In a dystopian world, technology has taken over. “One platform for all” ensure there is no privacy anymore, everyone is a slave of their own digital life. Siddhanth, a refugee in hiding and Rhea, a brilliant software engineer meet by fate and embark on an adventurous journey through ‘Toggle’- a Conglomerate almost ruling the world. “Is technology making lives easier or is it a slow poison strangling humanity?” as Rhea begins to question it all, Siddhanth has his own demons to deal with. The duo is astounded on deducing that the society’s darkest minds are connected through a network to have their machinations come to life as justice for the rest of the society. As Rhea and Siddhanth try to survive the surreal reality, Toggle will not entertain people meddling with their convoluted plans...
The protagonist of the story is Siddhanth Basu. The story is set is 2035 where technology and artificial intelligence are ruling over the humans. In the current scenario, technology is considered as a boon but will it become a bane in the future?
Due to some misdeeds, the protagonist Siddhanth Basu has to run away from his country. He returned to India after 15 years and saw that the country has been took over all by technology. He meets Rhea, a software engineer. They both want find out about toggle. Book has very well shown how humans will be controlled by technology in the coming future. Even though the story pace was slow initially but it took pace when Siddhanth returned to India. Overall it's a good read.
Imagine a world, a life which is ruled by technology, isn't it scary...
2035 a time when India is developed beyond our expectation - super speciality lifestyle aided (or controlled) by artificial intelligence. In this juncture the author narrates the story of Rhea smart, intelligent, ambitious youngster. Rhea is totally intuned to the advanced technology but finds her life a bit boring. In this situation she is pulled towards Sid. Sid another Indian who has lived past 15 years of his life in a China in restraining situation.
Who is Sid? What is his past?
What connects Sid and Rhea?
Can Sid and Rhea fight against Toggle?
Title 2035 - this caught my attention, this made me pick the book. The book is a error-free easy read. The story plot is different, something relatable. I find the plot relatable because most of the people are obsessively dependent on technology, mainly mobile phones; the scary future narrated in the story can be our possible future. Rhea's character is interesting yet a bit problematic; a youngster dependent on her smart-phone, one who is unsociable yet a dreamer. The problem is that many people can connect to her character. In short this story is a good try by the author, and a great read for a bookaholic.
As the blurb says " Technology has taken over one platform for all " it is true and yet aptly said. Which has a very intriguing question added to it " is technology making lives easier or is it a slow poison strangling humanity"? But what made the title write as 2035 when it is all about the technology in the blurb?
Story of Sidharth how he analysis time and imagined life !! He imagined all the things happening after fifteen years and how everything is collapsed by the artificial intelligence. It's true how technology can be such a crucial part in everybody's life and be such an essential part , but at the same time is it beneficial? A boon or a bane?.
Coming to the plot, Syd is flourishing throughout and also Rhea who is jotting the lines of the emails and planning and verifying what would happen next while predicting the massages. It seems as if there is an intense scene of planning something massive
To all the technology and science fic lovers , who are curious about AI and the agenda behind it
Cover could be much better overall nice plot and well explained characters #mysecretbookshelf
The story is set is 2035 where technology and artificial intelligence are ruling over the humans. Technology has turned into a menace for the future world and when the main protagonist returned to his home country after 15 years he was taken aback by what he saw. India was taken over by Toggle. Technology was ruling the world as Siddhanth meets Reah, a software engineer. She is ambitious, intelligent and brilliant at what she does. The book takes us on a journey on what our future could possibly be with AI taking over the humans leads to mishaps and further. The cover is catchy but I can't say the same for the title of the book. The book as you can see is a sci-fi. The narrative is lucid and descriptive. If you are into sci-fi then you should check it out. Happy reads!
2035 is a story that predicts the future, how the world would be after 15 years from now with technology advancement. How technology plays a vital role in the day to day life of each individual and in the enhancement of everyone's lifestyle. On the other side, AI's take over human intelligence leads to mishaps and further, it describes how the same technology as a boon turns out to be bate. It's debatable that all this technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning would lead to strengthening the livelihood but it would eventually lessen humanity or even erase it from the world. One can already sense it by the minimal interaction with fellow beings and by engaging ourselves in front of gadgets most of the time due to work, entertainment or for any purpose. If enhanced robots/bots come into the personal arena to equip us/lend a helping hand in our daily chores so that we no longer need our brain to strain much for petty things like ordering groceries, our time table, mood enhancements, what not... Maybe one day those bots might decide what we need to do... Exactly this what depicted in a very fabulous way here. The story starts off with Syd dashing a home minister with his car causing him to death and he(Syd) had to move to China with the help of his father mates. He spends almost 15 years in a book shop engulfed in darkness with the guilt and grief of he was responsible for his friend's death in order to save himself indirectly. On top of it, he was put on a mission to curb the technological advancement that would harm humanity and was made to cross the border and enter India. In that process, he loses two other inmates of his life who sacrifice their lives for him. Who were those three people sacrificed for him? What is that technology which overpowers the human brain and crumbs humanity? Is that all you need to know by reading only... I liked the way, Rhea connected the dots and discern the tidbits and framed the message out of mails she received. The story almost connected all the places in the north and even in the south of India by the mention of RJY in Andhra Pradesh. It also traveled from India to China back to India. One would never put it down until the last page for sure. It is so engaging to read how that the technical specialization altered growth, expansion of the IT sector, infrastructural development but glitches of it made everyone be slaves of technology. Enjoyed reading this and highly recommended to all the ages who love something to read about future, technology, the aftermath causes of AI and machine learning would be...
The story is a unique one I've read recently. The plot mainly talks about how technology has turned into a menace for the future world. At present when we are so much into our mobiles and technology we tend to forget how to connect to our near and dear ones. The story talks about one such event where the protagonist is the son of an IAS officer. His father provides him everything but time, and this leads him to a different path where he runs away from home and returns after 15 years The next part of the book shows us our near future where technology has taken over the world and most of the provinces are under Al's. We get to experience a world which horrifies us but also shows us a possible mirror of the future of what might happen if we let ourselves dive into this deep world of internet. The main question is will Sid survive the world where there is no government and not using a phone is considered an offence ? Read to find out.

Review - 1) The cover of the book is eye catchy and the title of the book could have been better. 2) The plot of the story is unique and relevant to the date and future. It is a perfect blend of fiction and AI. 3) The authors have highlighted the point in a dystopian world, everyone is a slave of technology which shakes the humanity. Each and everyone is totally dependent on technology. 4) The future 2035 is very strongly narrated by the authors. 5) This short book is divided into 8 chapters which is readers friendly. 6) The language used is simple and writing style is descriptive. 7) Hats off to the authors for their imagination. 8) Main characters are well developed and described by the author. 9) The flow of the book is well paced. 10) Overall, a page turner read. . . 2035 is a story of Siddanth Basu whose dad being an important member in the government had given all the comforts to his son except his time. This made Siddanth tread on wrong path and had to runaway from his own country stealthily and now returning back in 2035 after around 15 years, he finds that many countries have been completely taken over by AI and the machines were ruling humans mercilessly and Living without a smart phone is an offence when there is no government to take care of its citizens, what will Siddanth do to survive?
Review: - The cover is good and the title just gives out the year. I felt the title could have been more catchy and attractive. - The language is simple and easy to understand. Good flow and shift in the story from China to India and I loved the way Rhea gets the clues and how she deciphers it. - The plot is unique and mainly focussed on the way people are getting dependant on machines and at a point how the AI would totally control the Robots on its own dominating us. - Though it felt scary thinking about the future but the only good thing I found was decrease in the crime rate and the women being safer. - Though it seems unnatural to imagine such a drastic change but still if things are not taken under control and the importance of socialising with living beings is understood, there is a heavy chance of getting ruled by Robots.
Overall a very good read but I wish no search engine or Ceo's of companies with Artificial intelligence wouldn't read and get influenced by it. Jokes apart, I would recommend this story to all the readers who love reading fiction novels and also about technological advancements.
A very decent furturistic fiction I surely believe deserves a try. I liked the editor part as I found the whole work of these 2 authors been very fluent and well developed plot.
The character development and story telling went hand in hand. Quite an impressive attraction in way the authors made me able to imagine the plot.
The story deals with usual human nature in presence of the development in homo-machinery projects. The use of imagination in technological advancements been not very unique but overall it was nice one.
Book : 2035 Author: Shruti Jain Niluptal Gohain Review: This book is based on futuristic sci-fi genre. The story is about our protagonist Siddhant and Rhea and is set in the year 2035 where technology has taken over. The book highlights how technology can be bad and good for us! What would happen if AI takes over. Author has a vivid imagination and story. Language is lucid and easy . Plot is kinda scary. Characterisation could be improved. Cover was good 4/5
The book is totally based on imagination that how our life will be in 2035. Nowadays we are so depended upon the machines and technology that we can't live without them. We are not controlling the machines but the machines are controlling us. We are lacking privacy in the world of technology. We have become a slave for the machines. By the invention of machines we are forgetting our own skills. The story of this machines and their use have been very well explained in the book. And that's true the day is not far when instead of human robots will rule over the world as well as human. But this world is having some positive points like less criminals and making world safer for women. The story shifting from China to India is deeply felt. The lead characters of the story is very well described. Descriptive writing and lucid language is one the major point of the book. The book is divided into 8 chapters. And each chapters makes us curious to know more. The book is a page turner. Cover is beautiful and name is perfect. Recommendations yes
2035 by Nilutpal Gohain and Shruti Jain is a fast-paced novel that sweeps you off your feet from the beginning till the end. The world created by the authors is frightfully real, a future that we must avoid by all means. My favourite part of the novel is how the protagonist, Siddhanth manages to escape from his dreadful existence of 15 years in China, enter India and reach Rhea’s house. The details of the escape have been cleverly handled and so has been the introduction of the futuristic world for the readers. The characters are believable and well developed, and you end up feeling sorry for their helpless state. The only criticism that I have to offer is regarding the ending which could’ve been handled better after creating such a hype around the issue of technology taking over humanity. I was severely disappointed by the last chapter of the book, and hoped for a more positive end of such a fantastic book. Having said that, I would definitely recommend the book for a smooth and interesting take on the Tech v/s Human theme, the fast pace of the story, well developed and engaging plot and the fantastic writing style that takes you right into the world of those characters and leaves you thinking about the danger of technology long after you put the book down. Great work Nilutpal and Shruti!
I really love to read fiction books. The protagonist of the story is Siddhanth Basu. His father is an IAS officer. His father gave him all the comforts of live except his time to his son. Syd moves from India to China. He returned after 15 years to India and observed that most part of the country has been taken over by AI. The story shows how technology plays a vital role in the day to day life of humans. The story also shows AI's take over human intelligence. Technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc would lead to strengthening the livelihood but it would almost erase the humanity from the world.
Rhea's character is interesting and quite relatable. She is a youngster dependent too much on her smart-phone. We can relate us to her who is dependent too much on technology. Really appreciate the imagination put in the book. Great story to read as it gives us an idea of how our future can be by depending too much on technology.
This book had been stewing in my Kindle for a couple of years now. I'm glad I chose this to read. It was a fast-paced narration and had a great setting.
It's the year 2035 and Syd has been away him India for 15 years due to certain circumstances. The journey back is not easy with the new Toggle technology master ruling the world. Everything and everyone are tracked and the data reserve captured over every nanosecond helps the 'government' know more than what the average citizen actively thinks in his brain. He must find his way home and look up how his father died. He finds unexpected help in his journey.
I have reduced one star. This is because I felt the volume too small and the due to the word limitation. As an aspiring author, I know new authors are limited in how many words they can put out. So, this comment goes out to the publishing industry.
Technology is taking over our time, life and everything around us. The story is divided in chapter, which makes us think about the world's reality, that we see nowadays. What will happen when AI takes over the world. This is a dystopian novel, that is speaking the harsh reality that we may have to face if AI continues to exist and expand in this fast manner. AI will become the worst of our nightmares if it expands and takes control of our existence and world. The emotions of characters are so very well portrayed, that gives us a feel of living in their skin. The story of Protagonist Siddhant, who flees from his land and returns back 15 years to find the land of his taken over by AI. Okay so coming to the way this book has been brought up, with easy narration and great flow, the book has no unnecessary or unwanted lagging, which keeps up with the flow. I like the way the story developed, and the way the author have brought in some necessary changes in the society we wish to see, yet seems impossible. The book in overall is a must read. The cover is simple and the language is also simple.
The book's title was intriguing so I wanted to read this book. The title itself suggests that the story is based on time travelling into the future. The book revolves around the year 2035 where there is a developed world which is ruled by the technology. There is less of human interaction and more of dependency on the Robots. The author narrates the story of Rhea - smart, intelligent, ambitious youngster and Syd- son of a minister who was living his life with guilt in China. In the era of AI controlled world, something connects Rhea and Syd. What is their relationship and how are they connected? Why was Syd living with Guilt? This book is focused on the boons and curses of the techonology which has made us all their slaves. The author has explained every aspect of life in the year 2035 in a very interesting as well as a scary way. The characters were well built. The emotions of characters are so very well portrayed, that nothing feels unreal. The twists and turns kept me hooked. The language used by the author is easy and understandable . The narration is smooth and the book is well paced. Definitely recommended to all the fantasy lovers.
Technology today is an integral part of everyday life. Rapid advancements in the field has increased the pace of life, effectively coordinating reality with imagination. In other words we virtually move with our thoughts and as we look ahead, today's technology becomes out dated tomorrow. Technological innovations have ensured maximum customer satisfaction in a demanding market environment. Rapid changes in marketing strategies through technological innovations have caused traditional markets to face business crisis as their overheads exceed income. High rentals have to be compensated by them through unrealistic pricing. Consumers today prefer to shop from home. Online shopping and modern concepts of accessing bank accounts, railway, air, bus and even movie bookings have long since overtaken human intervention.
The move today is towards paperless functioning and reduction of cash transactions for cutting of costs, preventing tax evasion and ensuring financial safety. Public examinations for schools, universities and even job offers are conducted and evaluated.online with early announcement of results. Public and private departments, financial institutions and business enterprises have turned tech-savvy. Even security forces, intelligence agencies and the local police access computers for investigations and idata processing. However, while all the above technological achievements deserve accolades and reflect on our scientific capabilities, we forget the loss of human touch. How often do we socially interact? A generation ago people met to exchange pleasantries and share views. Life moved at a slower pace but more qualitatively. Today, people meet and chat over the internet with total strangers whom they are never likely to meet in person. Family interactions, as had been known earlier, are no longer in vogue at the traditional dining room at home but characterised by distant correspondence across the globe with visitors proving to be more of a nuisance than a welcome presence under such circumstances. The mobile phone in the pocket today is as important as the shirt on the body. In the absence of the mobile phone, life appears insecure. They are not mere instruments for conversation but also gadgets for photography, taping of conversation and storage of information both at home and office. This may also be an intrusion of privacy and a hindrance to exchange of confidential information whether at home or office. It may also prove to be a security hazard. Some institutions today prohibit the use of mobile phones within their premises for such reasons. The loss of or misplacement of a mobile phone creates a panic which was absent yesterday when the brain took care of storage of memory and timely delivery of output without SIM cards! Technology has, thus, combined innovation with tension. A Debit or Credit card may prove handy for a commercial transaction but careless handling may work to the detriment of the card holder. Expert hackers may read through the magnetic strip of your ATM card or even in the case of lesser mortals misuse a recorded or disclosed PIN Imagine a world without cell phones, personal computers, MP3 players, cars, and television. Life without those pieces of technology would be drastically different. In the past century, the world has seen an unprecedented number of technological advancements. However, these advancements are often taken for granted. Most people do not realize the complexity of the processes that occur when they use technologies like the Internet or computers. Nevertheless, are the devices that people use in their day-to-day lives essential? Is technology helping or hurting society? Overall, technology is helping society because it improves the quality of life and it provides independence for physically disabled people Once scientists discover cures for the disease that plague society, the life spans of many individuals would increase. There might be one day when all diseases could be cured by specialized medications or medical procedures. The creation of custom-tailored organs and the ongoing research of diseases will both contribute to the lengthening of human lives. People with physical disabilities are not offered the same independence as people without physical disabilities. Assistive technologies are helping wheelchair users become more independent. understand. I would recommend this story to all the readers who love reading science fiction novels and also about technological and who are tech savvy .

“…one day the machine would be smart enough to make smart decisions about how the world should run”
How the world should run? Something humans have been trying to figure out for centuries yet we reach a place where it feels unfair and arises the need to change things up. If at all we reach where technology replaces every task, from menial to of extreme importance, shouldn’t it worry if technology would understand the need to change itself and not human behavior?
2035 is a story that doesn’t dive so deep into the future, making it all more so scary. The first chapter that sets the tone of the whole book is very gripping. Starting the story with protagonist Syd’s past life, writers Shruti Jain and Nilutpal Gohan suck your interest in. With that, the next couple of chapters it is really hard to keep the book down. You want to know what is going to happen, because somewhere you know it’s happening to you.
2035 is the story about how our comfort with technology, its advancement and its increasing interference in our lives will be the extinction of the human race. The co-authors of this book don’t make it any less real or less traumatic than it is going to be. The book doesn’t have a happy ending because of the way we are headed, honestly, there might be none. Shruti and Nilutpal don’t seem to let the dark times ahead go out go our minds or the characters’.
The plot of the book starts from 2019, a tech-savvy world and takes you on a ride to 2041; a world missing human connection. Accurately highlighting how the unawareness of our increasing dependence on technology will take us to the point of losing our freedom. One technology vast company ruling over countries is not a dystopian idea any of us our alienated to. We all fear it. Apart from this, the book is set India also addresses topics about how power will always stay and personnel with such power will be on the top of the pyramid; doing and making happen anything they want. With 3 deaths in the story, it leaves no time to grieve because that is how it is going to be.
▶An innovative and much needed message for the masses.
#INSIGHT: The novel '2035' is based on the premise that technology in the future can be a bane. Set amidst the time interval of 2019-2035, the story revolves around the protagonist Syd, who is an illegal immigrant of modern India and Rhea, who is a software Engineer living her life away from parents without any social interaction.
#REVIEW: Technology in the current times is definitely treated as a blessing in the world. We are so engrossed with it that we have forgotten the basis of this all and i.e. humans. With minimal human interaction, the world is surely moving towards the path of doom. The novel highlights just that. With a great start to the story the novel moves at a good pace but loses track towards the end. The book keeps you engaged with the story and the characters. The grave end makes you believe that this might be a scenario 15 years down the line where we would be mere slaves to the technology.
#BEST QUOTE: Technology is the mind, the mind is the technology.
#STRENGTH: First of all, hats off to the authors for building such a plot only on the basis of imagination. I could not find a single loophole in the whole system that was shown in the story. The writing style of the authors was very polished. The cover page went well with the content of the book. The characters were well portrayed and were given full space to bloom. Even the message of the book was loud and clear.
#WEAKNESS: To start with, the book had a lot of errors related to punctuation marks. The name could have been better. 2035 did reveal to me that the book is about a particular year but it didn't actually tell me anything about what to expect from the book. I was a bit disappointed with the end as the hype that was created all along the book just got vanished in one single page.
#TARGET READERS: Young generation who is into science fiction can definitely read the book.
Book review 94: . . 2035 by Shruti Jain and Nilutpal Gohain. . . About the book: Is technology a book or a bane?. How convenient if technology takes over all mundane tasks ? But then, what about privacy ? What is the price you pay for your comfort?. . . Jump to year 2035 where technology has taken over humanity. Quite literally, lock, stock and barrel so much so that it can read your thoughts and pre-empt what you require. There is one platform for all, a global conglomerate -Toggle which rules all humanity with the proverbial iron fist. . Syd is a refuge in hiding due to some past misdeeds and Rhea is a brilliant engineering in the technology driven world. Their paths cross and the duo, while trying to barely survive , uncover sinister happenings that will soon bring the downfall of a utopian society. Read on. . . Review : The title is well connected to the story and so is the cover of this very interesting book. The language is simple and easy to understand . The characters and protagonists are well developed . The pace at which the story moves is tremendous and the authors have succeeded in rendering quite a page turner. . . Opinion and Ratings : Very interesting thought process of the authors who have predicted exactly how things will possibly stand in future. Makes for interesting and intriguing reading. The story line is interesting too, though I was not too happy about the ending. . . Rating :⭐⭐⭐⭐ v good
The book starts with the year of 2035 where AI technology has taken all over the world. Siddhanth Basu the main character of the book wakes and find a paper where is written that his father is dead and the date mentioned was 2032 three years before from today. He was travelled back with memories where he was charged of killing Sudhir banerjee, the home minister of West Bengal. His father saved him and transferred him to China. Now it's the time to go back again to India. On the other side Rhea a software engineer receives something about Siddharth that he is homeless she has to save him. Siddhanth moves to Bangladesh and with the help of a person he will go back to India. He meets with rhea from here the story starts picking up the pace. They both will find about toggle and find the solution for the problem. Jaydev basu father of Siddhanth basu knows that toogle with the use of it's AI will take the control over the human emotions. The book shows a lot of things about the coming future how the humans will depend on the machines. Here the Siddhanth and rhea trying to figure out that they could do. Toggle will not stop getting over the humans. The book ends strange to know what will happen you have to read this book. The author has brilliantly written the story where you will be taken to an adventure journey showing the future.
I was intrigued by this book for 2 other reasons. 1. I haven't ever read dystopia by Indian writers 2. I haven't ever read a fiction written by 2 authors sitting miles away from each other
This book is set in a future technocracy wherein it's not the government but search engines like 'toggle' and social media platforms like 'snapbook' call the shots. Where a delay in posting timely selfies might mean instant death and humans are treated as highly disposable. The book also very subtly touches the issue of illegal immigration and how easy it is to cross the North Eastern border of our country from Bangladesh. All these in less than 150 pages so those of you who get intimidated by huge volumes and looking for a quick light read this is a good choice. I am glad such books are being written in a very relevant time. Though I have called it a light read in terms of the language and plot, yet it leaves you with certain questions regarding the future. It provokes you to think and evaluate your dependence on technology. Pick it up if you enjoy sci-fi or dystopia. Pick it up for a quick easy read.
▪️There are stories that will make you think about the world and its working. Is it just limited to things that are perceived by us or is there something beyond, that we often neglect?
▪️Technology has made our lives easier but at the same time it's stealing not our capability to think but also our privacy.
▪️The story is based in a dystopian world where people are technology's slave and are shaking the base of the humanity day by day, making it weaker.
▪️In terms of language the story is simple and has been divided into eight short chapters. The protagonists are strong and dedicated. The strength of the novel lies in the narration.
▪️Overall concept is brilliant and makes it different from what readers usually read most of the time. If you are looking forward to explore/begin with thriller genre then 2035 is a must read or in case you're trying to know dystopian world then you shouldn't miss this work of literature!
This is a story of Siddhant Basu whose dad holds an important position in government. The boy got all the comforts from his dad except his dad time. This made boy to walk on wrong path and situation became pathetic that moves to him to run away to China and came back after around 15 yrs. Later on he put on some mission to curb technological advancement that would harm humanity and made to cross the border and enter India.
The story timelines that how the world would be after 15yrs from now. It must be with technology advancement. Technology plays an important in an individual life. The plot of the story is interesting and it’s a perfect blend of fiction and reality. The future 2035 is very strongly narrated by the authors. Over all a page turner read . I will recommend this to all book lovers.
The main character of the story is a guy named Siddhanth Basu. He got all the luxuries in life as his father is an IAS Officer. But due to busy schedule, his father couldn't give his time to him. He moved to China. After 15 years in China, he moved back to his motherland India. To his astonishment, he saw that the country has been taken by Artificial Intelligence.
There are not much humanity in such a world and humans are controlled by technology.
The second main character is of a girl named Rhea. She is like us who is on her smart phone all the time. Read this interesting story to enjoy this journey through 'Toogle' that is almost ruling the world.
Imagine a near future where humans are so dependent on technology that it ends up having power over them! '2035' is set in that zone, in the form of a taut sci-fi thriller that gives goosebumps all the way! The writing is crisp and intelligent, and the story-telling gripping and engaging! Kudos to authors Nilutpal Gohain & Shruti Jain for delivering such a brilliant & power-packed piece of work in one voice! Undoubtedly among the best thrillers I've read in recent times!
It started with a well imagined world, How Indians got to lengths to hide their crimes. The punctuations need a lot of work. It seemed to be written in a hurry by the time you reach half through the story. There's no thought put into the names of dystopian companies controlling the country. Then there was good hype built at the end but it ended abruptly. The ending needed a little more work.

2035 is the first full-fledged novel by Shruti Jain and Nilutpal Gohain, who went on to write distinctive individual works. 2035 is a science fiction, dystopian novel, very near to reality even now. It is fast-paced. No dragging narration anywhere. One can find many personally relatable points. To me, Rhea binging on Kaju Katli is extremely relatable as it is my favourite! Her need for half an hour to reboot after waking up in the morning reminds me of my friend, but she needs almost an hour. There is an Alexa of the future - Alie, Slurpp for Zomato, Nile for Amazon, Toggle for Google, TPay for GPay, and Slambook for Facebook. I love the idea of how Nile forces us to buy something, at least to exit the shop. The whole story is very gripping, an edge-of-the-seat dystopian thriller with good covering of any loopholes that can occur until the climax. But the ending seemed out of place. Since it is an AI, still in progress, maybe just the instructions were enough to put the doomsday on hold. What I could not comprehend is why would the AI accept instructions from a newborn baby, Ayang, whose Toggle id Siddhanth was using. Maybe by then Toggle Id had understood that Ayang is not a newborn, as Jaydeb had informed. But if Toggle’s AI was so invasive that it could understand Siddhanth was not a newborn that he was posing to be, and constant data transmission was happening from Siddhanth to the AI to create VR for him, then the AI would also have seen his past. It could have easily judged that Siddhanth was declared dead years ago. 2035 is a good sci-fi read. One of the few good ones written in this genre.
