He feels like he won his own Gold Medal with his Golden Girl🥇
Peyton is the reigning Olympic Champion and because of her publicist since winning her medals, she is literally on posters everywhere, even cereal boxes. She’s taken a position coaching a girl who comes from a wealthy family. When medals and messages start turning up, she tries to ignore them until her coach gets the information out of her. When Noah shows up unexpectedly, she feels like that young girl with a crush again❣️
Noah turns up to see Peyton and look into her situation, when Owen her brother calls him from overseas. Noah has always held an attraction for Peyton and now with her life suddenly in danger, he’s trying to not focus on his feelings for her but their chemistry is undeniable.
So many twists and turns and certainly never suspected who the person was sending the medals and messages to Peyton, which was a nice surprise as I normally always guess correctly before I finish a book😁 Loved Noah and Peyton and I’m super keen to find out more in the next book about Ethan and Esmeralda💕
Amazingly this series just keeps getting better and better! No doubt some readers will agree that authors can get stuck-in-a-rut with book series that go beyond 10-11 books. It all begins to read like a checklist: 1. Boy/girl, 2. Girl gets in a sticky situation, 3. Boy in his amazing-ness rescues girl 4. They live happily ever after. Bleh! Ms. Velvet to a point follows my silly outline; but she never fails to grab your interest and hold it throughout. I’ll admit I normally figure out the more “mysterious” stories (who-dunnit) pretty quickly, but not this time!
Love the story and characters (of course my favorite “little man” Kai finally makes an appearance at the end. Love the potential new add(s) of Declan AND Jamal. (Fell in love with little Jamal and really hope he becomes a regular! What a great kid! Besides, Declan needs to return his precious bear.)
If you’ve never read anything in the series, you are MISSING out. I look forward to many, many more to come! So far, I am not bored at all!! 👍👍
The thing I adore about Velvet Vaughn's books is that you can't put them down. The story of Peyton (the Golden Girl) and Noah (the Security agent) is action packed. Full of an awareness turning to a love forever. I recommend this book to anyone who seeks this gem of a story.
Constant action and suspense kept me guessing to the very end and still surprised me.😉 I really liked how she brought characters into the story nicely blended them in all the action. I hope for future spinoff books with Owen, Eric Bishop, Declan, Detective Caldwell. I would read again which says a lot. Please keep the series going.
This book was even better than the last, I wasn't shocked that I couldn't put it down, it took me a few hours to read.. I am now waiting impatiently for the next one...
