Some wounds never heal, and for Jonessy Price, the reemergence of her mother is a unscabbing scar, rejecting time’s insistence that it heals. Though she can woo Mali with old memories and acting as the mother Persia has always desired, Jonessy isn’t moved by Willona Price. However, she has no choice but to rearrange her life for the Price Matriarch. As if dealing with her mother isn’t troublesome enough, Jonessy struggles to become whole after a piece of her was taken away abruptly. She throws herself into taking care of everyone, neglecting herself. The one place she finds solace is in her artwork. Although slow, her healing begins, and just as she makes strides they come to a halt at the possibility that the person responsible for shattering her world is alive, flittering in and out of her life in an unexpected way. Jonessy’s best friend Envy has gone from writing the book baes of her dreams to sleeping with a nameless, faceless one referred to as “Stranger.” What she doesn’t know is that he’s the catalyst for past and future events.
Casanova Wilde’s identity has revolved not around his money, the harem of women he once entertained, or even the respect he garners on the street. Without the use of his legs he struggles with being a man, specifically being the man he promised Jonessy Price he would be. No longer the source of affection for most and a threat to the rest, Nova navigates life searching for his purpose, only to find his condition hasn’t changed his circumstances; he has. Refusing to stand in his own way, Casanova Wilde works on returning to full form, which he realizes doesn’t mean reverting to his old ways, simply amplifying the same heartless thug Jonessy fell in love with. As Nova goes on a journey to match his mental and physical, Blanc discovers the detriment to keeping the world on his shoulders. Chaos unfolds as Casablanca Wilde searches for Leon Price’s killers, leaving a path of chaos and destruction. In the midst of it, Blanc learns the cost of being the hero when his loved ones are placed in the line of fire due to his careless mistakes. With no one to turn to, an unlikely ally teams up with the coldest Wilde Brother to complete a story of sex, money, and murder.
At the center of the impending war between the Wilde and Hines Brothers is Mali Price, who pays for her sins at every turn. Walking the tight rope between doing the right thing and remaining complacent for the sake of acceptance, Mali has her own traumas to unpack, especially when they threaten the very people who have kept her head above water whenever she was drowning. Will she risk everything to absolve herself of her previous transgressions? Or is it too little, too late?
The Hines brothers really thought they were running things and could do whatever they wanted. They deserved everything that came their way. Envy overreacted and instead of searching for affection and intimacy she should've taken heed to what Jonessy tried warning her about. I bet Mali wished she'd left Willona where she was. Willona was willing to sacrifice her daughters for her own selfish reasons. Maciej and Maajid had some serious issues with them. I loved the Price sisters and Wilde brothers. They were faced with many obstacles but were able to overcome and build something better. I was rooting for Blanc to stop focusing on the past and finally try with Mali. Nova and Jonessy's love spoke volumes and it was good knowing they got their happiness.
I enjoyed this book and series. I was hoping Damage and Envy got together. I liked Cass with Jonessy. Jonessy and Mali stayed on my nerves. Persia was sweet along with Nicholas. Glad Blanca got over his first love and saw a future with Mali. The girls mom was a hot mess. Char had too many kids. I believe Maleij really cared about Mali even with those circumstances. Kinky was a bird.
Tya Marie you kept the action going. Couldn't out the book down. I'm glad you fast forward in time to show what drama they had going on. Blanc came through the family. Mali and Blanc making it official, I need to see what's happening with them. Damage still has some secrets we don't know about. I got a feeling your going to put Damage and Envy together. Jonessy and Nova weathered the storm and made it official. Can't wait to see what New ride you have for us with the rest of the family.
This was one hell of a series! From beginning to the end.... page turning, full of drama, interesting, engaging.... just loved it all. I’m seeing room for spin offs... Casablanca and Mali, and would Envy find love? Nova and Jonessy already found their happiness amidst all the drama and trials. This book is a definite must read... that you will definitely enjoy! Great job! Looking forward to the spinoff!
Man the Wildes men and Price sisters went through it on this series. Man so ready for Blanc and Damage books. This series was lit. Their mom came back on some money stuff and I'm glad she got found out. Love was strong throughout this book. I'm glad that Mischonne and Blanc closed that chapter in their life. Blanc still holding that V card lol.
When I tell you this book had it all. Drama betrayal secrets plotting murder everything. Damage almost gave me a heart attack. Nova was kicking real knowledge and Blanc is my favorite. Those Price sisters mannnnnnnnnn. I’m so proud of Mali. Persia is so cute and Jonessy is the glue that hold them together. Great story awesome ending
Great ending to a great series. Hated to see the end of is it? Hopefully, we'll see more of these characters in the future. Definitely loved the Price girls and the Wilde boy's. I feel it's so much more to their story. So glad the Hines brothers got exactly what they deserved. Highly recommend this series. Job well done Tya Marie.
These brothers did not disappoint. Mali had to learn the hard way who to trust. She really got taken advantage of. Jonessy had a breakthrough, Envy lived up to her name literally and Persia was the highlight in their lives as usual. The conclusion was drama filled and their mother was something else. Really good story and characters
A good ending to a series that I loved.. The drama, secrets and deceit were everything. The author has done a great job bringing together a great group of characters that are both likeable and interesting.
I enjoyed reading this entire series. It was great and I hope it’s not the end for the Price girls and Wilde boys. Glad the Hines brothers got what the deserved...I recommend this as a must read series. Tya you did a great job as usual...
