Finding his very own Daddy is harder than finding Prince Charming.
Noah Lavoie isn't anyone special, an average guy working as a veterinarian with a few kinks and fetishes. For too many years he explored the BDSM lifestyle, but consistently felt something remained missing. In a world of black and white, Noah struggles to understand where to find the gray.
Then… A mysterious contract. No strings attached. Never to know the Dominant’s identity. Noah clings onto his only hope, a man he can call Daddy.
Cold, ruthless, charismatic. Bane Rozek believes himself impenetrable. He built his empire, fabricated from lies, blackmail, and extortion. Dark secrets he holds in his palm could cripple the most powerful of people and organizations. It's all a lie, a simple illusion to hide his truth.
He did it all, built his fortress and claimed his power and sovereignty, for her. But Bane knows Death’s chaste kiss intimately. What Bane wants is a connection.
This time on his terms… An innocent boy offering the purest submission. A contract holding them both at a distance. A boy that tugs fiercely at Bane’s dark heart. If only Bane could believe himself worthy to be the Daddy Noah proclaims to love.
They come to me in the night, creeping into my head. Their voices are all different, their stories all dissimilar, but they keep saying the same thing...
“Show us, tell us to the world. Bring us into yours, and make us known.”
Then I sit and they take over. They tell their tales of love, loss and sinister misfortune, not all of them get a happy ending, but they are pleased when their part is written.
I sometimes find myself lost in my own mind; a world very similar to our own yet so different. Things don't go bump in the night—they squeal, and crawl under your skin, making you grind your teeth, and your stomach turn over and put your nerves on edge. Then there's the drama. Oh, the drama!
I write because I must! There is so much inside of me that needs to get out. So many stories to tell, characters that want to be heard, and hearts lost and won. Words and art are my way of bringing my world to others. I enjoy telling tales of the human condition but working in elements of the supernatural. Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, Witches and the unexplainable all set against the human world or worlds of their own.
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in a working class family and enjoy writing, cooking and spending my husband's money! Yeah I’m a cocky little brat too :) (and proud of it, spankings included.)
Imagine this : A mysterious contract. No strings attached. Never to know the Dominant’s identity. Noah clings onto his only hope, a man he can call Daddy. . . It started quite spectacular, deeply emotional and devastating!! . Bane, the Blood King of Lormount City, wealthy, revenge taker, is lethal, he is feared and powerful, build up his imperium for one goal. But behind closed doors, where a blindfolded boy submits to him, he uses his powers for a different goal.
Noah, a veterinarian, taking care of animals, lives a different life. Exploring the BDSM lifestyle for years trying to find the right person, who can give him what he yearns for, a Daddy! Then he gets an offer, a contract. A deadly Daddy and a sweet boy...
This was so fucking intense, I almost couldn’t take it. Bane working Noah was breathtaking, it was erotic, sweet, painful, dirty and overwhelming. At times the story went very intimate, it made me feel like a voyeur. Their interactions and Noah’s behavior towards Bale gave me thick goosebumps! Gosh, it’s exactly what I long for in a story, it’s intriguing, dark, rough, dirty and drenched with beautiful emotions that reach my core. It was a delicious, wonderfully written story, extremely captivating, it cost me a part of my night because I didn’t want to stop. Both Bane and Noah had engaging personalities and were good developed. The dark environments made it thrilling, the spicy scenes were detailed, arousing and scorching dirty hot, their relationship heavy emotional. The plot was well thought out. Overall an excellent written, appealing story!
I feel like I read a different book to most people who have reviewed this. The first half had its problems but was ok. The constant flashbacks did help to fill in the blanks since we are dropped right into the middle of Noah and Bane’s existing “relationship”.
Then shit went sideways because the last half of this was a mess. The characters kept flip-flopping, changing their minds and personalities between paragraphs and sometimes between sentences. There was also an over abundance of characters being introduced, that will likely have their own books, but any semblance of a plot got dismissed in place of an info-dump. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very intrigued about Croc...and his twin cocks...but it’s like the author got so excited about all these cool characters in their head that they half-arsed the rest of the story. I honestly stopped caring about Noah and Bane about 60% in. I love a dark book but this was a bit shallow for my liking.
I enjoyed this book a lot. For a shorter read it packed a serious emotional punch that made me think about it even after I finished. That's the best kind of book for me. Told in dual POV and partly through a series of flashbacks, this is a story of a man who found salvation in the arms of another, a story of loving somebody despite their past, a story of finding balance.
Noah Lavoie might consider himself an average Joe but his kind heart and compassion make him special. He sees more than others and yet can't find that person who can give him what he craves - rough yet gentle, forceful yet tender - it's either one or the other, and that is not good enough for him. When he is offered something slightly unconventional, he doesn't realize that it might be that perfection he is looking for. Before he knows it, he is happy, in love and wrecked for any other man but his Daddy. If only Daddy felt the same... I liked Noah's gumption. He went toe to toe with the scariest meanest mofos of Lormount City, and lived to tell about it. His care for his Daddy, his faith in him was humbling considering the betrayal and danger he faced. He didn't know that the man he fell in love with was the one to avoid at all costs. But in the end it didn't matter because Noah's body and heart was no longer his own.
Bane Rozek faced impossible odds, used everything and everyone to get to the top. He is who people have nightmares about, but even he is sometimes human. Even he feels lonely and wants what everyone else has - someone to love, cherish and protect. But who can stand to love a monster? When he concocts the plan to find a willing body anonymously, he never dreams that the times with his boy will be his peaceful harbor in the turbulent sea of violence and anger. Despite his vicious displays, blood and rage he tries to scare Noah away with, there are glimpses of a broken man who suffered enough, who needs someone to be there for him since no one ever cared to stay.
Their relationship is passionate, and their chemistry is explosive. Noah feeds Bane's need to nourish and protect, and Bane takes the burdens of everyday life from Noah's shoulders, takes the bad and hurtful away. I loved how in tune they were together like they were meant to be. Bane's friends came from all walks of life and were another component that added to the story, and made me curious about what made them tick. Another wonderfully angsty read that I highly recommend! Copy received for my honest and unbiased review
I’ve been thinking very hard about the kind of review I want to write for Noah’s Bane. I have two very distinct feelings about the book, so I’ve decide to do it in a two-pronged way. First, I just want to say I am a big fan of Daddy/boy stories, and while the blurb for this book made it clear it was just that, it also gave me a sense of…almost danger. I knew it would be darker than I usually read, but I was curious, so I grabbed it up. I think Noah’s Bane is beautifully written. Sometimes, it’s downright poetic. The descriptions are rich and powerful.
This writing style is compelling, and it held me in its grip. There were times when I was uncomfortable with the subject matter (more on that later). Still, I pressed on, and I give the author credit for being able to bring such vibrance to such an ugly place.
I loved the different take on the Daddy/boy relationship, it was new and different with a contract and anonymous meetings. And with the flashbacks I really felt Bane's care for Noah, how he fought with himself for wanting what he shouldn't crave.
Noah's father intrigued me, with a secret past and then there was the moment when he might not be who he seemed to, and how ever excited I was about the possibility it fizzled in to nothing. At least Bane never went soft and pliant, he had his edge and blood on his hands even after he took his boy.
It all tied up nicely in the end with a wedding, and I think I had preferred it to not have ended in a wedding and to be longer. Things sped along after the kidnapping, it felt much like I got a whiplash and then a pat on the end with a sweet ending. Mostly because I wanted more of the two, more flashbacks to how things developed and their relationship since it jumped from just meeting face to face a few times to how it ended.
4,5* This is my first book from Wulf and I hope he writes more in this line... It was dark and hot! Bane and Noah had a turbulent relationship from the start... but the dark crime boss was head over hills over his boy! A great story that got me hooked from the start, and really well written! Can't wait for book 2...
time of death 37%. i hate when i start a book and i have to play catch up with the MCs because i missed two whole years of the story but it was still interesting so i kept reading.
but the flashbacks make me want to set myself on fire. i can’t with the back and forth.
Noah's Bane is a masterpiece of dark, rough, gritty characters exposing their vulnerable side. In a world that is far from fair or perfect, hearts have grown hard, guards were raised, and everyone knows it's safer to keep their distance. Noah and Bane have protected themselves in different ways, and agreed to a contract that satisfies their dark needs without the complication of emotions. Until one of them breaks the contract...and the other has to face the fact that the contract was broken the first night they met. With a skilled writer like Godgluck at the wheel, this is one novel you won't soon forget.
If you want a novel to grip you...to make your heart pound, make you bite you lip and sigh, and get you hot and uncomfortable...this is the one for you. Noah's Bane is where dark hearts meet, fall, and rise again like a phoenix. It will leave you wanting more, make you laugh, cry and tremble right along with Noah, until those calm words from Daddy Bane remind you to breathe.
“Take a deep breath. In and out, can you do that for me, Noah?”
Daddy Bane will lock those eyes on you, grab you by the hair, pull you into place and steal your heart. His tough shell has no hope of surviving Noah, and the gentleness he shows his mother will make you weep. But don't mess with him. The minute you are a risk to his Boy, all bets are off. Daddy Bane bites. Hard.
“There wasn't a speck of Bane Rozek that was not corrupted or stained with his dark sins.”
Wulf Francu Godgluck is an author you can rely on. You want hot, dirty and fierce? You got it. You want something kinky, brutal and heartstopping? Done. You want tender, emotional and beautiful? You get that too. The talent is undeniable, and unfailing. Pick up one of their books you will never be disappointed. Noah's Bane is no different. It has everything you could want – dirty talk, hot smut, tender emotions, and a heart-thudding rollercoaster ride of adrenaline – all wrapped up in a story that grips you from page one and refuses to let go.

I was surprised, at first, to find that it began with the relationship already two years into the contract...BUT...it made total sense. To see Noah's feelings, to understand his love, it made more sense that it had grown over the two years he'd had with Bane, rather than trying to cram falling-in-love into the rest of the plot, when it was the central theme. The story was a perfect blend of present day and flashbacks, which were vital to showing us the progression of Bane and Noah's relationship. But, they weren't overwhelming, and they were sprinkled sparingly into the plot at the most important stages. The central characters will steal your heart, and the secondary cast will make you itch for the next book in the series, hoping and praying that the one you like best will get the next book. Me? I'm hoping for more of Crow, more Levi, and more Croc. I wouldn't say no to some Lance and Dacio, or a little of Sir Salis, either. I absolutely adored Noah's relationship with his dad, and Bane's relationship with his mother, as well as the other brothers. The men in this series are tough, gritty and full of pent up aggression. Walking testosterone. But they're not your pretty-boy gym-bunnies. These are hardy, older men who know what they want and what they're willing to do to get it. They're real, tough, and ready to take what they want.
I'm fairly new to Daddy/boy books. It's never been a theme I actively sought out, like BDSM, because I find that I need a particular author to tell it right for my tastes. Godgluck does it RIGHT. This book so perfectly reminded me of a long-time favouite BDSM series, The Hampton Road Club, and will perfectly fill the gap that series left behind. Noah's Bane has reignited my love of well-written BDSM and Daddy/boy stories, and I can't wait to read more in the series.

Favourite Quotes
“Besides, everyone wore masks. Everyone. Some were far too comfortable with them, deceiving others into believing they were the truth rather than the actual person behind it. Noah never wore a mask when he entered the club or the playroom, he never pretended to be anything other than Noah Lavoie. When he did a scene with Daddy, all his actions, all his choices and all his words were true. True to him. True to Daddy. True to being Noah.”
While I have not moved on from of Gods and Monsters series, Wulf Francu clearly has and I have feelings about that.
I also have some feelings about this story...
Daddy kink is a fav of mine. I’m always here for the sweet and caring. The sheltering warmth. This book had those elements. Noah and his mystery Daddy built a trusting relationship even if Noah was blindfolded every encounter. They worked. It was sweet.
The action sort of came out of nowhere, even though I was expecting something to happen. It was a bit of an info dumb and a lot of things happening all at once. Some parts also seemed wildly out of place to me, and I expected it to move in a different direction. It was crammed in, and I felt it should have been drawn out a little more.
None the less, the characters stood out to me. They were distinct and I enjoyed their dynamic. The author tends to build strong characters, and it’s one of the things that makes his books work for me. I also enjoy that he tends to skirt the bounds of darkness. Dark twisty things always get me into a story, and while this is definitely lighter than Of Gods and Monsters series, it was edgy enough to keep me engaged.
If this is a series, I’ll be looking out for the next one. I’m very interested to see where this goes and if it stays with the original couple or moves to other characters that were introduced. I’m fine with either but I would like more time with this couple and for the world to be expanded more.
This is not light and fluffy but it’s also not too heavy. If you like Daddy kink with some action plot that’s what you’ll get here. **No ageplay.
Disclaimer: please look at other reviews of mine to understand what not heavy means to me.. I’ve tagged this to edgy bordering on dark so I am clear. I don’t want anyone caught off guard but if you’re looking to dip your toes into something edgy, I’d say this would be a good start.
* I was gifted with a copy of this book with no expectation to review. These are my honest thoughts*
Hot (very), kinky (very), violent (very) and yet at times so tender it bordered on sweet, this book was everything I hoped for and a lot more than I expected.
Nothing in this story is quite as it seems. Noah isn’t quite as needy and submissive as he appears at first, although he thrives on submitting to his Daddy. While it is impossible to either ignore or deny Bane’s ruthless, aggressive, and often cold demeanor, he’s more than just the product of his violent past and present. As for their story…just when you think you know what’s happening and that things might settle…twist.
Noah, we get to know very well from the start. Bane, on the other hand comes in bits and pieces. As Noah unravels his Daddy, more of the whole person emerges. As a result, a good chunk of Bane’s back story isn’t revealed until…well, the back of the story. It worked just beautifully for me because it meant that I could see Bane in all his glory, shortly before he got the ending he and Noah so richly deserved.
Beautifully written in flowing language, Noah’s Bane is filled with deep feelings, heartfelt emotions, and glorious descriptions.
Yes, this is kink. Yes, this is erotica. And it is both those things at its best and delivered in a most engrossing and vivid portrayal.
This book had such great promise.....if only it was longer. The author seemed to have so many things they wanted to put in this book but either fell short on time or just needed to produce a book for the public which makes me really sad. I could have seen this book be a near 100k word book. It would have been so much better if it had just a little more time spent on it. It jumped around and to quite frank the formatting was wonky and just ugh. Betas should have pointed this out. Arcs should have. Someone should have. I felt like my head was being just wiped back and forth. There was way to much sex and not enough plot. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster and not a good one. Being a daddy dom is not just plain sex and I really hate that this book makes it out to be that...that’s not real life and i had such high hopes only to be disappointed.
There's something so damn sexy about a Daddy taking care of his boy. All domination and care, intensity and submission. But there is really something special when the roles are reversed. When the boy displays his strength and takes care of his Daddy. And when Daddy gives in and shows his vulnerable side. This amazing story was equal parts of both. Equal parts vulnerability and strength. Equal parts domination and submission. Equal parts intensity, heat and love - that will have your heart racing and your hands unable to put the book down. When a story has you falling in love with the characters, mad at them, frustrated at them and cheering for them - that's what a great love story is. Noah's Bane nailed it.
Omg, you have no idea how much I’d needed this book in my life. Maybe because life is being a bit shitty lately, because I’m a sub missing her Mommy because of long distance, but I just found myself getting so damn emotional throughout most of it, tears streaming down my face and everything. Hell, I feel like I’ve had no time to read lately, and I still read this in one sitting because that’s how good it was?? I love Noah so fucking much, but it’s not even about the characters or the specific plots or subplots. It’s just how well written it was and what an emotional trip it was, and?? Like, okay, I’m gonna shut up now but, seriously, it’s a must read. It’s perfection. That’s it. And I need more. Duh.
I read this book in a less than a day and it grabbed my attention from the start! This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I look forward to reading more. The scenes didn’t see too much and I like how they wrote them.
I would of liked to get more of a backstory on both characters but with it being a shorter story the author did a good job.
The only thing for me is the ending was abrupt and some details left me confused and I had to re read to confirm what was happening with the story. The author introduced characters near the end that I didn’t remember so I don’t know if I missed them or they are in another series.
Great start to a new series. Noah and Bane are fantastic!!! Their differences became the others strengths in the best way. I love how the book started and it just grabs you. Noah has a huge heart and unique, instantly fell for him and wanting him to give into his desires. Bane was the perfect dark character working through his own demons and not being able to let Noah go. Danger, sexy and fit all f my kinky buttons! Emotional and different insecurities these guys fight through. Great side characters and Universe that I want to know more about! Can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.
I picked up this book on a whim. I read the paragraph synopsis and started reading. It is a dramatic story of a man, Noah, looking for a daddy. Noah finds the perfect daddy, Bane. Unfortunately for Noah, Bane doesn’t want a “love” relationship and the story takes off from there.
I was immediately drawn in. I loved the way the author, Wulf Francu Godgluck, developed the story as you could see the protagonists, Bane and Noah, develop and grow. The author did a great job of keeping the reader guessing until the end. I very highly recommend this book. I’m looking forward to reading more of Mr. Godgluck’s work.
And can sweetness and light coexist with the darkest shadows? Noah's been in the BDSM scene long enough to yearn for the special bond of a Daddy/boy connection, but when he's summoned to the club office and presented with a contract, is he ready to commit even when he won't be able to know his Dom's identity? When Noah finally confesses he's breached the terms and fallen in love with his Daddy all hell breaks loose and he's plunged into the darkness. Intense and beautiful, Wulf writes with wit and the dirtiest kinds of grit.
I really struggled with this novel. I wanted to love it, hence trying my hardest to finish it, but that last chapter (or last two) were left. This had a lot of potential, but the novel felt rushed, blank spots left out in between each scene that left more questions and need to know and understand what was going on. So many good characters that with a little more time and character development, I would have loved to have read their own novel/story, but I think this one has put me off the rest of the Lormount City books to come.
This is an awesome read. Godgluck writes a tale of love unlike I have read before. He steps into the world of Daddy and little boy. Daddy lives in a dark violent world and his little boy, an educated man working as a Veterinarian. If you have never had the opportunity to peek into this world of DD/lb I suggest you dive into Noah's Bane. Bravo goes to Godgluck for introducing us to new ideas and understandings other than the 'typical' m/f relationships.
This was a raw, gritty, dark and dangerous read. Noah , a vetinarian longs for a daddy, enters into a contract with an unknown person. He is not to know identity or to fall in love. But Noah broke the rules, he fell for his secret daddy. Bane is a dangerous man and does not want to endanger sweet Noah, he believes he doesn't deserve forever. This was a compelling story and I enjoyed reading it. The characters had a lot of depth. The storyline was well done.
Wow!! This was just sooo good!! Bane is the most dangerous, rough & dirty daddy I've come across so far in this genre. But also the most loving in his own, dark and intense way. The love and longing Bane and Noah have for each other runs so deep and is so hard won, it made this an incredibly gripping, steamy read! I loved how they started out too, with Noah never knowing Bane's identity. The flashbacks were done really well and tied into the present perfectly.
What I loved about this is yeah it was a love story but Wulf doesn't do fluffy love he does raw, rough and gritty..And though there were tender moments they came from darkness.. This was a great start to what I'm hoping is an epic series of darkness and lust..I loved each and every page it was worth the wait.
Too much sex, not enough plot. I'm definitely intrigued, but this fell short in a lot of ways. I wanted more depth, more information. The world this author builds is great but unfinished. I would have been happy to read double the word count to get the story I craved, to have a chance to care for the characters. Hopefully the second book is more fleshed out.
This very gifted author had me hooked from the very first page.
Noah’s Bane was dark, sexy and hot. The darkness within Bane is endless yet a beautiful boy’s submission, soothes his soul, keeping the darkness at bay. Is he worthy of Noah’s love?
Great book but felt rushed towards the end especially, when it fast forwarded two months; I was absolutely gutted.
Wulf Francú Godgluck wrote a very dark intense book. It draws you in and doesn't let you go. Keeps you wondering what Daddy Bane was going to do to his sweet baby boy Noah. Does he allow Noah see into his heart and into his dark life. Noah was a very hot that was able to calm Banes demons.
Noah and Banes story will grip your heart and not let go, what does it mean to fall in love with someone whose identity you don't know, this book answers that perfectly with angst and a sweet sweet boy
What a read! My heart bled for Bane... What a life he has led. A life that's shaped his relationship with Noah. This was an emotional, super hot, super sexy read as only Francu Godgluck can do. It is a short read and i so wish there was more of this awesome couple. Terrific read!!!
Another hit for Wulf as always this casts a spell and keeps you hooked. Noah is a darling and bane is everything you expected him to be. A great daddy book without littles . I highly recommend you read this very hot book
