t help the anger and bitterness she directs at Owen once they meet again, but she also knows that’s not her true nature. And Owen knows it too.
Slowly, Grady and Owen work their way into Saylor’s heart and Saylor opens herself to love Owen and his son Grady.
It was nice revisiting the Swenson parents and Skye as well as Sway and Anthony.
I love Saylor and am so happy to finally read her story. It’s one of pain, regret, forgiveness and healing. The boy that broke Saylor’s heart and left a void in it so many years ago is back in town. The buried feelings that Saylor has come rushing to the surface and the battle raging inside her is almost crippling. She still loves Owen but it’s so hard to let go of the pain. Owen has one thing going for him though. He’s adorable little boy Grady. Grady is super cute and just steals Say’s heart. Their road has many bumps in it but sometimes love is worth taking a chance on and fighting for. I cried, laughed and hoped for the best throughout their story. I truly loved going on this heartwarming journey with the trio.
I got teary-eyed while I was reading through this book. I am still not disappointed by Kelsie's books so far and Saylor is well written that I can feel Saylor's pain. The book is emotional but also sweet with a little bit of flirty moments between Saylor and Owen... to tell you the truth, I want to read their love scenes behind closed door though and if I don't enjoy reading it so much, I would give it 4.5 stars because I want to read some steamy scenes. Lucky for the author because I enjoy reading their banters, I love Saylor plus I adore Grady and Owen is so determined to win Saylor back so in the end, I still decide to give it 5 stars ;) Oh, the sweetest on this book is the message Owen left for her on the dating app. It makes me swoon for Owen even more. Can't wait for The Model and hope it will be steamier than Saylor... I can hope, right ;)
Saylor and Owen were headed for a happy life together. Until he broke her heart before leaving for college. He's back, and his son is in her kindergarten class. Kinda hard to ignore him now. I was vested in this book from the first page, with the story holding my interest until it ended. I was on edge, hoping for these two to finally decide to more forward, confessions, apologies and forgiveness notwithstanding. Their chemistry is off the charts, even as she tries to push him away. Grady, Owen's son, is the most adorable little boy, so intuitive and sensitive. I shed some tears - bring your tissues - some of sadness but many more of joy, watching these two find their happy ending.

Oh my goodness. This book is so great. It's a second chance romance. Saylor and Owen were high school sweethearts until he broke her heart to go play college football. Saylor does her best to live her best life but her heart was broken by her one and only love. Fast forward many years. Owen is back in town. His son is in Saylors class and they have no choice but to talk again. What happens when they find they're both still so attracted to each other? Will they find their happily ever after again? Will Saylor let go of the past and let Owen in one more time? This book is a must read for January 2021 !!
Saylor is a sweet second chance romance that I absolutely adored because it tugged on my heart strings as I fell in love with a little boy named Grady and his sexy football dad. Saylor and Owen were soulmates until choices were made and regrets followed. You could tell they completed each other but insecurities and their own stubbornness got in the way. Saylor is beautiful and caring and I adore her nerdy side and her passion for life. Grady stole my heart and I would love to be his mom. He is such a sweet, considerate and funny kid. You need to read this book for the break room, the movie marathon, the trivia date, the hospital and the letter alone. Saylor reminds us that the traditional route isn’t for everyone, but that’s okay as long as you still find your happily ever after!
I loved reading Saylor by Kelsie Rae because it was such a heart swooning story about Saylor and Owen. They were high school sweethearts and Owen was going to college to play football. They had a horrible break up that devastated Saylor. Owen ruined her for every relationship. Then, he showed up out of the blue years later and with a son named Grady. I loved Owen's character. He was sweet and funny and he tried really hard to get back into Saylor's good graces. Grady was such a sweet kid and he loved Saylor who was his teacher at school. I loved Saylor's character as well. She was such a nerdy nerd with her knowledge of Star Wars and Harry Potter. I loved reading this story and I would highly recommend reading it. It was a wonderful story!!

Saylor is a perfect addition to the Sweethearts series and a wonderful second chance romance story. If you are familiar with the series, you already know who Saylor is and now we finally have her story and a chance to enjoy her journey to her happily ever after with Owen, her high school sweetheart. Their path was bumpy for sure and apologies needed to be made and forgiveness had to be given in order for them both to move on towards the future they were always destined for.
Ireceived this book at a time that I really needed a feel good story and this was it. From the beginning, Saylor Md Owens story sucked me in. A great mix of anger over lost love, romance and humor, I found it to be a quick read because I couldn't put it down! Another plus, I love when a series like this gives small glimpses into past characters and where are they now...it's always nice to get a glimpse of them after the happily ever after.
I absolutely loved Saylor and Owen’s second chance romance! It made me laugh and cry. Grady and Saylor were high school sweethearts. Grady left her when he went to college to play football so she would pursue her dreams instead of following him. Ten years later he’s back, but not alone. He has a son, Grady, who happens to be in Saylors first grade class. Owen’s going to do his best to convince Saylor to give him another chance. Will he be able to prove how much he still loves her? This story was an emotional roller coaster ride that I’m glad I was on. It was funny, sweet, sexy and it kept you engaged all the way through! Their chemistry was off the charts! If you’re as big a fan of second chance romance as I am, then Saylor is the book for you! I’m sure you will love it too!
This book is a part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. Rating this a 4.5!
Saylor and Owen’s story pulls at my heartstrings. I felt like I was in their shoes at one time; praying they both get their happily ever after like I did. It’s story your best friend would tell you. It’s full of regret, strength, and second chances.
Owen comes back into Saylor’s life but it’s not just him this time around. He comes as a package deal with his son. You have to read this book to find out the story behind Owen being a dad, if Saylor has space in her life for them, and what happens when Owen makes the same mistake again.
I definitely recommend this book as a 2021 read, and if you haven’t check out the rest of the series starting with Liv.
Aaaaaaaamazing !!! Love this series so much but definitely think this one is my favorite!!! I love Kelsie Rae's books and all the awesome characters!!! I just hate that they have an ending...I want them to go on forever...Saylor and Owen are meant to be together and through all of life's obstacles they have the strength, love, and faith to make it to forever!!! 10 STARS FOR KELSIE RAE!!!!
I must admit that this book did make me cry in parts. Such a good read and a perfect second chance story. Saylor was heartbroken when Owen left to follow a NFL career. He returns with his son and vows to get Saylor back. It was a very emlotional read and Grady played a lovely part. A really lovely read which I thoroughly enjoyed. Must read the others in this series about her sisters.

Saylor by Kelsie Rae is a wonderfully written second chance romance with high school sweethearts, a single dad, regret, hurt, comfort and forgiveness. It had me feeling emotional and loving it. These two characters really had me feeling the heartbreak of the past and hope for the future. The story is sweet and had a few surprises. Loved it!
